Recorded December 20, 2023 (Part 2 of 2) It's our third annual prediction show! And I predict we'll do it again next year. We first review our predictions from last year to see just how well we did. Some of us were dead on, others were hit & miss, and yet others seem to be deliberately vague just to claim accuracy regardless of outcome. Then, we each prognosticate on what to expect in 2024. Much of it seems to be around AI and Teams. Sorry. This discussion lasted almost an hour, so we split it into two episodes. Alternate show titles: Don't touch my pixels Don't go anywhere near that V I've been exposed to more VR They're strapping it to every product Show us on the doll Blown all over your campus Justin Time All unicorns and rainbows We gotta keep up with our sh*t

Something like 8 billion, right? And [there are] 330 million in the US. So is the problem that we can't find applicants, or we're not looking in the right place, or we're not in a broad enough spectrum?”“That's really one of the most important things in recruiting today: the ability to build rapport and a sense of belonging with the candidates and to help them understand the culture and what it is to work there.”Contact:LinkedInProduction by Affogato Media

Whether it's “big cable” or 5G, that fast, modern connection you've always wanted is just around the corner. The infrastructure used by ground-based internet service providers is a huge investment, one that most companies pay for by having a lot of customers in a relatively small area – that is, a city. However, if you don't live in town, you'll find yourself paying more or getting less quality when you sign up for ground-based internet service. In some cases, you might even have to pay the ISP thousands of dollars to dig trenches to run a cable to your home.Steve Mesnick of Viasat is here to tell us how consumers can stay online all the time between school, work, and personal interests through high-quality satellite-based internet that can connect homes even in the hardest-to-reach locations. Did you know? Some 5 million American households with school-aged children don't have high-speed internet at home, with 96.5 percent of students reporting that they are expected to go online to finish their homework assignments. Satellite internet has less equipment on the ground compared to terrestrial internet providers, so the network is less likely to sustain damage during extreme weather, roadwork, and other emergencies. There's a myth that satellite internet is very expensive. However, when compared to mobile hotspots and other connectivity options for people who live outside of major urban areas, satellite internet often delivers a better bargain per gig.

Day: 061 Date: Sunday, Mar. 01, 2020 Topic: People for Certain Seasons Note from Aimee J.: Hold on tight to some and let go of others. It will be okay. Action: Listen I am all reflecting on your life. You should know that by now. Today, I want you to reflect on the people in your life. Some people come and go out of your life like silent ninjas. Others stay in your life and make their presence known. What I want you to ask yourself is, are they a positive presence? It isn’t uncommon for you to answer that question with a no for some people, maybe even some family members. People who are verbally, emotionally, and especially physically abusive to you have got to go. It won’t be easy, but at the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you and your mental health. The other thing you need to do is acknowledge that relationships change. Some friends who you were super close to in high school or college, you may not be as close to ten years later. And that is okay. The important thing is to recognize that. Then there are those who come in and become your new best friends. People come in and go out of our lives like the seasons and if we’re lucky we have a few sticking around for multiple seasons. That’s how life works. Affirmations: You are Awesome. You are Loved. You are Needed. And most importantly, YOU ARE ENOUGH. Resources & Links: Your Personal Hype Man ; Alexa Skill: Your Personal Hype Man ; Your Personal Hype Man on iTunes Chasing Dreams with Aimee J. Topic - People! Stop flossing with these things! Just 16% of us floss daily. Why don't we? It takes too much time, it's painful or just plain gross. If that's not bad enough, people pry debris from their teeth using all kinds of things. The Waterpik company did a study to learn about the unusual items that people use instead of floss. 61% have used their fingernails to remove food. Many others have used folded paper or cards, safety pins, knives, forks and strands of hair. Oh yes, most of the people confessed they knew better and reported that they hurt themselves when they went digging for dental debris, but they did it anyway. We know that mouth bacteria is related to some big-ticket health problems like heart disease. Where do you want to spend your time - comfortably flossing your teeth in your own bathroom or a few weeks in cardiac intensive care? Totally your call. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/drclaudia/message
