If you want to live your life as your authentic self – not the person you want others to see – but as you, the real you, then we all know we have work to do and tools to find that can help with that. One of those tools is Human Design. Never heard of it? Yea, me neither, but I learned a lot this week from my in-studio guest, Brianne Cuttler of Be Aligned, an intuitive life and success coach and expert in Human Design. Before we sat down together, I sent her my date of birth (9/1/1981), my time of birth (7:21 pm) and place of birth (Philadelphia, PA) and she did a custom reading (I know – it sounds like astrology but it's not), providing info that helps me understand my soul's energy better so I can more effectively navigate all the energies around me (Brianne – did I get that right?). It's fascinating, it's fun and it's FACTUAL. So much of what she told me, just HIT. You can find out more (and contact her for your own private session) at her Instagram @Be.Aligned.BC and check out her latest offering with one of my favorite people in the world (and a past That Greenwich Life guest – episode 6 - go check her out), Julie Vincent of Clear Space For Joy. Together, starting Nov 7, they are launching The Joyful Alignment Mentorship, a supportive community for sacred discussions and self-discovery through Human Design, mindfulness, and embodied practices. I'm joined by Adam Robinson who has bootstrapped startups to millions of dollars in revenue, as we deep dive on how we would validate and grow a startup idea.1) The Yonder Phone Pouch market is exploding• Locks phones away to create "phone-free spaces"• Already in schools, concerts, comedy shows• Huge potential for innovation (charging, remote unlock, etc.)• Adam predicts 98% of middle schools will require in 10 years2) How to validate & launch a Yondr competitor:• Target affluent customers first (Elon approach)• Have 100s of conversations before building• Look for "eyes lighting up" as signal• Prototype only after strong validation3) Growth strategy: Micro-influencer UGC• Outreach to 1000s of relevant micro-influencers• Send free product, ask for honest posts if they like it• No monetary incentives needed for authentic content• Aim for breadth of coverage, not mega-influencers4) Copywriting Framework• Study successful brands in similar space (e.g. Jolie)• Use AI (Claude, ChatGPT) to adapt their style• Remember: Don't copy, but get inspired and make it your own5) The "third way" of building startups:• Combine Rework's bootstrapping principles with Y Combinator's focus on product excellence• Result: Profitable growth without VC dependency• If product is truly excellent, word-of-mouth drives growthWant more free ideas? Ever wondered how to create a retreat that's not only enjoyable, but also drives real results for your clients AND your business? In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on my retreat planning process, sharing the strategies I've used to host 12 successful retreats. Plus, I'll give you a sneak peek into my upcoming retreat, Project Attraction, designed specifically for coaches looking to master client attraction. Key Takeaways: Don't build your entire business model around retreats. Instead, view them as the cherry on top of your existing offers. Make sure your retreat aligns with the needs and desires of the clients you already serve. Consider your own schedule and preferences, as well as the availability of vendors and amenities. Factor in all expenses, from lodging and food to marketing and surprises. Don't overload your itinerary. Leave space for downtime, personal reflection, and fun activities. Help your clients leave with tangible outcomes they can apply to their businesses. Delegate tasks like food preparation and logistics to free up your energy for coaching and connection. Use the energy of the retreat to gather valuable feedback from your attendees. Special Invitation: Join me for Project Attraction, my upcoming retreat in Scottsdale, Arizona, from September 23rd to 26th. It's almost full, so don't miss out! Head over to https://amanda-walker.com/retreat/ to snag one of the last spots. If you're considering hosting your retreat or have questions about Project Attraction, send me a DM or visit my website. Let's create a transformative experience together! Remember: Don't let fear or objections hold you back. Saying yes to this experience could be the catalyst for incredible growth in your business and personal life.
