Today,we welcome Tommy P of Harlow’s Monkeys back on the broadcast! He’s just spent days upon days traveling by bicycle, touring around and sharing his new HM album. We’ll dive into the decision making process, the fears and funs of bike touring, and what was learned by this experience. I personally could not imagine doing what he’s done, so we’re stoked to learn a thing or two. This broadcast also marks Behind the Mynd's first hiatus. Taking a break to pursue a goal. Today we welcome Noah Laniakea to the broadcast!! In the thick of their April tour from San Francisco to L.A., Noah is stopping by to talk art, music, being a genius on the bass, and what the future holds for us. This will be their debut on BtM, and we are stoked to dive in.
This week, we welcome the great King Willow to the broadcast! These sisters create wonderful music; mixing harmonies, beautiful lyrics, and a truly catchy sounds. You may recognize them from the Harlow’s Monkeys broadcast, but now it’s time to dive into their story and have them share some of their own tunes. We’ll learn about renaming the band, what sister life was like whence younger, and if they’ve ever fought over song titles. Or if they ever fought in general. This week we welcome the lovable Papa Bear to the broadcast! This man has such a bright personality, and is currently traveling around spreading his message through his beautiful music. We are excited to dive into his story. If you are familiar with the Convent in the lower Haight area, you’ve probably caught a performance or two. He’s graced the stage at the Great American Music Hall as well as performing at Symbiosis and Burning Man. He’s everywhere. Tim can’t make it to the show today, but guest co-host Kim Bruder makes it in. We had to head out a little early today so it's a shorter broadcast. After living his days in Germany, England, and Ireland Julian has recently received his permanent resident card and can now share his music with us! We’ve had the pleasure of seeing him create harmonies on many notable San Francisco stages, from the Fillmore to the Great American Music Hall, and his vocal quality is unmatched.
