On today's episode, I talk to Eisner and GLAAD Award-winning comics writer Mark Russell. Born in Springfield, OR, Mark broke into professional writing with his book God Is Disappointed in You, a modern retelling of the Bible. This led to comics work writing Prez for DC in 2015 and a number of other comics in the last decade including The Flintstones, Exit, Stage Left!: The Snagglepuss Chronicles, Fantastic Four: Life Story, Superman: Space Age, Batman: Dark Age and many others. Most recently, Mark finished a run writing X-Factor for the first wave of post-Krakoa X-Men books and has a number of books on the horizon for publishers like Ahoy and Mad Cave! First, there were the Untouchables.  Then the Incredibles.  Later came the Expendables: 1, 2, 3 and 4.  (Apparently Stallone can't be involved in something without multiple sequels.) Dare we say the GOCA-bles?  Probably not.   Let's move on to the Regrettables and quit while we're behind.  This week Robbie is lost somewhere in Indiana, leaving Art and Jay to their own devices.  Having none, they go back to the well they like to call, “Jay's Regrettable Segment on Steroids.”  Or in another brilliant alliteration, “Regrettable Round-Up.” The League of Regrettable Superheroes book will shortly come to a close, and this episode will help The Guys skate/truck/thunder/or…legislate (?) towards a bittersweet end.  With two voted redeemable and two most definitely regrettable, prepare to be introduced for perhaps the first and last time to Prez, Skateman, U.S. 1, and Thunder Bunny.  You can't make this stuff up.  Yet somebody did.   In Geeks of the Week, Jay wonders when his podcast salary will reach Superman status, and Art reports that an upcoming series about Green may be a bit Blue.  Don't miss this colorful episode; pink ears, white booty shorts, and well, that's enough.

Today on Black Dragon Biker TV: MC Prez Doesn't Know MC Protocol

Felix Matos Rodriguez, Chancellor of the City University of New York, was hauled before Congress and grilled about alleged incidents of antisemitism at CUNY since October 2023. We hear from Jennifer Gabourey, the first vice president of the CUNY faculty union, to get their response to the House Education and the Workforce Committee's show trial and the broader attack on American universities being carried out by the Trump administration.

   On a day www.fox4kc.com reports that if the Royals leave it will be Mayor Q's fault, we learn that Frank White has blown it again for Jackson County.  If/when the Royals and Chiefs leave the sports complex, it will definitely be more of a Frank White problem than the mayor.  In a recent letter to the governor, White offers to cut off the Royals completely AND lower the money the Chiefs get from a 3/8 cent sales tax.   Between he two of them, it has to be over in Jackson County.    I met a friend yesterday, not a conservative, and we had a chatty waiter.  What happened when the waiter asked what I do for a living was an eye opening moment for the young man, if only he wanted to open his eyes.  I was literally talking to two people that will save $16,800 between them in federal taxes next year and don't believe it's true.    The Kansas economy is ranked third to the bottom of states in the country, the first lady is helping Trump with his Russia policy and Lambert Field in St. Louis had a waiting line out the door almost to I-70 yesterday.   In sports, the Big Dumper wins the home run derby, the Royals have the easiest schedule in the league the rest of the way and Fox Sports 1 fires almost everybody.  Then, our Final Final is buyer beware if you're trying to become an extra on the set of Ted Lasso filming in KC.

Na vojne som si dokonca urobil aj vodičák na prívesy.“Strojnícky preukaz a nezvyčajné zážitky „Keď sme sa rozprávali pred nahrávaním, spomenul si, že bager už dnes odišiel. Na takéto ťažké stroje teda papiere nemáš?“ pýtal som sa. „To nemám, tam treba strojnícky preukaz, ktorý si musíš pravidelne obnovovať,“ vysvetlil Martin. „No v mojom živote ma stretli všelijaké stroje a som mimoriadne pyšný na to, že som si niektoré mohol vyskúšať.“„Tak povedz, o čo išlo,“ vyzval som ho.„Asi najväčšia bomba bol parný rušeň Albatros, pretože som v ňom kúrila. Bol som členom posádky, ktorá ho obsluhovala, a ja som bol najatý kurič. Chceli, aby som sa ako hospodár z Farmy vozil na vláčiku, ale ja som si dal podmienku, že tam chcem kúriť, inak nejdem. Vyfasoval som montérky, lopatu a kúril som ako drak. Je faktom, že do tak veľkého rušňa sa nehádže všetko lopatou, ale tam sa prikladá parou. Keď už tam horí a poriadne to rozkúriš, tak takými parnými prieduchmi tam to uhlie strieľaš. Pod tlakom pary tam vrháš uhlie, ale vždy musíš niečo lopatou dohádzať ručne, takže celú cestu máš čo robiť. Namakáš sa ako kôň,“ dodal so smiechom.„Akú spotrebu má parný rušeň?“ zaujímalo ma.„Je to vykalkulované v hektolitroch vody a v tonách uhlia,“ objasnil.Od tanku po elektromobil na kolesách„Aký netradičný dopravný prostriedok si ešte šoféroval?“„Na vojne ma uchvátil tank T-72 a aj som ho šoféroval. Vodič tanku sedel vedľa mňa, dával mi inštrukcie a ja som ho obsluhoval a jazdil. A ešte som zažil jeden obrovský nakladač, ktorý mal riadiacu páku veľkú ako smerovka na Wartburgu, čiže bola veľmi malá. Pritom ten stroj bol taký obrovský, že keď sa prepravoval a nakladal sa na vagón, kabína sa musela dávať dole žeriavom. To bol najväčší kolesový nakladač v bývalom Československu. Bol poháňaný ako elektrická lokomotíva: motor vyrábal energiu, ktorá poháňala elektromotory, ktoré točili kolesami.“„Takže to bol akoby elektromobil?“„Áno, bol to elektromobil. Inak, naftové lokomotívy tak už roky fungujú, že majú trakčné motory. Agregáty, ktoré vyrábajú elektriku, a kolesá lokomotívy poháňajú elektrické motory,“ vysvetlil Martin.Netradičný prevoz husí a traktorové pneumatiky„Aké máš ty ako farmár skúsenosti s prevozom zvierat?“„Ja si, samozrejme, svoje zvieratá prevážam sám a najzaujímavejší je prevoz husí.
