The Podfather (The Guardian), reluctant 'King of Edinburgh' and two time and only Chortle Internet Award winner, brings his Edinburgh Fringe Podcast south for a more leisurely weekly show in which he chats with some of the biggest names in comedy, with guest spots from some of the hot new comics you…
Listeners of RHLSTP with Richard Herring that love the show mention: interview, hilarious, funny, great, love, become a monthly badger, richard herring.
The RHLSTP with Richard Herring podcast is not only a classic, but also the original and best when it comes to comedian-hosted interview shows. Richard Herring has been hosting this podcast for over a decade and has set the bar high for his guests and the hilarious Emergency Questions he asks them. The lineup of guests is truly impressive, ranging from national treasures like Bob Mortimer and Sir Michael Palin to comedy royalty like James Acaster and Katherine Ryan. Even showbiz A-listers like Harry Shearer and Brett Goldstein have graced the guest's chair on RHLSTP. It's hard to ask for more when it comes to the quality of guests on this podcast.
In terms of standout episodes, some of the best have been with people I've never even heard of before. This goes to show that it's worth giving every episode a listen, even if you're unfamiliar with the guest's name. You might just find some absolute gems that you would have otherwise missed out on.
However, there are a few aspects of this podcast that could be improved upon. Sometimes, due to the sheer volume of content Richard Herring provides, there can be varying quality from episode to episode. However, if you stick with it, you'll be rewarded with hilarious moments, general silliness, occasional genius, and enlightening revelations. Additionally, while Richard consistently gets great guests who are always great value, there may be an underlying tone of sorrow in his fake enthusiasm during adverts. It sometimes feels as though he doesn't really want to do them but has resigned himself to the fact that he needs to.
In conclusion, The RHLSTP with Richard Herring podcast is a superb show filled with great guests and comedic brilliance from one of the hardest working comics out there. While there may be some minor flaws here and there, overall it delivers consistent excellence and is definitely worth a listen for any comedy fan. Here's to many more healthy seasons of this hilarious and entertaining podcast.

RHLSTP #622 - Cheesy Sisyphus - Rich is at the Podcast Room talking to some proper big TV/film stars, Charly Clive and Ellen Robertson. They talk about why the Hell they are returning to the Fringe to do a sketch show, their enduring friendship and how that informs their work together, Charly's brain tumour and why she called it Britney and why that led to them both being called Britney, clouds in film studios, judging pizza with Steve Carrell, living another life in a coma and why Richard would only be a very specialist interest on wikifeet.See their Fringe sketch show - https://www.edfringe.com/tickets/whats-on/britney-holy-mackerelSee their Fringe play https://www.edfringe.com/tickets/whats-on/jittersSee RHLSTP at the Fringe/London http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Recorded at the Podcast RoomThanks to Chris Evans (NTO) and Ben Walker Hosted on Acast. Ed Fringe 2011 #14 - The Oxfam of Comedy - What's that unusual atmosphere in the air today? Could it be genuine reverence. Rich is joined by one of his absolute comedy heroes, Barry Cryer and is trying to be on his best behaviour. Barry's butterfly brain means he has a story about everyone and everything that gets mentioned from Nicholas Parsons to Stewart Lee and Jack Benny to Richard Pryor. He also comes up with the best answer yet to the Keith Allen Question (as it is known in parliament). So just sit back and listen to a comedy legend (which is pretty much that all Rich does in this episode) and find out who's really the king of Edinburgh. Rich has also just been offered an advert where he'd have to live in a perspex box for three days (he may not take it). RHLSTP Book Club #191 - Middle Aged Women Get Sh*t Done - Richard is at the Podcast Room chatting to friend and comedian Lucy Porter about her fun and fascinating book, Middle Aged Women Get Shit Done. Is it just for women or should men read it too? Should it be pulped because of what it says about Scrabble? What does it mean to be a Linda? Would the NHS collapse without middle-aged women? What about the middle-aged men? Plus some chat about quizzing and whether Rich is the best at Mastermind.Buy the book here