Hey everyone, Sandra here from The Long Game Podcast! Today we're tackling a big one: burnout. As entrepreneurs, especially those of us in the course and membership site world, we live in launch cycles. Constant selling, content creation, the pressure to keep up... it's enough to make anyone exhausted. But here's the thing: burnout isn't just fatigue. It's a real, WHO-defined syndrome with physical and emotional consequences. Burnout sneaks up on you: it builds gradually. You might find yourself unmotivated, dreading launches, or even questioning your entire business model. This is your burnout signal: a nudge to change things up. Here's the good news: you have the power to make those changes. As an entrepreneur, you're the boss. Forget "better self-care" - listen to your needs and reimagine your business. Ditch the one-size-fits-all approach and create a system that works for you. My client story: They launched a successful $2,000 course, but hated the launch cycle. We scrapped it and built a hybrid approach, selling their existing content in a new way. Now, they're excited and fulfilled! Remember: Don't just push through: acknowledge your burnout and let it motivate change. Think creatively: tweak your systems, present your offers uniquely, and embrace innovation. Breaks are important: rest, exercise, eat well, and sleep to fuel your creative thinking. Burnout is a cycle: break it by making lasting changes. Feeling stuck? You're not alone. Tune in for more on creative thinking to keep your business (and you) energized! Key takeaways: Burnout is a real syndrome, not just fatigue. Listen to your burnout signal and make changes. Create your own business system, not a copycat. Embrace creative thinking and innovation. Break the burnout cycle with lasting changes. Don't let burnout win! Turn it into flow and build a business that works for you. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We can definitely unlearn a lot the hurt we have. Mirrors can show the positive please believe me. How we look at ourselves at times, shows people how to view us too. ***I made it through very well before a... Cough attack came about.*** Remember: Don't fall so far back that your past... Not too many people would list "brokenness" and "neediness" as attributes that attract or draw them to people. However, we see in the Word, that Christ Himself said He came for these people. Those who were sick, broken, and oppressed. Maybe God has healed you from brokenness, but you've found yourself on a downward slope, unsure of what is happening in this season or if you will ever come back. Are these troubled times making you worry that you may never be healed at all? Today, these 2 truths are highlighted: Everyone who is in Christ is a new creature. He is looking on you with compassion. Remember, healing is a process, and after the healing must come the “filling”. Tune in to episode 26 now: Red flags of rebellion Paying attention to areas of resurfacing pain and what to do when this happens. How our stumbling reminds us of our need for Christ. Ways that the enemy tries to defeat us when we are in the pit and how to overcome. Christ is acquainted with our sorrows. Quotes to Remember: “Don't let the enemy make you stumble in condemnation or rebellion." “While you may be hiding from the Lord, consider that perhaps He is looking on you with compassion rather than judgment.” “Even when the Lord has healed us, there is re-learning and reconditioning that has to occur.” Scriptures: Luke 19:10 Mark 2:13-17 Luke 15:11-32 Philippians 2:12 Psalm 51:17 2 Cor 5:17 Philippians 4:13 Isaiah 53:3 Psalm 103:11-15 Connect with me and get on the Mailing Lists! Welcome to the Love Where You Are podcast! In today's episode I am joined with Lauren Chandler. Lauren Chandler is passionate about writing, music, and leading worship at her home congregation, The Village Church, and across the country. She is the author of two Bible studies, including With Us in the Wilderness, and two other books including one for children: Goodbye to Goodbyes. Lauren and her husband, pastor Matt Chandler, live with their three children in Flower Mound, Texas. In this episode, Lauren Chandler and I dive deep into praise. Praising God can seem easy during the pleasant pastures of life's journey, but even then we can get distracted and not do it enough, and through the storms of life it can be difficult to praise Him. Lauren and I discuss the ways we can praise God through all seasons of life, the sunny days and the dark nights, and how to foster homes of praise and demonstrate it to our kids--it makes an impact! Thank you for being here today. Now, let's dive into the conversation! You can connect with Lauren Chandler through Instagram and her website Plus you can order her new book! FAVORITE TAKE-AWAYS: *Praise isn't just for singing in church. Praise can be walking out the door with all the kids trying to get to school, and realizing the sunrise is stunning. Nature is full of God's beauty and wonderous handiwork and can bring us back to Him. Praise can also be lived out as a life-long expression of obedience to Him. Rethinking "praise" can help us do it on a daily basis. *Praise changes our focus. Lauren shares the example of being in a bad mood one morning, rushing to get kids to school, and then after stopping to see God's sunrise and turned to praise, she found her mood completely change. With her heart pointed to praise and thanksgiving, her mood shifted and was able to extend love and grace to her kids that morning and begin her day brighter. *Kids pick up more from us as parents based on our actions as opposed to our words. We can say a million good things, but it's our actions that kids notice and take after. Demonstrating a posture of praise even in dark seasons can help our kids as they go through their own dark seasons, remembering how mom and dad got through it. REMEMBER: *Don't discrdit your child's prayer or praise. Praying for a puppy's hurt toe can be a prayer which leads to praying more with God, especially in darker seasons, like witnessing a friend's parents get divorced. *Every child has his or her own journey to Christ. All we can do is model Christ's love and show them He is real through our life as an example, and through bringing them up on the solid foundation of scripture. We have to trust God that He will handle the rest. Connect with me! Here's my Facebook & Instagram! Now, go love where you are and live on mission for Jesus today.

