Proof is a new investigative true crime podcast from Susan Simpson of Undisclosed and the producers of Evil Lives Here. On an October night in 1996, a gunshot rattles the walls of a double-wide trailer on the outskirts of Rome, Georgia. 15-year-old Brian Bowling is laying on the floor of his room, head bleeding from a gunshot wound. By the next morning, Brian is dead. Investigators quickly conclude that Brian’s wound was self-inflicted, the tragic result of teenage bravado. And yet within six months, two friends are arrested and accused of plotting to kill Brian. Cain Joshua Story and Darrell Lee Clark are convicted and sentenced to life in prison, where they remain today. An evil teenage plot? A horrible tragic accident? Or, a blatant miscarriage of justice? In this first season of PROOF, Susan Simpson and Jacinda Davis drive the back roads of Rome, searching for the truth.
The Proof: A True Crime Podcast is an absolute gem in the world of true crime podcasts. From the moment I started listening, I was hooked and found myself eagerly anticipating each new episode. Susan and her team have truly outdone themselves with this season, providing all the details and investigation updates that true crime enthusiasts crave. Gone are the days of dreading Mondays, as now I count down the days until the next episode drops. The dedication and passion that Susan and her team bring to this podcast is evident in every episode, and I am incredibly grateful for all that they do.
One of the best aspects of The Proof: A True Crime Podcast is its ability to provide a clear and concise narrative. Susan has a knack for getting straight to the point without sacrificing any important details. The podcast is easy to follow, even for those who may be newer to true crime podcasts. Additionally, Susan's research skills are second to none, ensuring that listeners are provided with accurate information and a well-rounded understanding of the case at hand. It's apparent that she genuinely cares about the victims and their stories.
In terms of constructive criticism, some listeners have mentioned finding it difficult to follow one of the co-host's voice. While this may be subjective, it's worth noting that personal preferences can vary when it comes to podcast hosts' voices. However, it's important to recognize that aside from this minor complaint, The Proof: A True Crime Podcast truly shines in every other aspect.
In conclusion, The Proof: A True Crime Podcast is a must-listen for any true crime fan. Susan and her team have created an engaging, informative, and compassionate podcast that stands out amongst a sea of similar shows. Their commitment to thorough research and dedication in telling these stories is commendable. I eagerly await each new episode with anticipation and know that many others feel the same way. Thank you, Susan and team, for your incredible work on this podcast.