https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/middle-aged-women-get-sh-t-done-a-manifesto-or-a-cry-for-help-lucy-porter/e627fe5b294dcdeb?ean=9781035441570See Lucy at the Fringe https://www.edfringe.com/tickets/whats-on/lucy-porter-the-name-of-the-games-wipSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO)Recorded at the Podcast Room Hosted on Acast. RHLSTP #621 - Cyberman Having a Fag - It's another remote RHLSTP and Rich is talking to writer, artist and stand up Tom Neenan. They chat about building a Dalek in your house, Tom's fantastic art and Rich's less impressive pottery and why it's good for comedians to use the other side of their brain sometimes, the Spitting Image “Is Nothing Sacred?” Video insert booklet, whether Rich personally knows the Naked Man and Naked Woman from the Fist of Fun cash in book, why men are so rubbish (not all men) and Tom's attempt to do ventriloquism with no puppet, because they're too expensive if your great-grandad hasn't made you one.See Tom in Edinburgh https://www.edfringe.com/tickets/whats-on/tom-neenan-portrait-of-a-tom-as-a-young-neenanSee RHLSTP in Edinburgh http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO) and Ben Walker Hosted on Acast. Come Closer To The ScreenWe're on the road still and at the Lowry in Salford where the lightest local headline is not really ripe for frivolity, but at least they are paying fitting tribute to their greatest painter. And it's possible that the theatre is literally on fire, but Richard is not letting that stop him. The guest tonight is showbiz legend and punster extraordinaire, Jimmy Cricket and something that the RHLSTP audience might not be used to, proper jokes. But amongst the silliness, Jimmy reveals some fabulous stories about the days of the working men's clubs, the summer camps or Ireland, Laurel and Hardy's last tour, working with the Honey Monster, being a Papal Knight and why he still has the hunger for treading the boards in his wellies. There's more, how his This is Your Life almost got derailed by a chance meeting and a letter from his Mamie. To buy Jimmy's DVD or find out about his live dates or performances of his play check out his website - https://www.jimmycricket.co.uk/It's a heart-warming, corny and hilarious hour of chat. Ed Fringe 2019 #21 - Nine Minutes - Rich has just hit the 200 average crowd he coveted and worked out just how much his landlord has made from each ticket sold and there's an end of term atmosphere as he meets Flo and Joan and John Kearns. With Flo and Joan the talk revolves around time travelling gang bangs, Bros' Cheddar antics, double act rivalry and memories of Tring. With John, Richard is skittish from lack of sleep and counting down the time, but still manages to find out whether a plastic cup can substitute for false teeth and how the speaker of the House of Commons takes a shit. Plus a revival of a plan to quell sex offenders. Thursday 30th July 2026 - Sweet Perineum - Rich and Ally are back with more news that you won't hear anyone else, all squished into a five minute bulletin. Today they are looking at the wildfires sweeping in the world and wondering if they could be anything to do with global warming. Plus a very disturbing report from France or maybe Spain where the fires are going on (though that's not what is disturbing). Plus a surprise visit. Keep watching til the end.Friday July 31st 2026 - Egg Head - Second Newsround of the week - oh ambassador with these Newsrounds we are really spoiling you. Today we look at something the Lamestream media won't touch, because they are in the pay of the billionaires, corruption in FIFA or UEFA, whichever one it is. With the interview that everyone wants. RHLSTP Book Club 190 - The Umbrella Man and Other Stories - Another remote Book Club where Rich talks to author Martin Fitzgerald about his book about the JFK assassination, which looks at everything from a very different perspective by examining the witnesses and not worrying about whodunnit. Was the Umbrella Man really signalling to all the assassins that it was time to shoot (and wouldn't that be a bit of a distraction rather than a help)? What was it that attracted these people to the relatively quiet part of the route in Dealey Plaza rather than the ticker tape of Main Street? Is it possible to understand the amateurish nature of the detective work from a 21st Century perspective? Why did some witnesses hog the limelight whilst others disappeared immediately and did some people insert themselves into the story who weren't there? How did the racism endemic in Dallas at the time affect the responses of the African- American witnesses? What effect did the assassination have on