Paul is back back back in the house and knocking one out solo, reflecting on the last episode and how he turned FOMO into JOMO. Channeling the great philosophers Simon Amstell and Adele, he takes on issues of success, failing, relationships and death. Of course. And he has questions! Is there really more road behind than ahead? What would your Queer Manifesto say? Should he stop talking to strangers in the changing room? What would be on your taster menu at the Relationship Cafe? We know the fruits of the Holy Spirit as love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance - according to Galatians 5:22. How well do we strive to be Christ-like so these fruits grow within us? Our relationship with God will produce these fruits - but only if we nurture them and listen to the Holy Spirit. https://printer.gotquestions.net/GeneratePF?articleId=1234 https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Galatians-Chapter-5/#22 In this episode Allen and I talk about calling upon and listening to the Holy Spirit. The fruits of the Holy Spirit are given to us automatically when we turn to Jesus for our eternal salvation. We can either turn to our sinful desires or we can turn to these fruits to become evident in our lives. The closer we become to Christ, the more these fruits will be apparent. REMEMBER - Don't ever be ashamed to ask about things you don't understand. Go to God in prayer, ask for answers to be revealed to you, stay in God's will and read your bible. We aren't perfect and we don't profess to be, far from it actually - keep that in mind as you listen to our stories. If you are spending more time picking apart our messages, your spending too much time on the wrong things. Put your focus back on God. Read Your Bible. Pray. Surround Yourself with Like-Minded Christians. Gather with Two or More in His Name. ✟

Podcast Air Date: Monday, July 5, 2021 Topic: The Finale Note from Aimee J.: You are awesome! Oftentimes we hear it's easy to quit and it's harder to keep going. But in this case, it is easier to keep going and harder to stop. Today is the last episode of Your Personal Hype Man. With the Chasing Dreams podcast ending the week before, it was time I took stock of my activities. Take a step back and see where I should be focusing my energy and efforts and the difficult truth was that I need to be focusing on something else right now. I have a different, larger project in the works that I hope this will help many of you. But I can't divide my time and energy between that and this podcast. I started this podcast wanting to remind you of your worth. Of how amazing you are and how much this world needs you as you are. I still believe in that message. It is a part of my new project as well. For now, I say till we meet again and I hope that will be soon. Keep up with me on my socials and know that you are always welcome to reach out. Podcast Air Date: Monday, June 28, 2021 Topic: Give Feedback Note from Aimee J.: You will do amazing today! Action: This message is especially geared to those who have a positive experience with something because most folks never hold back on complaining about something or giving negative criticism. I just hope it's constructive criticism. =) One of the toughest things for people, especially creatives, who put themselves out there is to not receive any feedback. Especially if you like what you see, read, hear, or experience. Let them know. It's the least we can do. Leave that rating, review, or comment. Doesn't have to be much. Whether it be movies, podcasts, books, fanfiction, artwork, plays, apps, restaurants, projects, etc. 9 times out of 10 you probably think one of two things. Either they know you love it because they're psychic or you believe someone else has told them. This isn't just for creatives. People in your work environment. Your family, your friends. Here's the gentle reminder: People are not psychic and will not know what you think and feel about something unless and until you give them feedback and tell them somehow. Affirmations: You are Awesome. You are Loved. You are Needed. And most importantly, YOU ARE ENOUGH. Podcast Air Date: Monday, June 21, 2021 Topic: Missing Out on First Isn't the End Note from Aimee J.: You will do amazing today! Action: First was Microsoft, then came Apple. The same can be said for all the car companies around the world. Being the first person to do something isn't always the best thing. It certainly doesn't mean you can't pursue a similar path and be better at it. The Olympics show us that