The price of freedom is great. The price of freedom in Christ was a greater price—the death of Christ. How blessed we can be with freedom in Christ.

God’s Word has much to say about change—we read change from good to bad; bad to good; redemption to rebellion and rebellion to redemption. Let’s make certain our change is for good.

Jesus’ plea at the end of a feast emphasizing the blessing of water still rings strong as a plea for all today. His invitation and provisions await all who will partake.

A question asked in confrontation is a worthy question for consideration in our study today with our aim of submitting to THE True Authority.

Throughout the scriptures, we find many characters listed only once, yet much is mentioned in a few words. Such is the case with Jabez, yet his prayer contains much to learn.

God’s Word is THE ultimate authority. It IS the Word of Truth, and it is truth that will make us free (Jn. 8:32). Let us see the value of studying, obeying, and applying the word of truth.

Think of a house/home in which one grows—the Head is there; the honor is bestowed and we must hear and listen as one grows. From the book of Hebrews we see an awesome spiritual parallel and application.

From this parable of Jesus, little children in song learn the difference in hearing and doing right. People of every age can learn valuable lessons from this wonderful teaching of Jesus.

Much is said about salvation and the word is a beautiful word, but many teachings do not agree within the pages of Scripture. Let us make certain salvation is according to the message and not mankind.

Paul acknowledged the Christ as “…He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords.” Oh, to be a servant of THE King now is a blessing.

The sacrifices of old on mankind’s behalf could never compare with the sacrifice of Christ—we can know THE sacrifice and THE High Priest who offered it for our redemption.

A standard is defined as a guide or pattern; a rule or pattern for judgment. Jesus and HIS Word is the best guide and pattern for us all.

James wrote, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…” (James 4:8). God is always near, friends, but are we drawing nigh unto Him. Closer to God, the further from the world.

One prefers gladness over sadness. How thankful that times of sadness can be followed by times of gladness. What does the Bible say about gladness and where is it found?

Historians acknowledge the uniqueness of Christ; simple believers acknowledge His greatness…but true followers acknowledge Him as deity and as the Captain of their salvation. Let us look at the Christ as the Creator and the Captain of all.

There are many who cease serving God, who will turn back to the world. If we know the problems, we can address them with solutions—scriptural solutions.

Imagine if every home was guided by the word of God—a place where the scriptures are respected and applied. Would not our homes be as God would have them?

The Hebrews writer stated “…so great a salvation…” and indeed, salvation is great and its study is worthwhile.
