Today's Promise: Lamentations 3:23 Every morning, God gives you a new start. Each day represents a new beginning of God's grace, compassion, and lovingkindness in your life. The word “lovingkindness” used in this promise means God's commitment love. No matter who you are or what you have done, you will never deplete the love God has for you. You will not push God so far that He will break his promise to you. His steadfast love and mercy will always be with you.
Lamentations 3:22–23 says this... “Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” My challenge to us today is to do two things... memorize this verse and practice this verse. Thank you Father for Your faithfulness!

What a great verse to start our day and our week. Lamentations 3:22–23: “Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” May we today, make that our focus and encourage others with it.
Jesus Christ said: "don't worry about tomorrow, each day has enough trouble of its own." its also true that each day has enough mercy to help God's people to overcome their troubles. The prophet Jeremiah, traditionally believed to be the author of Lamentations, uses these verses to remind us that even in the darkest times, God's faithfulness and compassion remain constant. The steadfast love of the Lord is a recurring theme throughout the Old Testament, emphasizing that His mercy is not just a fleeting sentiment but a perpetual promise. This love is not contingent on our actions or worthiness but is a gift from God, renewed with each dawn. The concept of God's mercies being new every morning is a powerful metaphor for the fresh start that each day brings. It is a reminder that no matter the challenges or failures of yesterday, today is an opportunity to experience God's grace anew. This declaration is not just for our benefit but also serves as a testimony to others, including our children and even our adversaries. It is a proclamation of where we stand and whom we serve. Lastly, we are reminded to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him. This focus helps us to see beyond our current trials to the hope and joy that lie ahead.

Synopsis. The heavens declare the goodness of God. Creation itself – from the smallest organisms to the expanding universe – are generative, life-supporting, and beautiful. Such a trajectory means that the guiding energy or force behind it is supportive, creative, faithful, reliable, consistent, generous, caring, and many other words that, taken together, simply boil down to one word: love. The Bible says that God is loving, so much so that it goes further to say that God is love. For those struggling to believe in a greater being, perhaps you can settle with the reverse of God is love: love is God. In light of the beautiful creation in which we live and the love of God that is energizing, guiding, and inhabiting it all, how are we to respond to such good news? Perhaps we should entrust our allegiance and our passion to following in the footsteps of Jesus who invited us to consider that such a giving of ourselves to what he was teaching would in fact save our lives. And perhaps not just our lives, but the lives of many others and the planet we call home.
God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits. It's a good thing to quietly hope for help from God.

God's mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness. I've never quite looked at the famous verses in Lamentations 3 this way before. Sure, the words are immortalized in a song we've probably all sung, but something new struck me as I talked with my friend. He was sharing how hard his day had been, and how he wasn't looking forward to going in to work the next day. (Let's face it - like we all do sometimes when it's been a difficult one). The Holy Spirit popped Lamentations 3:22-23 into our conversation and we realized that God had promised him not only mercy for today, but for tomorrow too! In today's episode I'll unpack the real meaning of the word ‘mercy' in this context. You will be deeply encouraged that God knows EXACTLY what is going on in your life, and He has a brilliant gift of mercy just waiting for you to unwrap with Him each day.
