Looking Back on a Life That Didn't Happen

Steven takes Seymour back in time to a new history of his own invention.  Hear why he was arrested by the tortoise police and how he built a new high speed road between Newcastle and London with just a rake and some ladders.  Experience his fake moustache journey through South America and friendship with Pele, his fistfights with meercats and the reasons why Cardiff was moved from its original spot to its new location in Wales.  No guest ever hears the questions in advance.  Trigger warning - this episode is perhaps our most bonkers yet. Many thanks to the fabulous Skibka Music on Freesound for the use of their hip hop loop.

It's the first episode of Seymour Mace's Pode Caste (He's added an E to make it fancy) where he discusses DC superheroes because he's got a big dictionary from the 80s with all of them in. There'll be guest hosts and tangents and loads of swearing so if you don't like swearing or the things it is about or anything then listen to something else or nothing. This was first released a week ago at patreon.com/feltnowt where you can get bonus stuff now where he talks about dog's cocks.

EPISODE 11: Recording two podcast episodes a week takes its toll as J & Ben really loose the plot and start going off on tangents here there and everywhere. Recorded this week from the queue outside a Botherforks pub. Mice feature heavily this week and other topics cover gambling donkeys, Kylie's hat in a cinema, and the Corona Sutra. Discussions with this week's special guest Seymour Mace are around Tarantino style dreams, frozen milk and life modelling. The lads play another quick fire game of Lush, Shan, Divvent Na and Seymour chooses the Story of the Week. The episode that coined the phrase 'Eeyore Fish BangBangBang'. Get in touch with the show jason@10things.uk or ben@10things.uk

SEYMOUR MACE is a legend of the UK standup circuit and Edinburgh Fringe. Hugely admired amongst his peers, Seymour is renowned for his brilliantly offbeat routines and flights of fancy. He has won a tonne of awards and was nominated for the Fosters Comedy Prize in 2015.  It was an honour to speak to him in what was an extremely open and honest conversation covering his latest show, his depression, quitting the comedy circuit, heading to University and his plans for the future.  Seymour Mace is My Name Climb Up My Nose and Sit in My Brain: Join me inside my own head for an all-singing, all-dancing exploration of my f*cked-up brain. I'm going in sane, will I come out insane? All I know is it'll be proper funny alternative comedy, not some mediocre bag of shite mainstream middle-class virtue signalling pile of wank... Anyway, come, don't come, I'm past caring. 'As if the conjoined souls of Vic and Bob have been poured into the body of a tattooed Eric Morecambe' **** (Scotsman). ***** (Times). ***** (One4Review.co.uk).  TICKETS: https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/seymour-mace-is-my-name-climb-up-my-nose-and-sit-in-my-brain  TWITTER: https://twitter.com/seymourmace  *NOTE FOR LISTENERS: The sound is not the greatest! Things were really muffled at Seymour’s end of the line. I’ve done my best to clean it up, but as this is such a raw and frank chat I decided it should go out still. You might need to tinker with the volume whilst you listen but I think it’s worth it. When I’ve got some money to up the production quality I will get this remastered! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/pullbackreveal/message

Every day of the Edinburgh Fringe I (Lee Kyle, sexy comedian) will be doing an episode of this stupid podcast, The Oxbridge Entrance Exam, where I interview a comedian in the guise of a weakly drawn caricature of a stuffy old professor and see if they get invited into Britain's top learning establishment. It's based on a stupid book I found about it once. The questions are ridiculous. Seymour Mace is on this one, he is mad but not like "What the fuck?!?" more brilliant and that. I asked someone else for that description by the way, I feel like I could have done better. Listen to this and go and see him, he's taller than you'd think.

It's the end, my friends and someone is set to win half a bottle of olive oil, some Weetabix and the monarchy of Edinburgh. And we've saved the best till last as Count Buckules is here to tell us about the times he has said inappropriate things on 6Music, how his computer cable must be placed 'just so', a trip to New Zealand with a ventriloquist, what a cock bongo would involve and what it would take for him to fellate Keith Allen. Rich is remarkably indiscreet as always, spreading possibly libellous rumours about certain celebrities and revealing the genesis of a famous Stewart Lee sketch and a classic bit of Alan Partridge. And Seymour Mace is also here to give his controversial views on evolution. Thanks to everyone at The Stand and at The British Comedy Guide for their sterling work. Might we do it again next year? ... Surely not.