Dallas as a whole? And how easy is it to be a reliable witness or a truly impartial judge of what happened? It's a terrific book and a really interesting approach to the event and I thoroughly recommend it.Buy the book here - https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/the-umbrella-man-and-other-stories-what-we-talk-about-when-we-talk-about-the-jfk-assassination-martin-fitzgerald/80bddf3b35dec416SUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO) Hosted on Acast. RHLSTP #620 - Greggs Chicken Bake - Rich is doing a few remote podcasts again due to a medical condition, so tonight we're going to party like it's 2020. He is chatting to character comedian and writer Rosalie Minnitt who is about to do her second hour about her Fringe breakout success Clementine. They chat about how she Peter Kayed her student play, her itinerant childhood, the genesis of her crazy Jane Austen influenced stage persona and how it sometimes surprises here with how far it goes, how men brought up to play stooges all think Rosalie might genuinely be into them and what happened when she actually went on a date with one of them, working with Alan Partridge and the difficulty of finding new subjects for Horrible Histories.Tickets for Rosalie's Edinburgh show here https://www.pleasance.co.uk/event/rosalie-minnitt-clementine-2Tickets for RHLSTP at the Ed Fringe here http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO) and Ben Walker Hosted on Acast. #443 Blew Peter - Richard has not drunk alcohol for 27 months, but should he go back to his drunken (and more amusing ways). As is now traditional his final guest of the series is a member of the Ellis family, it's the brilliant Janet Ellis. They discuss day time drinking with John Thaw and Dennis Waterman, the irritatingly slow speed of K9 from Doctor Who and the embarrassing googlewhack that happened when Richard searched for his favourite episode of Jigsaw. Plus the sinister presence of Noseybonk, the health and safety nightmare of 1980s Blue Peter, being a nepo mum and what prompted her to become a novelist and the potential awkwardness of reading the steamier bits for the audiobook.Come and see RHLSTP live - all dates and confirmed guests here http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPE Hosted on Acast. Deam Me Up, Scotty - Rich and Ally are back, if only briefly, for more news that the lamestream media ignores. RHLSTP Book Club #189 - Running Through Sand - Richard chats remotely with stand up and extreme runner Paul Tonkinson about his attempt to complete the 250km Marathon des Sable through (a little bit of) the Sahara desert. They chat about what drives someone to do such an insane thing, midlife crises, how men don't talk enough about getting older, working with Michael McIntyre, the wisdom that comes with experience and whether anyone should listen to you, writing a book that is partly about writing the book and having hallucinations in the desert.Buy the book here - https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/running-through-sand-an-ageing-comedian-s-ill-thought-out-ultra-in-the-sahara-paul-tonkinson/7f395e6f5eac21c8SUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO) Hosted on Acast. They chat about working with the delightful Amy Gledhill, the relentless process of writing Saturday Night Live and how it might not live up to the coke-fuelled ego-fest of the original American series, Chris' new stand up show Rewilding, which centres around the appalling act of vandalism at the Sycamore Gap, why he likes performing at lunchtime and why the Fringe has never been the booze-fuelled holiday that it was for Rich in the 1990s. #543 House of Losers - Richard has had a worrying dream, but what can it all mean? His guest is an alien from outer space and not a man in an impressive but ridiculous costume, the artist formerly known as Lord Buckethead, Count Binface. They discuss his reasons for travelling light years to take on sitting Prime Ministers in UK elections, some of his excellent policies involving hand dryers and Ceefax, whether snooker is already in 3 dimensions, losing a bind, whether old people should lose the vote, improving the House of Lords and how the UK's future span out of control due to the Olympic opening ceremony and a bacon sandwich. RHLSTP Book Club #188 - The Secrets of Our DNA - Richard has a remote chat with Professor of Genetics and archaeologist Turi King about her fantastic book encompassing the many advances in our understanding of DNA, a surprising number of which overlap with Richard's interests. Find out how Cheddar Man is not as related to Richard's history teacher as