Hello! Welcome back to What's The Story? Hash Brown Glory! With your hosts, Tom Bower and Lee Harding of The Rustic Kitchen & Deli! It's been a while since our last episode…We do have an excuse.Way back in 2025, RKD suffered a disastrous fire that destroyed a lot of the building, we were closed for months, but, we're now back up and running and we're delighted to welcome back the firefighters that attended! We wanted to do something to show our gratitude, so we did the thing we do best. We created a dish. After learning what their go to foods are, we created the THREE ZERO PAPA ONE. A stunning medley of poached eggs, roasted chorizo, toasted sourdough, Aleppo pepper flakes, avocado, spinach and cherry tomatoes with £2 from every dish going towards the firefighters charity. So, this week we hosted the firefighters that helped save Rustic for a breakfast they'll never forget, their very own THREE ZERO PAPA ONE. A few even got behind the mics and cameras and joined us to talk about how it went down when they got the call about RKD.We also have news!We entered into the Pie Awards and we won...well you'll have to find out what we won by listening to the episode! As ever, thank you for listening. You can find out more about the firefighters charity by heading here:https://www.firefighterscharity.org.ukYou can find RKD here:https://rustickitchendeli.comAnd as ever, thank you so much for tuning in!Tom and Lee x

In this episode, Alan Dunne speaks with Aoifinn Devitt about what it really means to build resilient portfolios in a world of shifting regimes and competing narratives. Drawing on experience across pensions, hedge fund advisory, and private wealth, Aoifinn reflects on how institutional lessons translate to individual investors. The conversation explores the role of diversification, the evolving case for private markets, and the limitations of labels such as hedge funds, factors, or alternative assets. Along the way, they discuss the behavioral traps that influence allocators, the challenges of manager selection, and why outcome based investing may offer a clearer framework for navigating uncertain markets.-----50 YEARS OF TREND FOLLOWING BOOK AND BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIDEO FOR ACCREDITED INVESTORS - CLICK HERE-----Follow Niels on Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube or via the TTU website.IT's TRUE ? – most CIO's read 50+ books each year – get your FREE copy of the Ultimate Guide to the Best Investment Books ever written here. And you can get a free copy of my latest book “Ten Reasons to Add Trend Following to Your Portfolio” here.Learn more about the Trend Barometer here.Send your questions to info@toptradersunplugged.comAnd please share this episode with a like-minded friend and leave an honest Rating & Review on iTunes or Spotify so more people can discover the podcast.Follow Alan on Twitter.Follow Aoifinn on LinkedIn.Episode TimeStamps: 02:16 - Introducing Aoifinn Devitt and her background03:14 - From corporate law to a career in finance05:16 - Institutional vs private wealth portfolio construction09:47 - How macro regimes influence asset allocation12:53 - Rethinking the endowment model and private markets15:32 - Private credit and diversification challenges18:13 - Total portfolio approach vs traditional allocation21:27 - Bonds, equities, and changing correlations27:52 - Concentration risk and the dominance of mega cap stocks37:33 - The evolving role of hedge funds in portfolios42:35 - Gold, commodities, and inflation protection46:23 - Behavioral biases and long term market cycles57:35 - Advice for young professionals entering financeCopyright © 2025 – CMC AG – All Rights Reserved----PLUS: Whenever you're ready... here are 3 ways I can help you in your investment Journey:1. eBooks that cover key topics that you need to know about In my eBooks, I put together some key discoveries and things I have learnt during the more than 3 decades I have worked in the Trend Following industry, which I hope you will find useful. EVEN MORE about this episode! Are sensitive children, ADHD, and autism signs of something deeper—like spiritual awakening or New Earth souls?Join Julie Ryan and intuitive healer Sherri Divband as they explore Indigo and Crystal children, conscious parenting, spiritual gifts in kids, and the evolution of human consciousness. Sherri shares her extraordinary journey from childhood trauma and survival to working with animals at the National Zoo, and ultimately receiving guidance from her unborn daughter about a revolutionary new model of education.Together, they explore the waves of Indigo, Crystal, Rainbow, Star, and Divine children, why so many struggle in traditional school systems, and how sensitivities to food, toxins, and overstimulation may reflect energetic awareness rather than dysfunction. Sherri explains how each generation is evolving to hold more light and why many children diagnosed with ADHD or autism may actually be experiencing spiritual activation in a world not designed to support them. The conversation expands into a bold vision for conscious education through The Aramis Collective and its Creative Learning Centers—spaces centered on wellness, frequency healing, project-based exploration, and connection with animals. From children remembering past lives to those perceiving energy fields, this episode invites parents, educators, and seekers to reconsider what's truly unfolding. If you've ever felt there's more to the next generation than meets the eye, this powerful discussion will inspire hope, clarity, and a new perspective on humanity's awakening.Guest Biography:Sherri Divband is an Intuitive Transformational Energy Healer, author of Intuitive Transformation Evolution, Divinely Guided, and the children's series Divinely Guided Children. After nearly 20 years as a registered veterinary technician working in surgery, intensive care, and at the zoo, Sherri followed her lifelong connection to animals into Reiki and energy healing—an awakening that ultimately led her to work with people on a quantum, multidimensional level. Today, she offers soul readings, energetic clearings, spiritual coaching, and mentorship to clients worldwide, empowering individuals to access their innate healing abilities and higher states of consciousness. In recent years, she has focused on guiding New Earth children and supporting parents in nurturing spiritually gifted kids, and in 2022 she founded The Aramis Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to creating conscious learning centers and expansive educational resources for children around the globe.Episode Chapters:(0:00:00) - Understanding New Earth Children(0:06:20) - The Different Waves: Indigo, Crystal, Star, Rainbow, and Divine(0:24:51) - Star Seeds and Soul Origins(0:43:13) - Sherri's Journey: From Trauma to Purpose(0:55:51) - Reimagining Education: The Aramis Vision(1:06:20) - Real Stories: How Gifted Children Transform Families➡️Subscribe to Ask Julie Ryan YouTube➡️Julie's Intuitive Trainings✏️Ask Julie a Question!

