In this episode of What's the World Coming To?, Pastor Ken Ortize examines the signs of the end times exactly as Jesus described them.Drawing primarily from Matthew 24 and Luke 21, this teaching focuses on Jesus' own warnings—religious deception, global conflict, moral collapse, persecution, geopolitical upheaval, and the final rebellion that precedes His return.Rather than approaching end-times prophecy as abstract theology, this episode presents it as instruction Jesus intended His followers to understand.Topics include:• False Christs and widespread deception• Wars, unrest, and increasing global instability• Lawlessness and moral breakdown• The persecution of Christians worldwide• The near-global reach of the gospel• Jerusalem's unique role in end-time events• The collapse of world systems• Fear, confusion, and spiritual deception• Signs, wonders, and the rise of the AntichristIf you're asking what Jesus meant when He warned about the “end of the age,” this episode provides biblical clarity and perspective.www.wtwcomingto.com
Transforming Perspectives | Intriguing, is the biblical portrait of the futuristic mile high city descending from the heavens called the New Jerusalem. Inquisitively, most believers ponder earnestly of the significance of its appearance on earth, showcasing divine wonders of the glory of its inhabitants, named ZION.Biblical narratives foretell of the people chosen to become the stronghold of the glory of God, Zion. The foundation and foreshadowing of the multitude of nations, identifying the children of God, presented as pillars and copiousness of the holiness of God's glory. In Hebrew called ‘כּבוד' כּבוד which is pronounced ‘kâbôd kâbôd in English. The city of David in which God's presence once dwelled in the temple, “Nevertheless David captured the strong hold (fortress) of Zion: the same is the city of David.” 2 Samuel 5:7, The Amplified Bible.Jerusalem, the city built upon a mount, high above its enemies, adorned with the riches of God's glory. Representing the splendour of God revealed in his people as luminaries shining in the beauty of his Glory, צבי in Hebrew, pronounced ‘tseb-ee', describing a status of prominence. Also, foretold by the prophet Isaiah of the spiritual condition of the people called Zion, faithfully standing as luminaries in the beauty of Lord our God, exclaiming, “In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people. And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.” Isaiah 28:6, King James Version.Formidably, is the term ‘doxa' in Greek, pronounced ‘dox'-ah' meaning honor, praise and worship from which the English word doxology is derived. John witnessed the descent of Zion, the New Jerusalem in the splendor of the glory of God, exclaiming, “And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God, and its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.” Revelation 21:10-1, American Standard Version. Transforming Perspectives | Scriptures, demystify the imagery of pitch forks and nail clawed demons, dwelling amid fire and brimstone in the place called Hell or biblical Greek, Hades. Instead, depicts Hades not as a singularly purposed dominion under the rule of the adversaries of God but as a designation ordered by God under his sovereign rule. Scriptures, describe three realms or dimensions in which the dead, demonic, and wicked are held as captives until God's reckoning, redemption and final judgment. Firstly, the fallen angels that were cast out of the realm of God's council, down into the depths of the earth. Hell, often referenced as Perdition which God spoke by the prophet Ezekiel, “I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descended into the [pit]…” (a holding place, prison or dungeon, cell or grave). Ezekiel 31:16, King James Version She'ôl, in biblical Hebrew In the Old Testament, is defined as the world of the dead, similar to a subterranean retreat including its accessories and inmates. Many believe She'ôl as the resting place in which the dead were kept until the mystery of God's Salvation was revealed, referencing Jesus the Christ. Apostle Paul explains in the Letter to the Ephesians of Jesus descending into the earth, so to bring captivity captive, as he ascended, inferring freeing those who were held captive by death.Formidably, Jesus came, died and rose again, defeating death, so men would be raised into eternal life. Effectually, salvation by faith in him and from God's final judgment in Hades, the Lake of Fire. John the Apostle, exclaims of seeing Jesus…“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:17-18, King James VersionPray, Read and Study - Ezekiel Chapter 31 and John Chapter 17. 2024-08-01 - Signs of the End Times: Matthew 24 [aTwfzA4mNDY] by Salvador Flores III
Transforming Perspectives | Philosophically, most avoid the subject of God's Wrath. Perhaps, because of a lack of knowledge, pertaining to God's effectual love, or a misunderstanding of the evils of man's carnal nature. Therefore, believing God's Wrath precludes the general population. God is love but without the Spirit of God, man cannot understand the existential purity of his mercy and compassion upon all mankind. God knows men's every act as well as convicting the heart for each wrongdoing. The Epistle to the Hebrews expresses, “For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making in operative, energizing, and effective]. Is shaper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as the division of soul and spirit [ the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow, [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews Chapter 4:12, Amplified Bible. Scriptures are clear, God's wrath will come upon anyone not clothed in the righteousness of God, referred often, as found naked. The same condition Adam and Eve attested before God in the Garden. Formidably, the letter to the Hebrews expressed of the effect of the Presence of God and its reaction to his supreme holiness and righteousness. Apostle Paul exhorts further, “And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews Chapter 4:13, English Standard Version. In Revelation, John the Apostle witnessed also of the Lord's sitting upon his throne of Judgment as with the visions of Ezekiel and Jeremiah, of Jesus' return to reign on earth and to judge the world for all unrighteousness, stating “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” Revelation 19:15, KJV. Yet, God's Grace is our assurance and guarantee of being saved from his Wrath, being at rest by faith in Jesus Christ, the Messiah.Pray, Read and Study - Jude Chapter 1, Revelation Chapter 19. The Bible, presented in various versions, is for each reader's edification of the Scriptures. ________________________Thank you for joining and listening to our Podcast's Episodes! Transforming Perspectives | Phenomenal, is the 'World', believed as the physical land masses stretched across geographical atlases or rotating globes. Biblically, this ideology is, ארץ pronounced, 'erets (Hebrew), and means land or the earth. The implication is, as in the Beginning when the Lord spoke, ‘Let there be..' and aspects of creation became visible as physical substance and matter, such as, the Heavens and the Earth. Formidably distinctive, defining ‘the World' in certain Scriptures, is the word, κόσμος (Greek), in English pronounced cosmos, which is interpreted as an orderly arrangement, decoration or adornment, presumable of creation or the earth and figuratively includes its inhabitants, morally. This ideology is implied when John the disciple proclaimed, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16, Kings James Version.Theologically, the formative ideology of ‘the World' as an adornment of God's creation are the effects of his Supremacy, council, orders and decrees, called the Law. Most, understand this ideal as the physics of ‘cause and effect'. The ecologies of the natural environment, and habitable creatures of plant, animal and man. Solomon inferred, of the constant transitioning of World, as עןלם, עלם, pronounced, ‛ôlâm ‛ôlâm (Hebrew), pertaining to eternity, by expressing, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11, King James Version.Subsequently, that World became corrupted when Adam sinned, secularly, the Fallen World. Scriptures are specific pertaining to the conditions of the world in the end times, correlating it to pride, sedition, and idolatry, symbolically termed Babylon. Apostle John, saw in visions of the effects of the Lord's righteousness, that the corrupted must become incorruptible, and hearing the angel's voice shouting, “Babylon is Fallen, is Fallen! “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” Revelation 18:3, King James Version.Pray, Read and Study | Isaiah Chapter 48 and Revelation Chapters 17 & 18.____________________Thank you for joining and listening to our Podcast's Episodes! Cooke guest hosts the second hour of Monday's show going through a list of the top biblical signs of the end times and distinguishes between the rapture and the second coming of Christ.
Signs of the End Times - Rapture - Evangelist Sean Golliday - November 9 by Pastor Larry Huch
Throughout history, Christians have predicted Christ's return based on dramatic world events—from the Crusades to global pandemics. But when Jesus predicted the temple's destruction, He warned His disciples not to be deceived by wars, earthquakes, or false messiahs claiming "the time is at hand." Dr. John examines Luke 21:5-11, showing how Jesus calls us to steady confidence rather than anxious speculation about the end times. The End of the Age: Our desire to see into the future is more than curiosity. We want to know what will happen so we can be prepared. If we know what the weather will be, what the stock market will do or how our job interview will turn out, we can adjust accordingly. In this 10-message series, Dr. John Neufeld teaches on Jesus' words and actions from Luke 21-22. Jesus points to the end of the age and describes what will be. While He doesn't answer our question of "When?", Jesus tells believers how to be ready. If we live as prepared people, the timing of Jesus' return will not catch us off guard.
In this message from Matthew 24:1–14, Ps. Sean explores how Jesus revealed the signs of the end times and the reality of His coming. Where nations rise against nations, false prophets deceive, and love grows cold, Jesus calls us to remain vigilant, steadfast in faith, and focused on eternity. Discover how living with an eternal perspective means staying ready for His return, proclaiming the Gospel to all nations, and living holy, Godly lives in anticipation of the glorious appearing of our Lord.
Signs of the End Times - Pre-Rapture - Mitch Ford - November 2 by Pastor Larry Huch
Transforming Perspectives | Having our names written in the Lamb's Book of Life, is an obscured authentication of believer's Faith in Jesus Christ. Biblically, it is a wondrous act, conveyed when Jesus spoke to Nicodemus, of one's proof of having entered into the kingdom of God, born of the Spirit. The Lamb's book of life, distinct from the book of life, contains the records of every person having accepted Jesus Christ, as the righteousness of God, and the propitiation for their sins, the atoning sacrifice satisfying the penalty of death, and becoming born again. Formidably, the book of life, are accountings and recordation of all creation as well as all humanity on earth. This Book is more than ledgers as men would believe, but actuaries in the realm of the counsel of God. Archives of his knowledge and observance of every person, as expressed by David, exalting Almighty God, “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet, there was none of them.” Psalms 139:16, English Standard Version. In the Book of Revelation, Apostle John, received in visions, Letters from the Lord written to the ‘Seven Churches,' exhorting of them his assessment of their Faith. Noteworthy, are the significances of the Lord's frankness, timing and urgency of the delivered messages. An erroneous assumption for believers of the prophetic narrative, is to overlook or underestimate the audience defining each Church to whom the Lord addresses and of their position of Faith, as Jesus says, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 30There are many signs mentioned throughout the NT by Jesus and others that are said to come during the "last days." Many writers and prophetic speculators have claimed that these signs are happening all around us today. Unfortunately for them, the context for these biblical signs was "soon," as in soon when the NT was written—that is, in the first century AD.
