We speak of how our souls will never be fully satisfied on this earth, for God alone can satisfy the inner faculties of our spirit. And we compare this desire of God to the desire of the deer, running for water, according to Psalm 41.

This episode is a couple months delayed. Sorry. In this episode, Phoenix talks about the psychopath growing inside Chris, Nick having to kill a bunch of kids, Daniel losing his goddamn mind and the dangers of repeating plot points of The Walking Dead....I mean, we're finally off the boat but now we're on a farm where they keep zombies locked up in a shed. Sound familiar? At least nobody is pregnant. Unless you consider Chris being pregnant with insanity. Sooner or later the water will break and a newborn baby psychopath will be loose. Did that make sense? Oh well. www.LIWstudios.com

Talking Through Shiva The long wait is finally over! Shiva is the last episode of Fear the Walking Dead for a few months, and this will be our last episode for a little while as we take a small break from what has been a TWD juggernaut. We didn’t like this one We hope you won't be too disappointed with our episode. Shiva disappointed us. We tried to stay positive, but sometimes our disappointment in Shiva took over a little bit. This is also unusual for us because it's not very often when both of us feel the same way about an episode. Most of the time, one of us is able to talk the other off the proverbial ledge as to why an episode has been written and directed the way that it is. However, this time we both had to keep ourselves from being too negative. We are confused about the decisions that the network has been making, and we don't understand why so many of the characters did what they did. It also seemed especially disappointing considering how much we both loved the previous episode. However, many of you out there really enjoyed this episode, which made us very happy. This time, it was you guys who were able to talk us off the ledge. We didn’t like this one… At all I usually have more to say about the episode in my blog post. I've always been taught that when you don't have anything nice to say… In the interest of getting this episode out for your listening pleasure, I'm gonna keep it short. We so enjoy hearing from you all out there who are sticking with FTWD and sticking with our podcast. If this is the first time you've ever listened, please know that we really do like the show, and we hope we didn't deter you from either watching Fear or listening to us! Send in your feedback! As always, we really love getting your feedback! Even though we aren't going to record for a while (we're on a break!!), still send us your thoughts about FTWD and also for the last season of TWD. We have plans to do a couple of recap episodes, and we would love some overall thoughts for either show. For the next episode, Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 8, titled Grotesque, please send in your feedback by 6 PM Eastern/5 PM Central Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Ratings were down It’s the usual trend that ratings go up for a mid-season finale, but that did not happen this time around. Shiva got a 1.88 in the 18-49 demographic, with 4.388 million viewers, which is a series low. Last week, Sicut Cervus got a 1.94 in the 18-49 and 4.486 million viewers.

The safe haven the group was looking for may not be as safe as they think. Celia is hiding a dangerous secret that endangers them all. Sound farm-miliar? Chris, Daniel and Nick are going through their own transformations and not the good kind.
Talking Through Sicut Cervus Sicut Cervus is the penultimate episode of Season 2a of Fear the Walking Dead. Have I said that I love the word penultimate? We have one more episode before The Walking Dead Universe on television takes a break. That means you also won’t hear from us for a while. We’re taking a break! This may be sad news if you like listening to us prattle on. If you don’t… I’m so confused as to why you are here… We had fun talking about this episode once again. Things took a rather dark turn in this episode. We might be done with the Love Boat edition of TWD. A new direction? It seems like they might be headed in a new direction as our gang arrives in Baja and are greeted by something they did not expect. Strand discovers the tragic fate of Thomas, and I think it’s finally clear that it wasn’t a ruse or a con, Victor really did love him. We are also introduced to Celia, a formidable character with some rather strange beliefs about what is going on in the world, and what those things that look like people really are. Will she influence Nick to her way of thinking? Or will Nick realize that she really is crazy? A few things It seems to me that they got through the flotilla a little bit too easily, and it makes me wonder if that is something significant, or just a plot hole. I doubt the answer will ever be known to that one. I also think that the stress of this new world is beginning to take its toll, and perhaps most of our gang have let their guards down a little too easily when they arrive at the house in Baja. One of my favorite parts of the episode is when Thomas asks Victor if we like her when Madison is at the door. Strand is correct when he says she is fierce, but will she use that power for good, or evil? I think she needs to let her kids adapt to this new world and stop trying to hold them back by being overprotective. Also, was Alicia overreacting, or was Chris really threatening her? What was he doing in their room while they were sleeping with that knife? Send in your feedback! If you know the answers to any of these questions, please leave us your feedback and tell us! We are dying to know! For the mid-season finale, Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 7, titled Shiva, please leave your feedback by 6 PM Eastern/5 PM Central Tuesday, May 24, 2016. Ratings were a mixed bag Sicut Cervus got a 1.94 in the 18-49 demographic, with 4.486 million viewers, down from last week‘s 1.97 in the 18-49, but up from 4.414 million viewers. Fear the Walking Dead: A Podcast Quinn Warner, Stephen Payne, and Bruce R. Magee discuss this week's episode. Has our cast finally found a safe haven? At first, the village's in the church look like they're making do during the outbreak, but shortly after the service, they begin to bleed from their eyes and die. Thomas Abigail tries to intervene with the villagers, but he's interrupted by their sickness. We all liked this episode a lot. It had several interwoven subplots. Celia Flores, Thomas Abigail's housekeeper, is at the center of one. The villagers are about to attack her when they suddenly die, and it turns out that she poisoned the communion wafers. She also keeps walkers in the wine cellar and worships Santa Muerte. Another subplot centers on the death of Thomas Abigail, who had been bitten by a walker. Quinn notes that this is the first time Strand loses his cool, and it's clear that his feelings for Thomas are real. We wonder what he'll do next after the loss of his emotional center.Chris begins to spin out of control when he learns that the group doubts that he had to shoot the hostage last week. He escalates quickly, and we wonder whether he can recover. The relationship between Ofelia and her father Daniel continues to evolve. She was repelled by learning of his ruthlessness last season; this episode she sees him freeze & has to step in to save him. She's beginning to see his mortality and fragility, and her feeling toward him begin to thaw.