Cem Karsan sits down with Neil Howe to examine what a true regime shift means for markets and society. Howe argues that we are deep into a Fourth Turning, a generational winter that historically brings institutional fracture, geopolitical strain, and inflation that reshapes debts, assets, and political power. Cem ties that arc to today's realities: the exhaustion of the 40 year tailwind from falling rates, record valuations meeting refinancing risk, and the uncomfortable truth that 60/40 has failed for long stretches before. They explore the growing divide between capital and labor, the pivot from globalization to industrial policy, and the rising appeal of commodities, cash, and convex hedges in a world where outcomes are less linear. Howe also details how his Fourth Turning ETF reflects that view, pairing thematic equities with real assets and disciplined tail protection. This is a conversation about preparing, not predicting, when history starts to rhyme a little louder.-----50 YEARS OF TREND FOLLOWING BOOK AND BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIDEO FOR ACCREDITED INVESTORS - CLICK HERE-----Follow Niels on Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube or via the TTU website.IT's TRUE ? – most CIO's read 50+ books each year – get your FREE copy of the Ultimate Guide to the Best Investment Books ever written here. And you can get a free copy of my latest book “Ten Reasons to Add Trend Following to Your Portfolio” here.Learn more about the Trend Barometer here.Send your questions to info@toptradersunplugged.comAnd please share this episode with a like-minded friend and leave an honest Rating & Review on iTunes or Spotify so more people can discover the podcast.Follow Cem on Twitter.Episode TimeStamps: 01:28 - Introducing Neil Howe and why this conversation matters now03:37 - What the Fourth Turning is and how the cycle works10:26 - “The Fourth Turning Is Here” and the practical question: what do we do?16:42 - Rates, inequality, and why the last 40 years may not repeat20:17 - Inflation as a crisis tool, not a forecasting error26:43 - Options, convexity, and non-linear portfolios in regime change33:31 - The surge into “non-correlated” assets and what it signals39:39 - Market closures, devaluation, and the limits of buy-the-dip history45:28 - Commodities as a missing portfolio leg and the volatility debate48:12 - Howe's ETF framework: themes, commodities, cash, and tail hedges52:43 - Timing the crisis, geopolitics, and the authoritarianism questionCopyright © 2025 – CMC AG – All Rights Reserved----PLUS: Whenever you're ready... here are 3 ways I can help you in your investment Journey:1. eBooks that cover key topics that you need to know about In my eBooks, I put together some key discoveries and things I have learnt during the more than 3 decades I have worked in the Trend Following industry, which I hope you will find useful. EVEN MORE about this episode! Why do we ignore our intuition—even when the signs are obvious?Join Julie Ryan and intuitive channel Rhiannon Hines as they explore spiritual awakening, Akashic records, parallel lives, frequency, and how to trust your inner guidance. Rhiannon reveals the real reason we struggle to trust our inner guidance: following it forces us to confront fear, unworthiness, and the belief that we're not fully supported by the divine. The discussion takes a fascinating turn as Rhiannon describes reality as a holographic mirror—reflecting back the frequency we carry. Together, they explore the Akashic records as a field of infinite wisdom, challenge the illusion of linear time, and consider the idea that all lifetimes may be happening simultaneously. Rhiannon shares the powerful story of her mother's spiritual awakening and physical healing, a transformation that shifted her entire family's consciousness. You'll also walk away with practical tools for strengthening your intuition—starting with small daily choices and anchoring into the heart through breath instead of the analytical mind. From releasing the “prison” of the calendar to asking what your soul truly longs to experience, this episode invites you to remember who you really are—and why you came here. If you're ready to trust yourself at a deeper level, this conversation will open something profound within you.Guest Biography:Rhiannon Heins is an intuitive channel, bestselling author and energy-worker. Why does someone else's blessing feel like your loss?In this message, we step into Book of Genesis 4 and the story of Cain and Abel to uncover the roots of envy, resentment, and spiritual hypocrisy. Like the rivalry portrayed in Amadeus, we see how comparison can quietly harden into anger...and even accusation against God: “You haven't given me what I deserve.”But this story isn't just a warning. It's an invitation. The blood of Abel cried out for justice. Jesus' blood cries out for forgiveness. When we realize we haven't received what we deserve...but mercy instead...we're finally freed from envy and rage.If you've wrestled with comparison, bitterness, or disappointment with God, this message is for you.DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:1. What do you learn about God's character from Genesis 4?2. Where are you tempted to approach God like Cain instead of Abel?3. What “crouching” sin has God already warned you about? What is at your door right now? How does seeing Jesus as “The Greater Adam” shape the way you understand yourself? (Rom 5:6-21)4. How does knowing Christ's blood speaks a better word change how you handle guilt or shame?5. If you took 1 thing away from this study/reflection what would it be, why?+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL

In this episode, Alan Dunne and Cem Karsan explore a market that appears calm on the surface yet increasingly unstable underneath. As indices move sideways, they discuss how options flows and structured products are reshaping market behavior, driving rotation rather than direction. From the weakening of former leaders to the rise of defensives, the conversation turns to what these shifts may signal about a broader topping process. They also examine the growing influence of AI narratives, political incentives, and global tensions, not as isolated shocks but as forces building pressure within the system. The result is a discussion about how markets evolve when structure, policy, and sentiment begin to move out of sync.-----50 YEARS OF TREND FOLLOWING BOOK AND BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIDEO FOR ACCREDITED INVESTORS - CLICK HERE-----Follow Niels on Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube or via the TTU website.IT's TRUE ? – most CIO's read 50+ books each year – get your FREE copy of the Ultimate Guide to the Best Investment Books ever written here. And you can get a free copy of my latest book “Ten Reasons to Add Trend Following to Your Portfolio” here.Learn more about the Trend Barometer here.Send your questions to info@toptradersunplugged.comAnd please share this episode with a like-minded friend and leave an honest Rating & Review on iTunes or Spotify so more people can discover the podcast.Follow Alan on Twitter.Follow Cem on X.Episode TimeStamps:00:00 Intro to the Systematic Investor Series00:23 Performance check: CTAs strong, trend tailwinds03:13 Range-bound indices, but big dispersion and rotation03:45 Why options pin the index: dealer flows and vol compression05:42 Dispersion mechanics: idiosyncratic risk, falling correlation07:32 Rotation as a topping process: leaders fade, defensives rise09:54 OPEX and quarterly expiries: why timing windows matter11:56 The March support effect, then weaker flows into April17:02 AI narrative shock: anxiety, backlash, and policy consequences22:32 Populism versus deflation stories: why inflation returns32:43 Gold outlook: secular bull, but expect two-sided volatility45:45 Rates as “tectonic plates”: vol compressed now, release later50:23 Midterms, incentives, and the fight for control57:42 Liquidity loop: markets stop rising, collateral stops expandingCopyright © 2025 – CMC AG – All Rights Reserved----PLUS: Whenever you're ready... here are 3 ways I can help you in your investment Journey:1. eBooks that cover key topics that you need to know about In my eBooks, I put together some key discoveries and things I have learnt during the more than 3 decades I have worked in the Trend Following industry, which I hope you will find useful. In today's episode we talk to Mark Roberts, founder of Off Wall Street, a legendary provider of short selling research to hedge funds. Seven months before Enron became the biggest bankruptcy in US corporate history, Off Wall Street published a report recommending the shares be sold. The success of this call made Mark and Off Wall Street synonymous with original and rigorous research. We talk to Mark about his unusual personal background, how being a hippie in Berkeley in the 1960s prepared him for identifying overvalued companies two decades later. He explains why questionable accounting and high valuations are the “symptoms, not the disease” and compares today's markets with those of the Dotcom era. In this episode of Sober Awkward, Vic sits down with Recovery Jimmy from the After Hours podcast to ask a big question, does sobriety actually make you grow up?They swap stories of peak immaturity, from Vic's 25 year blur of zero self preservation, to Jimmy's wine fuelled, one way escape to Majorca after watching Into the Wild. What felt rebellious and “rock and roll” at the time now looks a lot like avoidance, selfishness, and being emotionally frozen at the age they started drinking.Together they unpack how booze can keep you stuck, convincing you that you're wild and fun, when really you're avoiding responsibility, feelings, and growth. They talk drinking culture, hating sober people in bars, and the slow realisation that maybe the “boring” friends were just maturing. It's honest, funny, and reflective, a reminder that growing up does not mean losing your sense of fun. It means finally caring about yourself enough to change.Find out more about Jimmy and his Podcast here - Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/recovery_jimmyTikTokhttps://www.tiktok.com/@recovery.jimmy?_r=1&_t=ZN-93qNaF7fVBeAfter Hours with Jimmy Thistle https://afterhours.buzzsprout.comAnd you can find all my other links at:https://linktr.ee/jimmythistle
