Podcast by Kevin and Codey
We're back! It's been a hot minute since our last podcast but God calls us to love and glorify Him! The Ohio State Buckeyes know a little somethin' about that! Yesterday was a big day in both our nation and the state of Ohio. We touch on inauguration day and where our country goes from here but also we discuss our beloved Buckeyes and what their journey, both through Football and faith, have looked like this season. Ultimately, they used their podium for God. What are we using our podiums for?
In this week's podcast, Kevin and Nate very informally discuss the best of times and the worst of times for the year, 2023. There's been some great times and some bad times, but in the end, perspective and faith supersede all and determine our years here on Earth!
In this week's podcast, Kevin and Nate talk about what they've been thankful for from this past year. The Lord has a funny way of blessing us through others and we share that this week.
For this week's episode, Nate and Kevin discuss the upcoming Election Day November 7th. We've got a couple hot-button issues ahead of us that will have some real bearing on our society and brush (or grind) against our values as followers of Jesus Christ. Issues 1 and 2 for Ohio are discussed this week and what our perspectives are on them. Attached is a copy of the Issue 1 & 2 document as well as the actual proposed amendment for Issue 1.
Colossians tells us "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." This world can be a dark place at times. Truth is, we may not want to be OF this world, but we are IN it. God has set our physical bodies here on this toil to serve him and advance him. Whether we want to be a part of or have an opinion on something like this is not up to us. What is up to us is our perspective and approach. It's important for us to have tough conversations with each other and learn about controversial issues happening IN this world so we may shed some light in an informed and Godly way. This week, we attempt to do that.
In this week's episode, Nate had a weird dream and started thinking... maybe this was something more than just a dream. Maybe he had to start delving into it more... and something else weird happened. Kevin had a dream as well. You'll just have to catch the rest in this week's Pursuit of Purpose podcast.
Good golly it's been a hot minute! 6 months later we bring to you episode 72 about Kevin and the crew's trip to Israel. It's good to be back after a long, but busy hiatus. Looking forward to talking more and glorifying God in the process!
In this week's episode, we are glad to be back together after a time away and we discuss Kevin's trip to Israel he took with some other fantastic people! A lot of Godly perspective is given by Kevin in regards to the complicated nation of Israel and its people, secular history, biblical history, and culture. THERE WILL BE ANOTHER EPISODE DEVOTED TO THIS AS THERE IS SO MUCH WE NEED TO UNRAVEL ABOUT THIS TRIP! STAY TUNED!
For this week, we get back together after quite a few weeks a part! We have A LOT of "important news" to talk about for the first half hour. For this week, us guys bring everyone what they don't want to hear from 4 dudes.... sex and intimacy. What is expected of us from our culture vs what has God laid down for us from a biblical perspective regarding this topic? Give it a listen! Big thanks to Chris Osborne for coming on for this.
This week we discuss consistency with our faith in down times. Especially in the times where it doesn't feel exciting. God has blessed us with a special guest this week. Enjoy the episode and God bless.
In this week's podcast, we are just really excited to get back at it after 2 months apart! We just talk about our lives and our summers and some of the big things that have happened. We will be back again in 2 weeks!
In this week's podcast, we discuss that sometimes, our un-voiced prayers are answered and send us on a path that God wanted us to be on to begin with!
For this track, we bring on a very special guest. She looks a little like Kevin, talks a little like Kevin, but is much wiser than Kevin! It is Nora Stuckey. We ask her a random hodgepodge of questions about her faith and the things she does because of her faith to glimpse into the beautiful and curious mind of an 8 year old. Nora answers the questions like a champ and gives us adults some wisdom that we can use in our faith.
This week we discuss the power of our words and how important it is to keep that in mind. With the news of this week we would be lacking if we did not discuss the topic of the week. Abortion...... Tough topic but one we must continue to talk about.
In this week's podcast, Kevin and Nate talk Easter/Resurrection Sunday. Jesus has given us a choice to accept him, and the catalyst for that choice is his Resurrection.