This week Anthony Lewis and Aurora Bubbaloo talk about Season 2 Episode 6 of Fear The Walking Dead “Sicut Cervus” including our thoughts on the episode, what we loved, what we didn’t, and give it our personal 1 out of 5!!!
You can run but can you hide from Celia's dangerous cooking? Fear the Walking Dead was really incredible this week. “Sicut Cervus” (S2 E6) was dramatic, lush and entrenched in some bizarre dynamics between the villagers and their unassuming and perhaps self-appointed matriarch. The name of this episode is based on the 42nd Psalm, also known as “Sicut Cervus” (“As a deer”). The parishioners never really stood a chance against killer grandmothers. Madison continues to assert herself and her domain over her family. Nick continues to be a post-apocalyptic golden boy, whereas Chris takes a turn for the worst -- as the world's worst psychopath that is. Seems that conditions are not much improved in Mexico. This episode demonstrates in more ways than one -- whether you're talking about Strand, Travis, Celia or the weaponized priest -- that love makes you do crazy things. Please rate, review and subscribe to this podcast. #feartwd

Of course we make it to Mexico, maybe a bit easily, but the introduction of Luis' mom, murder of the church congregation and death of Thomas were just a few of the other things that really made this episode of FTWD. Talking Through Captive Captive is the next episode in season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead and boy did we have a lot to say about this episode! We were kind of all over the place, but hopefully what we had to say made sense to most of you. What we didn't understand was why Connor's group expected Alicia to simply ditch her family and stick with them. What did they have to offer that was so great that would outweigh being with family? While it's true that not everyone is blessed with a great family or great family bonds, they had no idea if that was the case for Alicia. As Jack found out, Alicia would rather be with her family than them. A few more things… And now for a few more things about Captive that I didn't get to say or forgot to say, or wanted to say again. Not that it matters now, but at the time I was wondering how long Connor would be able to provide all of his people with a hot meal. I guess after this episode, the answer is not very long. Alicia mentions the laws of nature again in this episode. When we first see Travis, it appears that he is coming to. Apparently, he was knocked out at some point. Neither of us understood why Alex blamed Travis specifically. She didn't have any more interactions with him than Strand, but for some reason, she held him responsible for her plight. We were also unsure of the timeline of events because nothing seems to be matching up correctly. Hopefully, we will get more answers in the next two episodes! Send in your feedback! However, if you have answers, we would love to hear from you! If all you have are more questions but no answers, we would love to hear from you! Talking Through Captive Captive is the next episode in season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead and boy did we have a lot to say about this episode! We were kind of all over the place, but hopefully what we had to say made sense to most of you. What we didn’t understand was why Connor’s group expected Alicia to simply ditch her family and stick with them. What did they have to offer that was so great that would outweigh being with family? While it’s true that not everyone is blessed with a great family or great family bonds, they had no idea if that was the case for Alicia. As Jack found out, Alicia would rather be with her family than them. A few more things… And now for a few more things about Captive that I didn’t get to say or forgot to say, or wanted to say again.