Somerset likes to claim, how some of Richard III's bones ended up in York (for a little while at least), whether Hitler actually had one ball and whether DNA can tell us how big historical figures genitals are (and if not, what's the point). His guest is Mock the Week favourite, Rhys James. They discuss the tallest building in Swindon, the worst place in Hertfordshire, writing right wing and left wing material on the same subject, what Richard said about Rhys when he saw him in a new act competition, the enduring problem of the last packet of crisps falling into a volcano, whether it's better to have one ball or one kidney, wearing a tuxedo on Pointless, why people might think Rhys is deaf and more sad tales of romantic embarrassment.Come and see us live http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPE Hosted on Acast. RHLSTP Book Club #187 - Neurodivergent Moments - Richard chats to Joe and Abigoliah about their book of humorous essays, Neurodivergent Moments. They discuss whether neurodivergence is an advantage as a comedian, why you can hate being in crowds, but love performing in front of crowds, how comedy remains the best way to educate people without them noticing, why this book is nonetheless primarily about making jokes rather than teaching lessons (but still does both jobs), what masking involves and why it is necessary, how risk taking can present itself in having loads of sex with strangers and why it's OK to make mistakes about this kind of stuff, as long as you're genuinely interested in learning about it.Here's all the places you can buy the book https://linktr.ee/ndm_bookSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO) Hosted on Acast. His guest is Rik-fan, musician and comedian (usually at the same time) Mitch Benn. They chat about the remarkable cast of the Edinburgh show “The Bootleg Bootleg Beatles” and their varying fortunes, what Rik meant to the kids back in the early 80s, how Mitch was secretly the most popular comedy character in the UK for several years and getting to play Zaphod Beeblebrox alongside the original radio cast. They chat about subverting expectations on SNL UK, how the exquisite Time of the Week came out of Lorna working on Women's Hour, winning the Edinburgh's Joke of the Fringe with a joke that wasn't even the best joke in the same minute of her show, being responsible for the death of comedy (according to the Sun), why it's good for comedy to be silly and it's important that female performers are allowed to be flawed and ridiculous and why a man with a bad sink joke ruined Rich's career.SUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO) and Ben WalkerRecorded at the Podcast Room Hosted on Acast. #439 Cucumber Coward - Richard is hoping to replace himself with an AI host and has left the emergency questions and some of the stand up to the robots. His guest, returning after a hiatus of just 400 episodes is the wonderful Mark Gatiss. They discuss the unfair tale of Jacob Marley, the influence of Robin Askwith, playing to camera 3 as Larry Grayson, Mark's many theatre projects, working with Anthony Hopkins after portraying him in TMWRNJ and directing Reece Shearsmith. Monday 15th June 2026 - V-Maxxing - Rich and Ally are back, though for Rich, maybe not for long, as Ally blurts out what he's going through this week. Ever the pro, Rich pushes onwards despite attempts to make the whole show nothing but same phrases to discuss the controversial topic of Vagina-maxing. Is this the right medium to discuss this? Yes it is. Remember, Rich thinks whatever you think about this and is very much on your side. Unless you're one of the dead-eyed people doing the operations.Get a tshirt here (if you are quick) - https://gofasterstripe.com/ally Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RHLSTP Book Club #184 - Get Ahead of Being Dead - Rich catches up with Evie King (if that is her real name) to talk about her unique job and the books she has written about it and why we need to get prepped for our own deaths. They chat about organising funerals for people who die with no one to do it for them (and how that could be you), whether it's necessary for her to work as hard as she does on this, how you need a strong stomach for her job, but also why you need to write down all your details and funereal wishes, why you can't have a Viking funeral, but can be buried in your own garden, why you're a tricky to burn bag of fluid, why dying shouldn't be so taboo and thing you can do to liven up your funeral. A very positive book and chat about a subject that people don't like to talk about.Buy the book here - https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/get-ahead-of-being-dead-your-handy-planner-for-the-end-of-life-evie-king/3ac88527cbfebe4fSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO)Recorded at the Podcast Room Hosted on Acast. RHLSTP #614 - You're Already Grown Up - Rich talks to musical genius, actor and comedian Tim Minchin. They discuss the possibility of a reboot of another kids' classic and Tim's possible involvement in it, how Ernie Herring responded to Matilda, the technical changes made to the film version of the musical, the gentle pivot into more serious songs, what the devil is up to and the incredible sacrifice of Judas, Richard's favourite ever guest and why Rich shouldn't judge his colleagues too harshly, some Shrek based content and a promise from Tim to compete the circle, how silence can be golden in comedy and creative wonderful art and return for the final episode of RHLSTP (as he was the first ever guest). #437 Adelaide Clowns - Richard has had a wonderful Saturday night without his wife doing what most men can only dream of. His guest is ubiquitous comedy actor and extremely good guy, Kiell Smith-Bynoe. They talk about the best acting job in the world, appearing on Death in Paradise, with some insights into what goes on off camera, getting intimate with an ex-Doctor Who assistant on the ace new series Dreamland, searching for real ghosts on the set of Ghosts, rating the catering on different TV shows, making too many omelettes and a rare career mis-step in Australian theatre. Plus the most considered answer to the human centipede question yet, a few hints about the new series of Taskmaster and find out who is the most objectionable cast member on Ghosts.Come and see us live http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPE Hosted on Acast. Tuesday 9th June 2026 - Milked in a Basement - Rich has been too busy or tired to do Newsround for a few days and to be honest probably should have given it a miss today. But news doesn't wait for someone to be in the mood to tell you what the news is and luckily one person on this show can enunciate. The boys are talking about creating sperm in a lab and what that might mean for humanity. It's an all time classic. Thank you Moriarty.Wednesday 10th June 2026- Scooby DUMB - Rich is a bit less tired than yesterday, but still quite tired and he can't believe that he is having his childhood destroyed. Just leave things the way they are. When they were good. When I was young. Plus big news about Prince Harry.Thursday 11th June 2026 - Blue Anchor - Rich and Ally are a bit put out to find out they are not the most popular thing in the show, but they plough on regardless, looking into the case of the mysterious cider drinking mannequin in Minehead. What really happened? The lamestream media won't tell you, but we will.Friday 12th June 2026 - Sodomised Gargoyles - It's the last Newsround of the week and a weary Richard Herring talks us through not one, not two, but three big news stories, travelling the world from Russia/Ukraine to Spain and then right out into outer space and unknowable time. You don't get that on the grown-up news. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RHLSTP Book Club #183 - Bad Deeds - Richard talks to novelist and former QI Elf Andrew Hunter Murray about his funny page-turner Bad Deeds. They chat about him no longer being like John Wyndham, how to break into BAFTA, how Richard broke into Buckingham Palace and the much repeated truth about what Michael Fagan got up to in the Queen's bedroom, giving up on a novel after 30,000 words, planning plots, writing in Costa, the parallels with this book and the brilliant London Falling and why breaking into posh houses is acceptable behaviour.Buy the book here - https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/bad-deeds-andrew-hunter-murray/8ac69edc4570ebc2SUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO)Recorded at the Podcast Room Hosted on Acast. RHLSTP #613 - Predicting the Future with Urine - Richard is at the Podcast Room with the one-of-a-kind diamond that is Ronni Ancona. They chat about the disappointments of the Blue Peter studio, performing together at the Edinburgh Fringe 1992, how Ronni`s unlikely professional partnership with Alistair McGowan bore fruit, even after their romantic relationship had ended, having a part especially written for her on Eastenders, working with the amazing John Sessions, failing to impress her kids with her social media successes and producing movies with Sally Phillips.SUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO) and Ben WalkerRecorded at the Podcast Room Hosted on Acast. #436 Too Much