Episode 237 - Last week California Punk Rock legends NOFX released a split album with England's finest Punk-ish singer-songwriter Frank Turner covering each others songs. Luckily, I had the opportunity to speak with Frank Turner and NOFX Frontman Fat Mike about the release, and a whole lot more. In part 1, Frank joins me to talk about 90% of his earnings going away over night indefinitely, his 2500th show now as a live stream, his foray into music production, and how absolutely stoked he is on getting to hear one of his favorite bands of all time over his songs. Part 2 with Fat Mike of NOFX will be up next Wednesday Aug 19! Don't miss it. Thanks to Miller High Life (The Champagne of Beers! Ag News Today with Ryan McNally for Wednesday Aug 5th 2020.
We would like to review what GMOs are with our listening audience, about how they are changing our relationship to food, and what we can do to take control of the types of foods we eat. First, let’s answer the question; ‘what are genetically-modified foods?’ When you hear someone use the term, “Frankenfoods”, there’s a good reason. Genetically-modified foods take genetic material from one organism and put it into another. This gives the organism – plant or animal – characteristics that it didn’t have before, which your body will not recognize and to that end, will create a disease state. Please tune in Wednesday Aug 28th at 7PM FOR THE REST OF THE STORY.

It’s Wellness Wednesday at Aging Younger, where the alternatives to the medical pharmaceutical sickness industry are alive and well! Did you know that touching Mother Earth has enormous health benefits? To reveal a cure for diseases that was not a chemical made by man, called Drugs, would be against the law; for the use of the words “Treat” or “Cure” which are words rented by the Legal Drug Cartel from the FDA; who are in the pockets of the Legal Drug Cartel. The Mainstream Medical Pharmaceutical Sickness Industry has convinced the public that they have searched for decades, for cures of diseases that they make trillions of dollars on, with their, so called treatments and drugs that they prescribe. How long does it take for the educated to realize that to provide a cure for disease would crash their trillion dollar industry? There is no such thing as a drug cure for anything. Some diseases like cancer and dementia have even gotten worse with the Drug Cartel’s, so called “treatments”. We say Drug Cartel for the public name of the pharmaceutical industry, who control the so called “Healthcare Industry” and these Legal drugs kill more people than the illegal Drug Cartel kills every year. Without magnesium we could not produce energy, our muscles would be in a permanent state of contraction, and we could not adjust the levels of cholesterol produced and released into the blood stream. Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps to maintain normal nerve and muscle function, supports a healthy immune system, keeps the heart beat steady, and helps bones remain strong. Magnesium ions regulate over 300 biochemical reactions in the body through their role as enzyme co-factors. They also play a vital role in the reactions that generate and use ATP, the fundamental unit of energy within the body’s cells. A recent study showed that higher intakes of dietary magnesium were associated with a lower risk of colorectal tumors Tune in Wednesday Aug 15 AT 7PM
Vitamin B12 deficiency is one of the most prevalent nutritional deficiencies. It causes a range of symptoms, such as fatigue, forgetfulness and tingling of the hands and feet. The reason for the wide variety of symptoms is that vitamin B12 plays a principal role in numerous body functions. DNA is perhaps the most famous biological molecule; it is present in all forms of life on earth. Virtually every cell in your body contains DNA or the genetic code that makes you you. DNA carries the instructions for the development, growth, reproduction, and functioning of all life. Tune in Wednesday Aug 1 AT 7:PM---FOR THE REST OF THE STORY !
The whole point of this Radio Program is to talk about Choice, if you are going to be healthy, then you have to start by shattering old dysfunctional belief systems that have been pounded into your head by the media and mainstream medicine. A huge portion of the population take prescription drugs, too numerous to recite here, but topping the list are antibiotics, antidepressants and narcotic painkillers. Prescription drugs taken as directed “kill” more than 100,000 Americans each year. That's one person every five minutes. Sixty-five percent of the country takes one or some prescription drugs, yet our nation shows skyrocketing rates of all sorts of chronic diseases, like cancer, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer's disease and osteoporosis. If pharmaceuticals work to make people healthier, we should be the healthiest nation on the planet; Americans take more drugs than any other nation in the world, yet we are the unhealthiest. Tune in Wednesday Aug 10, at 7PM for the rest of the story.
Michael J. Talley and Gianni DeVincenti Hayses, PhD, wrote the book titled Drugs and your teen. This magnificent book comes from life experiences and an action plan put together to save, not only themselves, but to insure that the same things do not infect their children. One of the anonymous friends was quoted in the book: Kip struggled with getting clean. He couldn't figure out why he could not get clean and stay clean. He was crying from being dope sick and fed up and tired of living like that. He had a check in his hand but could not cash it until morning and he needed it to get "well". He really did not want to get high anymore, but he felt he could not stop. He chose the only way out, which was to end it all right then. Please tune in to get more information about the book that you no doubt will find fascinating. Wednesday Aug 13, at 7:PM est.
Finally arriving to Black Rock City just hours before this set, I had the honor playing at my long time neighborhood camps, Distrikt. The set began in the blistering hot 100 degree sun with only about 100 people at the camp. Having been my 3rd time playing there I was super excited to be able to sound the Mack truck horn located in the DJ booth after big breakdowns of these tracks, only to learn that the horn wasn't there. Apparently the horn was stolen --- a result of a rivalry joke played on Distrikt by the infamous Space Cowboys. I'll never forget the look on Kramer's face when he realized the horn was gone. He spent forever trying to fix it. By the end of the set there was probably about 1000+ people rocking it out, and to have been a part of that progression was mind-blowing. I hope you enjoy this journey through the big room daytime sound that is Distrikt. Love you guys. - Derek Hear more of Derek Hena here: http://soundcloud.com/pink-mammoth-official (Recorded live on Wednesday Aug.28th - 1:30-2:30pm - DISTRIKT Burning Man 2013)
Being my 9th year attending Burning Man, I was truly honored to have the opportunity to play at Distrikt for the first time. I had a great time playing an early set, setting the tone for the rest of the day. So much appreciation goes out to the Distrikt crew for all their hard work year after year.