records held by people who were the first, can be broken and typically are over time. Don't let the fact that someone has done something first stop you from doing the same thing. Use it as inspiration! The world needs you however you decide to show up. If someone has done it before, fine, but they haven't done it like you. Affirmations: You are Awesome. You are Loved. You are Needed. And most importantly, YOU ARE ENOUGH. Podcast Air Date: Monday, June 14, 2021 Topic: Be Mindful of Your Time Note from Aimee J.: You will do amazing today! There are 1,440 minutes in a day. If you get an average night's sleep of 7 hours, you have 1020 minutes (17 hours) left. If you have a job or go to school, you usually lose another 10 hours, which means you now have 420 minutes of your day left. That's 7 hours for you to decide what you're going to do with your time during the weekday. You get even more time back (hopefully) on the weekends. This will of course vary by person, but the concept doesn't change. You have more time than you realize to do things. Be mindful of that and plan accordingly. Affirmations: You are Awesome. You are Loved. You are Needed. And most importantly, YOU ARE ENOUGH. Podcast Air Date: Monday, June 07, 2021 Topic: Have a Life of Your own first Note from Aimee J.: You will do amazing today! Action: Those of us who wear multiple hats in our life, often find ourselves putting our own wants and needs, our own life to the side. Our roles which serve others, are made the priority and rarely do we put ourselves first. And to be clear, I am not saying the other roles in our life are not important, nor am I saying they shouldn't be a priority. However, what I am saying is that you have to put yourself first every now and then. Making sure that you are happy, that you are cared for, that you are okay is SUPER important. If none of these things is true, then you will not be performing your other roles to the best of your ability. You can in fact have it all, it just may not be the perfectly crafted image you had in mind. Affirmations: You are Awesome. You are Loved. You are Needed. And most importantly, YOU ARE ENOUGH. Podcast Air Date: Monday, May 31, 2021 Topic: Don't Look for Outside Validation Note from Aimee J.: You will do amazing today! Action: You do not need outside validation. This is your life to live and enjoy. You do not need others to define your successes, your happiness, or your achievements. You need to just look within yourself. That’s it. Podcast Air Date: Monday, May 24, 2021 Topic: Everything has A Purpose Note from Aimee J.: You will do amazing today! Action: This one is going to be hard to hear because it applies to both the good and the bad. There is a purpose hidden in all of our experiences. It’s usually easy to identify in the good times, but the bad/tough times is a different story. You may not see it during your experience or even immediately after, but down the road, when you’re away from it … you may see it more clearly. This is especially true when we talk about the tough times. All that being said though, I do want to make something clear. During those tough times, you will naturally feel your feelings and that’s okay. Give yourself time for rest and recovery. Finding the purpose of something does not have to happen right away. Even then, frankly we don’t always have to find the purpose. Affirmations: You are Awesome. You are Loved. You are Needed. And most importantly, YOU ARE ENOUGH. Have you set up independent activities for your little ones in the home? Listen in to learn how to help them get involved with daily life tasks such as food preparation and tidying up. Happy to have Simone Davies back to finish up the conversation we started in Episode 02. For her full introduction, see the show notes from that episode. Simone has been working with toddlers for over a decade and I'm excited to dig deeper into how we can truly respect our youngest humans. What we talked about: Why saying ‘good job!” can be a demotivator. The importance of allowing time for your child to develop. Language development and avoiding using baby talk. Ways to involve children in daily life tasks. Finding ways to work with children by helping them find solutions. Letting them know how capable they truly are. Things to Remember: "Don't look at your child to fill your cup. Fill your own." - Simone Davies "It's the process they are learning, not the product that is important." - Simone Davies Click here for Show Notes and more from Jeanne-Marie Paynel, Your Parenting Mentor.
