It is good and necessary to revisit certain topics from time to time. We do not want to “drift away” from what we have learned previously (Hebrews 2:1). Some topics are so foundational that they affect what we believe, teach, and practice (individually and collectively). The topic of bible authority is one of these foundational topics. We will take another look at it here, perhaps in a different way to help reinforce the concept for us.

When the preacher announces his subject is Bible authority, the eyes of many glaze over. But this subject is really a matter of being good citizens of the kingdom of God, honoring and obeying the kingdom who has saved us.…

Sin is not pretty. Yes, the devil makes it that way (the Hebrew writer calls it “…passing pleasures…”), but it will cause one to miss blessings from God, suffering that is unnecessary and loss of a soul. Out study allows us to see sin and the warnings therein.
God can see us—there is nothing hidden from God. There are times we need to take a look at ourselves and our lives and ask am I pleasing to God? Am I relying on God? This broadcast allows us to answer these questions.
We can see God from His Word—He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:3-4). Let’s understand what God wants us to know and pursue those things for better living.
Every human organization looks back and respects those who worked diligently at the beginning to set the pace and make the organization what it is. Through God and Christ, the church had such individuals. Let see their faith to help OUR faith, shall we…today on the IGH. Stay tuned.
No other life gives hope than Jesus Christ…no other book tells us of that hope than the Holy Bible. Let’s grow in appreciation for such authority in this study.

How do we know how fast we can drive on the interstate? How do we get precise measurements? How do we know the value of our currency? We can know these things by guides that help us measure a proper standard. But it is not enough to appeal to a proper standard. We must also […]

Like most sinful practices, a rejection of Biblical authority begins in the heart. It begins with an attitude that disregards God's word and standards. This attitude is found in denominations and among many of God's people. Many who profess to be members of the Lord's church have adopted ungodly attitudes about Bible authority. Consider a […]
On this edition of The Virtual Bible Study we review the important topic of Bible authority. How do we establish Bible authority and why is it important?
Is the Bible to govern the church’s belief and practice or are we free to do as we choose? Most people recognize some standard of authority in their life but the source of that governance is what is in question. In today’s broadcast of Let the Bible Speak, we look at some of the […]

In our text, Peter explained that each Christian needs to be ready to give an answer for what we believe. Giving a defense for the HOPE within us requires an ability to articulate the basics of our faith. In this series, we are going to discuss some basic questions that may arise. This is to help reinforce our own faith and help prepare us to teach others as opportunities arise.
How to interpret the Bible has been a question for mankind since its completion. At present, suggestions on how the text should be approached abound; however, the most important question concerns God's expectations. Has He given a book whose interpretation is left to the discretion of the reader, or has He given instructions concerning interpretation? This study will focus on the teachings of the New Testament in relation to its interpretation. A sermon by Greg Chandler on August 7, 2022.
The Bible is unlike any other book. It makes exceptionally strong claims about God, people, and the future. But is the Bible true? Is it trustworthy?
