What do we do when God's Word confronts us with something we don't want to hear?In Jeremiah 36, King Jehoiakim responds to God's warning by cutting up the scroll and throwing it into the fire. Rather than repent, he rejects the message. But burning the scroll didn't change the truth—it only intensified the consequences. In this message, we examine the danger of treating Scripture like the king did: cutting out the parts we dislike, ignoring difficult truths, and searching for voices that affirm our desires rather than challenge our hearts.God's Word was never meant to be comfortable—it was meant to transform us. The same Word that convicts also heals, restores, and equips us for faithful living.Put down the knife. Let the Word do its work.Key Theme: Fidelity and faithfulness to God's WordBig Idea: Burn the scroll, bear the consequences. Harsh words heal.Scriptures: Jeremiah 36, 2 Timothy 3:1–4:5, Hebrews 4:12-13, Revelation 22:18-19

Overview:Relationships built on fear damage everyone involved. Pastor Tyler, drawing from Ephesians 6, challenges both children and parents to transform their relationships by mirroring their connection with God. He explains that children are called to obey and honor their parents, not out of fear, but as an act of reverence for the Lord. Similarly, parents are urged to guide their children with love and instruction, avoiding actions that provoke anger.Discover how mutual submission, inspired by Christ's example, can lead to radical renewal and lasting blessings within your family. Learn to cultivate a home environment where love casts out fear, and every member thrives in their identity as a child of God.Discussion Questions:Icebreaker: Tyler shared a story about his daughter Kelly lying about eating chicken nuggets with a friend. Can you recall a time from your childhood when you either bent the truth or were caught doing something you weren't supposed to, and what was the outcome?Tyler emphasized that relationships based on fear hurt everyone involved. Thinking about your own experiences, what are some ways you've seen fear-based dynamics play out in family relationships, and what were the consequences? The sermon highlighted Ephesians 5:21, which calls us to "submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." What does "mutual submission" or "yielding" mean to you in the context of family relationships, and why is it so challenging to practice?Tyler explained that children are called to "obey" their parents (Ephesians 6:1), which he translated as "answering the door" not out of fear, but because God's way is better. For a moment of silent reflection, consider this passage:Romans 8:14-15 (NLT): "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him 'Abba, Father.'" How does understanding your identity as a child of God, rather than a fearful slave, change your perspective on obedience and submission in your relationships? The message distinguished between "obedience for a season" and "honor for a lifetime." What does honoring your parents (or other authority figures) look like for you today, especially if your relationship with them is complicated or challenging?Tyler challenged parents not to provoke their children to anger, but to guide them with a "shepherd's staff" rather than "cracking the whip." What practical steps can parents (or those in authority) take to lead with love and guidance, fostering trust rather than fear, in their homes or spheres of influence?Tyler concluded by reminding us that "more is caught than taught" and that parenting is "18 years of learning to let go." How might the gospel message of grace and perfect love be inviting you to release control, extend forgiveness, or model a more Christ-like approach in your family relationships this week?
Listen today as Pastor Tyler unpacks the kind of prayer that actually changes things—not “drive-by” prayers, but bold, persistent faith that asks, seeks, and knocks.

Welcome to Session 1 of School of Deliverance — a foundational teaching on the Kingdom of God, spiritual authority, and the ministry of deliverance through Jesus Christ. In this session, we lay the biblical foundation for understanding deliverance, exposing the works of darkness, and walking in the authority every believer has through Christ. This is not sensationalism or fear-driven ministry — this is about truth, freedom, holiness, and the power of the Gospel.Jesus did not just preach the Kingdom — He demonstrated it.“If I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has come unto you.” — Matthew 12:28In this teaching, we cover:

To the Ends of the Earth | Week 4 | What Do We Do With Disagreements? | Pastor Tyler Sollie | Life Center Tacoma SHARP WORDS don't have to write the FINAL WORD Acts 15:36-41 (CSB) The TENSION: Who is RIGHT? The REALITY: Jesus' MISSION will move FORWARD The HOPE: The story isn't OVER 2 Timothy 4:11 (CSB)
In a world of confusion and false voices, Pastor Tyler reminds believers that they are already known, forgiven, and strong in Christ. God's truth abides in them, helping them recognize deception and remain faithful. Through His anointing, they are kept in Him, so they may stand with confidence and know they have eternal life.Reflection Questions:1) Why do you think it's so easy for people (including Christians) to drift into distorted views of Jesus today?2) What are some ways culture or personal preference tries to subtly redefine truth for us, and how do you practically stay anchored in what is true about Jesus?3) Where do you tend to rely on your own strength instead of what God has already placed in you?
In our final sermon series, HUMAN, Pastor Tyler confronts us with an uncomfortable truth: we are all susceptible to deception, and our greatest enemy isn't the people around us but the spiritual forces working to steal our strength. Drawing from Ephesians 6:10-20, we're reminded that our struggle isn't against flesh and blood, but against rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces in the heavenly realms. The sermon challenges us to examine where we might be deceived—not by obvious lies, but by subtle distortions that feel true to our itching ears. Like sheep that fixate on a single blade of grass and wander away, we can become so focused on what we want to be true that we miss what actually is true. The call here is radical: true strength isn't found in self-sufficiency or invulnerability, but in weakness surrendered to Christ. When we try to love God by our own strength, we burn out and become disillusioned. But when we admit our need, confess our deceptions, and put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word—we discover that Christ's power is made perfect in our weakness. This isn't solitary Christianity; we need each other to battle deception. The 59 'one another' commands in the New Testament aren't suggestions—they're lifelines that keep us grounded in truth and protected from the schemes of the enemy.
A Gospel-filled life is not passive—it's a battlefield. We are called to stand firm in the strength of the Lord and to pray at all times.Spiritual warfare isn't fought with our own power, but through faith, truth, righteousness, and the Word of God.Stand against the schemes of the enemyStay alert and pray without ceasingVictory doesn't come from striving—it comes from standing in Christ.Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:10–20
