 In the quiet of our hearts, we come to you, Our Lady of Sorrows, Mother of the Crucified, Mother of us all. The intensive sensory experience of today's Gospel might obscure the context of a meal. This is especially poignant in a gospel that has no institution narrative, but offers a rich Eucharistic interpretation through themes of memory, community, and ethics.
