Please join us as we receive a message from Psalm 27 delivered by our guest speaker, the Rev. Dr. Jason Pickard.
How are the faithful to respond in moments of pain, anguish, and despair? In a fallen world, these times come and go for all of us. Before they do, how can we train our hearts to respond? In the midst of his own incredible turmoil, King David wrote Psalm 27, which serves us as a training of the heart to respond to those painful moments when the goodness of God and the painfulness of the moment appear to be in conflict. What do we do when we know God is good but it feels like he is not? -
In today's sermon, Pastor Ross introduced the new series "Heart of Worship," which explores worship through the Psalms. He explained that worship is about expressing deep devotion and adoration for God, not just through singing but with our whole lives. Using Psalm 27, he highlighted five facets of worship: seeking God's protection, offering praise, praying, desiring God's presence, and following God's path.

What truly inspires awe in you? In Psalm 27, David describes four attributes of God that leave us awestruck by Him no matter what circumstances may be.

On this Second Sunday in Lent we look to the journey of Jesus towards Jerusalem through the lens of the Exodus and as a movement from slavery to freedom.
Throughout the scriptures we are reminded that we are constantly walking in a battlefield. It is not a casual stroll through the flowers, but a journey that demands our attention and focus. Psalm 27 shows us what this warrior heart looks like.