Farage Piss - Rich is mourning the Veneziana pizzas that he bought and the terrible effects they have wrought and the loss of a man whose friend assumed he was joking. His guest is historian, comedian and puppeteer, Al Murray. They talk about the evolution of the new Spitting Image live show and, hosting a chat show with proper famous guests, the toll of touring in your 50s and Al's first proper serious history book Command, including the impact that VD had on the British fighting forces. Plus why being a conformist in real life allows non-conformity on stageBuy Al's book here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Command-Allies-Learned-Second-World/dp/B09V6HP2YR/Come and see us live http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPE Hosted on Acast. Monday 1st June 2026 - Cloaca Room - Rich and Ally are back for another month and today they are reporting on a story that you won't find in the lame stream media (unless you read the Guardian), the onanistic habits of birds. There is a lot of prejudice against wanking birds and we hope to do our bit to stop that. So do spread the important message of today's report. It's OK for birds to get off on themselves.Tuesday June 2nd 2026 - Question Time - Rich and Ally cover another story that the elitist BBC wouldn't cover, what are the unanswered questions in the Mandleson Files? And how many are there? There are more questions than answers, but not if you include wrong answers.Thursday June 4th 2026 - Yvonne Boolabong - Ally tries his hand at some ventriloquism in this last episode of the week, due to a rare performance commitment, but eventually there is some bloody news and it's all about the return of an unpopular, unfunny 1990s comedy figure. Surely Richard isn't so self-obsessed to make all this about him? Come and see him live (while you still can) http://richardherring.com/gigs Hosted on Acast. RHLSTP Book Club #182 - The Last Pebble - Richard is in the Podcast Room with Taskmaster genius Alex Horne to talk about his kids' book The Last Pebble. How did he find time to write a book? Was he worried about looking like another celebrity cashing in? Is it OK to take pebbles from the beach. Plus how the book changed with the help of an editor and could have been about a talking stone, the incredible life cycle of pebbles and how every book is a bit like a pebble in the ocean. Plus lots of chat about the future of Taskmaster, whether Richard is Everton, the amazing 24 hours of How Long Has This Been Going On? And whether Rich is prepared to take over from Greg Davies.Buy the book here - https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/the-last-pebble-a-heartwarming-middle-grade-fiction-story-about-a-boy-his-grandad-and-a-mystery-for-boys-and-girls-age-9-10-11-12-by-comedian/2276ea2fa88fe3a6SUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO)Recorded at the Podcast Room Hosted on Acast. RHLSTP #612 - A Special Place in Hell - Rich has an apology to make regarding bird genitals. His guest is RHLSTP favourite David Mitchell. There's lots of rarely if ever asked emergency questions and chat about John Kearns' eight stone rabbit, a joke about Ludwig that one listener will enjoy, returning to sketch shows and whether this might see the return of another nineties double act, what it's like to work on Rick and Morty (if you don't know anything about it), the easiest audiobook job of all time, some chat about what the Hell Satan is up to and a new take on It's a Knockout. It's a delight as you can imagine, but which person would Richard bring back from the dead? #432 Womblin' Free - Richard has had a crisp and a field disappointment, but it won't stop him interviewing the heck out of director, writer and omelette chef, Joe Cornish. They talk about offending Claudia Winkleman's listeners, how Channel 4 messed up a sketch show with an incredible cast, (briefly) having the number one Netflix show (check out Lockwood and Co), whether being a director is all it's cracked up to be, how losing a Fiat Punto led to Attack The Block, working with a Young One and whether ageing is something to fear. Plus the surprise of finding out that someone who has died was still alive and a bizarre synchronicity on the song with the best intro. And Rich lands himself another acting job, as long as he fulfils one condition.Come and see us live http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPE Hosted on Acast. It's absolutely pathetic.Friday 29th May 2026 - Ulterior Mammoth - Rich and Ally are back for the second and last Newsround of the week and it's all about bringing back the Mammoth and why anyone would want to do that.