This week we talk through an analogy of Red, Yellow, & Green Light seasons of our lives. We discuss the events of our lives and how God shows himself in those times. Enjoy
In this week's podcast, we discuss a hodgepodge of items related to our wonderful church family and some initiatives that are beginning. We then switch discussion over to the obvious elephant in the room with the Russian invasion. How do we approach it as Christians?
In this week's podcast, we first discuss the Bengals and the Super Bowl for like 17 minutes. Sorry, not sorry! But if you want to skip to the real substance, go to about the 18 minute mark! We discuss the "Facade of Control." How do we view control in our lives? What does it look like? How does society tell us to feel about "control?" And ultimately, we discuss how God looks at our need for control and probably laughs! Good talk today. We will get back at it again in a couple weeks!
Stuck in a rut. Tonight we talk about some of our biggest doubts we have had towards God. Also, how we handle that and how God has either given us peace or how we are still struggling. Glad to have Codey back with us this week. Enjoy!
In this episode, we revisit some conversations we had around this time last year in regards to Fasting. The 3 week fast is coming up and a new year is upon us. Like Scott Duncan said, we should make the most of opportunities God gives us and be intentional and "go for it" in order to grow closer in relationship with each other and God.
THIS IS OUR LAST PODCAST!!!!!!........ of 2021. You will still have to listen to us when 2022 comes around. For this week's podcast, Nate and Nelson do a little reflecting of some of the events and people of the past year! Ultimately, even through bad years, God shows up in special ways and shows his love for us and will continue to do so through 2022!
In this week's episode, we discuss Challenge and Invitation. Those are two tricky words to put next to each other, but every single one of us must strike a balance between them in our everyday relationships.
For this week's podcast, we wanted to talk about being thankful and the traditions involved with Thanksgiving and why they are important to us as followers of Jesus.

For this week's episode, Kevin and Nate awake their sleepy eyes to discuss.... wait for it..... wait for it..... social media! Yes, we are going to talk about this for the 18th time but from some different perspectives. We also ask questions that we haven't necessarily addressed yet through the eyes of how Christians should view and approach social media. This is a good one folks! Give it a listen. Side note: In two weeks, we will take our podcast on the road to visit with Keith Wasserman, the founder of Good Works Inc. in Athens OH. That will definitely be one you don't want to miss! More information to come on that! God bless.
For this week's podcast, we discuss everything involving sexuality and how the roadmap to navigate this important topic is impossible to manage without the roadmap Jesus gives us.
Great roundtable this week discussing recent events regarding vaccines and mandates. It is a hot button topic we felt needed to be addressed and discussed through the light of living in Christ.
For this week's podcast, the whole crew is back together for episode 50! We talk Afghanistan and our reactions to the situation that arose a few short weeks ago and how we should approach it as Christians.

Lots of topics to come folks! Episode 50 will drop next week! Be on the lookout!
The Church is not a nightclub! Exclusivity is something we as the Church have in a lot of ways though. But are there times where we must be exclusive in order for real growth to happen in Christ for both followers of Jesus and non-followers? Tough question.... but thankfully we have the Holy Spirit (and Nelson to a much lesser extent) to help us with some semblance of an answer!
This week we are lucky to spend our time on the podcast with Tyler Ayres. It is a candid conversation about his life and where God has worked and continues to work. Enjoy the podcast.
Discussion of LGBTQ+ Revolution A beginning discussion on one of the cultural issues that has become prevalent in daily life. We hope to expand a dialogue of this matter surrounding this issue. We do not pretend to be experts, but as our culture changes it is extremely important understand what the Bible says.
Podcast 46!!! Enjoy this weeks submission for Kevin and Nelson. Developing a discipline of study in a world that doesn't want you to think and just go along with the flow.
This week we are discussing finding the elusive healthy rhythm for life. We look at our lives and how we manage our time. It is discussed how we should be resting to work instead of working to rest.
In this week's episode, we discuss the meaning of social justice and how it relates to biblical justice. Codey's viewpoints as a Law Enforcement Officer are very insightful for this topic. Ultimately, we must remember to "seek justice, love mercy, but not forget to walk with God first and foremost."
