At the beginning of his second letter, the Apostle Peter reminded us that God, in His power and love, has graciously given us everything we need to be faithful to the calling of discipleship. This walk of sacrifice is supported by the overwhelming gift of God's precious and magnificent promises. Peter then tells us that because we have such privilege and grace before us to build on our faith. He tells us that as a result of having this gift of faith, it should help us fully develop moral excellence. That moral excellence should in turn drive us towards spiritual knowledge, which feeds our ability to have self-control. Our outward manifestation of self-control should trigger powerful perseverance which in turn nourishes a godly and reverent character. This godly character produces an all-encompassing brotherly kindness which in turn develops the kind of selfless love that our Lord Jesus and our heavenly Father both have. Useless or unfruitful When these qualities are present and increasing, they keep us from becoming “useless or unfruitful” in our knowledge of Christ, but when they are absent, we become spiritually short‑sighted, forgetting the cleansing and new life Jesus provided. Complacency is a danger, and we as believers can drift into blindness or relapse into old habits when we stop climbing the ladder. Peter then re‑energizes us with a call to diligence—bookending the entire process with earnest effort in verses 5 and 10. This diligence is not frantic activity but a sincere, steady commitment to practicing these virtues so that we can keep moving forward even when we stumble. Through vivid examples, warnings and encouragements, the episode emphasizes that spiritual growth is intentional, not automatic, and that God's providence works with our effort to shape a character that reflects Christ. Ultimately, Peter assures us that if we continue developing these qualities, we will walk securely, avoid spiritual collapse and receive an abundant entrance into the eternal kingdom. A bombshell new report claims that Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Florida sent women to Jeffrey Epstein's home for years, allegedly to give him massages. The women that were sent to Epstein's home warned others about his dangerous behavior, so if this story is accurate, that means there's little to no chance that Mar-a-Lago didn't know exactly what was going on. This week, Donald Trump vetoed a bipartisan bill that would have created a pipeline to deliver clean drinking water to more than 50,000 Colorado residents. This didn't sit well with longtime Trump ally Lauren Boebert - a representative from Colorado - and she tore into the President, accusing him of vetoing the pipeline out of anger over her insistence on releasing the Epstein Files. There are a couple other reasons this likely happened, but Boebert's vote on the files certainly played a role. During a segment on Newsmax this week, Kari Lake demanded that the Department of Justice go after Donald Trump's political enemies - as if they haven't been trying, and failing, at doing that for the past year. Lake went totally off the rails in the segment, reminding everyone that she might be the most mentally unstable member of the Trump administration, even though she remains one of the most irrelevant members of the administration. MAGA fanatics who forked out $500 for a tacky "Trump Phone" nearly a year ago are going to have to wait even longer for their garbage to arrive, as the Trump Organization announced that the phones were being delayed AGAIN. This isn't the first time that the company has failed to deliver at their promised deadline, as they have pushed back the release multiple times in just the last few months. There's a chance the phones never arrive at all, and MAGA will just have to come to terms with the fact that they keep falling for such obvious swindles.Republican lawmakers know that 2026 is probably going to be a very bad year for them, and they have just one request of Donald Trump: Don't make it worse! Unfortunately, Trump isn't capable of doing that, and Republicans in Congress have now lost faith with Trump because they view him as far too "out of touch." It isn't just that he can't or won't work on economic issues, it is that he won't stop the stupid vanity projects that are angering the public while going out on tour and bragging about how great he is.The Democratic Party ended 2025 with another massive victory in an area of the country that they typically can't win in. This particular win happened in an election in Iowa, where Democrat Renee Hardman pulled off a stunning victory to prevent Republicans in the state from having a supermajority in the Senate. https://jo.my/r1ywgu Respiratory Protection & Airborne Hazards: Choosing the Right Type of Respirator Airborne hazards in a warehouse aren't always obvious. You might not see or smell them, but they're there. Dust from pallet handling. Vapors from cleaning supplies. Fumes from battery charging areas. Each hazard is different, and so is the protection you need against it. One of the top priorities of a solid Safety Culture is making sure people understand that not all respirators are the same. The type of respirator you choose must match the hazard you're facing. Using the wrong one is almost the same as using none at all. Here are a few ways to make sure you're using the proper protection: Match the respirator to the hazard. Paper dust masks may keep out nuisance dust, but they won't protect you from chemical vapors. A cartridge respirator that handles solvents won't block welding fumes. Always confirm that the respirator you're issued is designed for the exact task you're doing. Know the difference between air-purifying and supplied-air models. Air-purifying respirators filter the air around you. They work when the air has oxygen but contains contaminants. Supplied-air respirators bring in clean air from another source. Those are used when the surrounding air isn't safe to breathe at all. Pay attention to filter ratings. You've heard terms like N95 or P100. Those labels matter. They tell you how much filtration you're getting. N95 filters block at least 95 percent of airborne particles, while P100 filters block nearly all of them. Choose the one that meets the level of hazard. Only use a Self-contained Breathing Apparatus with proper training. Self-contained breathing apparatus, or SCBAs, provide complete independence from the surrounding air. They're life-saving in the right situations, but they're also complex. No one should ever use one without complete training and certification. Never share or modify respirators. Respirators are personal protective equipment, just like earplugs or gloves. Sharing one spreads germs and may cause a bad fit. Modifying one, such as taping cracks or adding parts, can make it unsafe. If it's damaged, replace it. As always, these are potential tips. Please be sure to follow the rules and regulations of your specific facility. Respirators protect one of your most vital organs: your lungs. But they only work if they're the right kind, in good condition, and used the way they were meant to be. Warehouse air can look fine but still carry invisible hazards. Choosing the right respirator is a decision that keeps you healthy not just today, but years down the road.
