Nothing new under the sun... except for D Caesar Nation. Here to entertain, inspire, and invoke healthy conversation on all things life.
So we got a chance to talk to a great friend of ours, mentor, big brother, father figure, Randee Drew. Randee, just like us, went to a PWI and these days he's working hard in the realm of education all while helping others reach their goals and provide resources that others like us didn't have growing up. Just going to throw this out there… in between those two periods of his life he just so happened to get the opportunity to live out one of his dreams which was becoming a pro Defensive Back in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers. He played football in Europe and Canda and eventually, he changed course into what he's doing now. Tap in as we talk to Randee about the process along his journey.
Back at it again with a new voice and a familiar one as well. In this episode D Mott and I got a chance to sit down with our brother Vic, aka City Boy, who is a writer and a poet, amongst other things. Over the course of the past ehhh maybe year Vic has shared some of his work with us and in return he has gotten the push to share it with you all. Our other guest is Dari who has rebranded himself as King Gold, and recently dropped his new single "Pay Me Sum". Right away the song was a hit as the views on YouTube and the streams on Spotify, Apple Music and etc. were gained in an instant. We just took a bit of time to talk about our crafts, what it takes to create, and hold ourselves and each other accountable. Enjoy!
What happens when you put a group featuring entrepreneurship, skill development, coaching, and education, all who also happen to be camp counselors at the same summer camp in a room? You get great conversation and content of course! Twain G and I had the pleasure to step away from our camp counselor duties for a moment to talk to three great friends of ours: Coach Reggie Rembert, Coach Chris Robinson and Alex Mullet. We got into some discussions about what they do aside from working to build up the next generation of leaders. We also discussed some staples in our respective households growing up in black homes, and how that has shaped us. Whether it be movies, hobbies, sports, or playing spades—which Alex gave me a hard time about because I only learned how to play two years ago—we all have things that set us apart but bring us together at the same time. Enjoy as we share a balance of deep conversation and laughs!
We'll keep this short and sweet… people have been wanting to hear D Mott a little more so we briefly interviewed him, we talked about things we would like to try that we haven't yet, Twain is a chicken finger type of dude and at the end D Caesar and D Mott almost die from doing the Paqui One Chip challenge
So, D Caesar came across a thread on Instagram that sparked a conversation. The thread showed some people talking about how quickly they may have quit a job, how they've handled push back and disrespect from employers, and etc. Show the guys talked about some ways they could relate and joked about some of their experiences. Some a little more serious but others turned into laughs but per usual overall great conversation. On top of all that, TWAIN G DROPS A BOMB ON THE CREW AND D MOTT HAS A MESSAGE FOR YOU ALL! TUNE IN!
We get a chance to talk to local up and coming artist, Dari. If you haven't tapped in with this young man, you are missing out on a treat. We chat about his origin story with getting into music and how he's progressed in the three years since. He's caught fire a little bit with his single, "Cold Motion" and more recently his EP Classic Dream. With not having too much time in between the two projects and them both having unquestionably different sounds, this seemed to really have piqued interest of listeners. We also shared some laughs in between Dari talking about his approach to cancel culture and his inspirations as D Caesar and Jake, our Creative Director trade jokes back and forth. Come find out about Dari as he and D Caesar Nation prepare for a HOT summer.
So we've been working on a few things in the background and behind the scenes as of late. Leading up to the summer we are looking to add dimensions to the show. We've got merchandise that is available on our website and we've added a Creative Director & Producer. Our friend Jake McCoy brings his skills with audio and visuals along with other ideas to add he sat down to discuss that with D Caesar. Here's a quick episode to fill everybody in on what to expect from the self-proclaimed, Last Angle Bender.
In this episode, D Mott and I some how go over a few topics surrounding "comebacks" as the conversation carries. First off, D Mott is back with some good news surrounding his work place, so we're going to keep our fingers crossed for him. With the country slowly starting to open back up, we talked about how we felt about potentially gaining access to things like going to sports arenas and even music festivals that have been pushed back to the fall season. We discussed being excited to see rapper Bobby Shmurda home and D Mott answered the question about whether he is looking forward to getting new music him. We also took time to give a shoutout to our partnership with new local custom printing service, RAW DESIGNS! Also did Drake steal our flow with his latest EP "Scary Hours 2"? Did D Mott give us a preview of one of his own tracks for the ladies? Press play to find out!
Another solo session and this time I brought on a good friend of mine. My guy, Monty Long, works as a Service Facilitator in the mental health field while based in Madison, WI. We started off by talking about how he got into his career and what it means for him to be able to represent his community and culture in a field still surrounded by stigmas. We also discussed what may cause someone to find success or fame and not being able to leave their old ways behind and Monty made some great points on that along with what he thinks about cancel culture and whether society is "soft." There were a lot of great takes and thoughts provided in this episode and I know you all will enjoy it as much as I did.