This week we have the blessing of Brian Fleming joining us for a talk around the table about Introverts in the Church. A subject that was sparked over a previous discussion between Kevin and Brain. Enjoy the podcast
In this week's podcast, Nate puts Kevin in the hot seat and plays the part of someone who has certain questions about Christianity. Any Christian has either had to answer difficult questions from people who are skeptical or curious towards Christianity. Kevin is posed a series of questions during this podcast and tries to address some basic, yet hard questions every Christian might face, or have, during their walk with Christ. Some of the answers aren't really answers, but rather might be triggers to more questions we as Christians may have about Jesus, the Church, or Kangaroos.... YUP, you heard that right. Enjoy!
This week Kevin and Nelson look into a subject that they are both interested in, Gun Control. A subject that people believe in on both sides. We simply have a discussion about some of the fears from altering opinions. We hope and pray that your minds are open and receptive to this discussion.
In this week's episode, we discuss the challenges and opportunities that have arisen during the "Great Quarantine of 2020." How has Covid effected our psyches from the start to the current moment and how has our faith been challenged, or grown through this?
In this week's podcast, we discuss those little moments in life where we feel like God is telling us something we need to hear in a moment. Through those experiences, we may grow.
First of all, we are not envious of anyone who discusses envy. Envy is a hard topic to talk about as we found out! Some of our most selfish, deepest desires are tied to our envy of others and their lives. It is the sin, that Proverbs says, "rots our bones" and kills the joy in ourselves, and more importantly, others. But through remembering that our lives should reflect our desire for Christ, instead of our desire for worldly things, Christ can rid us of it.
In this week's podcast, we explore "falling from grace." There was a recent revelation about a prominent world-renowned preacher. We discuss how do we view, and how do we feel like "we must view" someone who was a great teacher but also someone who hurt many people? Complicated topic, but hopefully some perspectives from this episode will make you think and pray on it! Have a great week!
In this week's episode, we get the "Professor"/"Doctor"/All around Great Dude Brian Fleming onto the podcast to discuss two things: His story, which by the way, is amazing.... like him, and also today's Cancel Culture and the dangers to us and how it affects us as Christians! Remember that our podcast can be found on Soundcloud and iTunes. Tell your friends to like, listen, and subscribe!
In this week's fun-filled episode, we go with an idea Codey had of telling about our favorite bible stories. Lay back and enjoy some good old fashioned storytime and Chuck Norris jokes! All we're missing is a warm fire and a rocking chair! And believe it or not, there is also some really good substance in this week's episode as well! God Bless!
In this week's podcast, we discuss the "Noise" in our lives. Why do we allow noise from society and our culture to interfere with our relationship with God? How can we allow silence, discipline, and stillness in our lives in order to slow down and just listen? We discuss that and other things including BIGFOOT! Listen in!
For this week's podcast, we want to shout out some of our mentors who have helped shaped us as men and brought us closer to God and showed us what it means to walk with Christ. There were no tears shed from grown men in this podcast..... mostly... We also discuss the 21 Day Fast and some of the perspectives we have already gained from it in its short time of being implemented.
In this week's podcast, we cover a plethora of subjects. Somehow we manage to fit in Adam Sandler, Robots, Nature, Fasting for 21 days, and everything in between. But eventually we settle on the topic of "Happy Places." Where do we go (physically or spiritually) to find fulfillment?
Whatever you think about yesterday's events at the Capitol building, we must all remember who to turn our hearts and minds to. Tonight, we talk about the current situation. Where do we go from here as Christians? How do we bring light to a dark time?
For this week's podcast, we are BACK! After a couple weeks hiatus, Nelson, Kevin, Codey, and Nate are back to talk about some of the topics discussed so far in the podcast since this is episode "Numero treinta" (Number 30)! There is plenty of reflecting and laughing in this episode. Definitely worth a listen! The best part?? CODEY PRAYS IN PUBLIC AT THE END!!!!
This week Jason Bohl is our guest and we have a wonderful discussion. In this time of turmoil we must ask ourselves are we informed by fear of formed by faith. Thank you for listening. Have a great Thanksgiving!!
