Today, Mardi Winder sits down with wellness practitioner Olya Piccirillo for an eye-opening conversation about healing from trauma and embracing true well-being after complex life changes, such as divorce.Drawing from her personal experiences with chronic illness, profound loss, and her own healing journey, Olya reveals how unresolved emotional wounds, sometimes stretching back to childhood or rooted in family and ancestral patterns, can quietly impact not only mental health but physical health, weight, relationships, and the way we navigate life. She explains why so many of us in Western cultures reach for quick fixes, like medication, to cope with pain, and how those solutions often overlook the deeper mind-body connection that is crucial for genuine recovery.Throughout the episode, Mardi and Olya discuss common patterns that show up in moments of stress or trauma, from self-sabotage and unhealthy relationships to emotional eating and low self-worth, and why recognizing these habits is the first step toward positive change. Olya Piccirillo shares practical strategies for tapping into self-compassion, reframing old stories, and moving beyond the “scarred, not broken” mindset that keeps so many people stuck. You will discover the powerful links between trauma, everyday choices, and physical well-being, and why addressing emotional blocks can unlock lasting transformation. As a special offering, Olya Piccirillo provides access to her emotional detox assessment, designed to help you identify wounds that may need healing and guide you toward becoming your best self.About the Guest:Olya Piccirillo is Wellness Practitioner who helps people release the emotional and energetic blocks that impact their health, weight, and well-being.
This episode will focus on the personal transformations and empowering journeys that come after some of life's biggest transitions. Today, host Mardi Winder is joined by the insightful Joann Malanga, a soul integration coach with a rich background in healthcare and expertise in a wide range of healing modalities. In this deeply personal and thought-provoking conversation, Joann shares how her own path, from feeling numb and unfulfilled in a high-stress healthcare career to battling depression and chronic illness, ultimately led her to a vibrant new chapter focused on holistic wellness and spiritual growth. Through stories from her own life and her work with clients, Joann shares the concept of “thresholds”, those difficult but transformative moments that demand growth and self-reflection, such as divorce, moving, or major life changes. You'll hear her thoughts on how traditional approaches to healing, like talk therapy, can sometimes keep us stuck in old stories, and why modalities like energy clearing, hypnotherapy, and meditation can create real breakthrough by helping us connect with our intuition and release generational patterns. Mardi and Joann also discuss how to cultivate inner peace, especially through challenging seasons like the holidays, and why learning to trust yourself is the most powerful tool for moving forward. With practical advice and a compassionate perspective, this episode is for anyone seeking to break free from old patterns, find support through life's transitions, and step boldly into a more joyful, authentic life. Whether you're navigating divorce, healing from trauma, or simply seeking inspiration to make a change, you'll find wisdom and encouragement in this uplifting conversation.About the Guest:Joann Malanga, Soul Integration Coach, Universal Rays Practitioner- RTT Hypnotherapist-Shamanic Practitioner- Shadow Integration Specialist, Reiki, IET, and Supports energy clearings/extractions and land clearings. Let's talk about building our personal success! Today, Mardi Winder gets real about something we all deal with, and that is our habits. You know, those little routines that can either make our lives easier or trip us up, especially when we're going through big changes like a divorce.Mardi chats with Ronnie Loaiza, life coach, personal trainer, journalist, and honestly, just an all-around inspiring person. Ronnie shares her own story of how she turned her health around and discovered the power of habits in every area of life.Together, they break down simple ways to ditch old habits that don't serve you, build new ones that actually stick, and why tiny changes make the biggest difference. From self-care to money mindset, there's something here for everyone, whether you're divorced, thinking about it, or just want to create some positive changes.Mardi and Ronnie take a dive deep into why habits are so hard to change, how our brains are wired to resist anything new (even if the old ways aren't serving us), and the secret to building habits that truly stick—hint: it's all about starting small and making it realistic for your own life. They cover everything from that classic “New Year's resolution” gym rush (and why it fizzles out) to the ways scrolling on your phone or careless spending can become invisible routines that eat up time and energy. You'll definitely pick up practical tips, maybe a few laughs, and feel empowered to make your own shifts. Plus, Ronnie's got a special freebie for listeners and shares how you can reach out to her if you want more support.