So obviously 2020 ended as weird as we probably expected, and 2021 didn't start off too hot either. Politically a lot of us feel like we're are going in the right direction with the Biden-Harris administration. Between the three of us came up with one word to describe what we think is coming up next for Trump and came up with some good ones on the spot. We dive into some "New Years resolutions such as putting ideas into action, investing, and continuing to keep up with our health. We also touched on keeping up with the mental health as well and D Caesar briefly opens up on his struggles and rising above it. You know we brought the laughs along with us as well and we hope y'all enjoy this. Shout out Michelle Obama by the way
So we didn’t didn’t really have an official season finale for Season 1 of D Caesar Nation but we are moving on to Season 2! (We gotcha next time, lol) We’ve had some interesting conversations about this past election and what we think about the rolling out of the Covid-19 vaccine. We also briefly talked about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s decision to stick around in Milwaukee and what it’s means to us and the city. We hope you enjoy as we kick off Season 2!
Hey guys it's D Caesar! In this episode I got a chance to talk to everyone straight up about some things that were on my mind. Wisconsin has been in the national news for some adverse and beyond upsetting reasons, I just wanted to briefly give my thoughts on continuing the conversation about what has been done to continue the conversation about equality and some of the necessary work to bring change. I took a little bit of time to talk about Chadwick Boseman, what his roles meant, and what he just meant to a lot of people as a person. I hope you enjoy hearing my voice for like 30 something minutes.
Welcome back everybody! In a milestone episode for D Caesar Nation, we got together for some casual conversation on some recent events and what's coming up. We got the chance to dig in about some of our observations from when we started our podcast to what we've learned to this point. We've had the opportunity as of late to make some additions to our brand that you will get a chance to hear about. We also briefly talked about the impact covid-19 is still having on us and some hobbies we've picked up in the meantime, and somebody had a run in with a groundskeeper??? Tune in to share some laughs We also want to give a shout out to the big homie Will Smith. Keep your head up big dawg ✊
On this edition, we bring back some of our past guests as well as a few fresh voices on-air and get right down to business. Matt and Nate describe their personal experiences being in the trenches during protests, and Twain G speaks his mind on why he doesn’t believe the police force should be defunded. As far as sports seemingly on cue being brought back, the squad differs on whether it is detrimental to the movement and a distraction. From the recent slayings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor (among countless others) and the impact that the worldwide protests have had, to the current idea of defunding the police and what that might look like, DCZR Nation doesn’t miss a beat.
After a little hiatus, the gang is back with new topics and the same humor of course. D Mott's saying, "Get Your Girth Up", holds more weight (pun intended) as an old friend drops by to shed light on his experience as a certified personal trainer and business owner. We talk about the journey to separate his craft from the social media "buffs". Of course, Twain G can feel the vibes of that business mindset and the daily grind in order to reach the pinnacle of success. D Caesar also opens up about a few things that he's been dealing with and thinking about as of late.
D Caesar Nation is back with some of our takes as the world is taking on the current pandemic. We know that you've gone through all the numbers being thrown at you and you've been told a million times about ways to stay clear of Covid-19, so we aren't going to bother you with too much of that. We took the time this episode to just reflect on the ways we've coped and manage up to this point and what we have observed about our surroundings. Hopefully in this episode you get a boost in your spirit and a chance to laugh and smile as we are all in this together.
In this edition we were blessed by the presence of our brother, local musician, and father, WillOnWater. He’s back with a lot of heat after taking a short break from the music game. With tracks like Verified, The Process, Hustle Habit and more, the timing on his comeback couldn’t have been at a better time. We got a chance to talk to him about fatherhood, his daily routines and his music then and now. Twain G even got Will to give us his take on Entertainment vs Life. It is was brief and we promise we’re leaving it alone after this episode
On this edition of D Caesar Nation we have the conscientious Matt Miller, a local music promoter, talk about some past endeavors and the path he took leading up to now in Milwaukee's music industry. Of course what's an episode without the usual agreeance to disagree on various topics.
In this edition we touch on the difference between entertainment and real-life events. As the conversation goes along it’s safe to say Caesar and Twain G agree to...agree?!

In Episode 3, D Mott and Twain G get 5 words that they respond to with the first thing that comes to mind and elaborate on some of their answers. As the guys go into detail on their answers the conversations carries on. We touch on musical influences, travel plans, Packer predictions that did not age well
D Caesar Nation is back with the first episode of the new decade. After finishing off the holiday season, the squad talks about New Years celebrations, resolutions, priorities, and old mentors turned peers.
Welcome to D Caesar Nation! In our pilot we are giving ourselves a chance to warm up to the audience. With the Holiday season coming and going, we shared a few laughs and hopefully shined some light on our personalities and chemistry that we are sure will entertain and please our listeners. As we continue to grow as a group, whether it be polishing our audio and editing skills or the content we release we are looking forward to sharing our journey with you.
