Ravel Morrison joins the podcast this week, and might just be the most surprising guest we have ever had on Undr The Cosh. Ravel lifts the lid on the lies, rumours, and misconceptions so many people have about him and why he never lived up to his potential. From a young age, Ravel had eyes on him as he came through the ranks at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, where he was widely regarded as the best talent in the academy. With a dressing room full of world-class professionals like Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, and Cristiano Ronaldo, it's hard to understand why so much of that talent went unfulfilled. Despite his raw ability, Sam Allardyce managed to get glimpses of his best including that unforgettable goal against Tottenham but after agent disputes, he was forced out the door and once again labelled a “bad egg.” After moving abroad, Ravel hit the lowest point in his career under Simone Inzaghi at Lazio before rediscovering his love for football playing in Mexico. And of course, in true Undr The Cosh fashion, we get the full story behind his obsession with tuna, the infamous incident involving Lee Clark's pond, and why Gary Neville once lost it and smashed his phone. Ravel opens up about the people who lied about him, his beef with Zaha and explains exactly where things went wrong and why a player with his level of talent never fulfilled his full potential. A woman sneaks along mansion grounds, seeking entry to the house to get revenge on the evil old man living there. But her memory is wrapped in darkness. Is she doing the right thing?Lee Clark Zumpe, an entertainment columnist with Tampa Bay Newspapers, earned his bachelor's in English at the University of South Florida. He began writing poetry and fiction in the early 1990s. His work has regularly appeared in a variety of literary journals and genre magazines over the last two decades. Lee lives on the west coast of Florida with his wife and daughter. Lee's inclination toward horror manifested itself early in his childhood when he began flipping through the pages of Forrest J. Ackerman's Famous Monsters of Filmland and reading Gold Key Comic classics like Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery and Grimm's Ghost Stories. In his teenage years, he discovered Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Ambrose Bierce, Richard Matheson and other masters of the genre. In 2015, I suffered from poor Type 1 diabetes control which lead me to become legally blind for almost a year. The doctors didn't give me much hope, predicting an 80% chance that I would never see again. But I refused to give up and changed my lifestyle drastically. Through sheer willpower (and an amazing eye surgeon) I beat the odds and regained my vision. During that difficult time, I couldn't read or write, which was devastating as they had always been a source of comfort for me since childhood. However, my wife took me to the local library where she read out the titles of audiobooks to me. I selected some of my favorite books, such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter, and more, and the audiobooks brought these stories to life in a way I had never experienced before. They helped me through the darkest period of my life and I fell in love with audiobooks. Once I regained my vision, I decided to pursue a career as an audiobook narrator instead of a writer. That's why I created Tall Tale TV, to support aspiring authors in the writing communities that I had grown to love before my ordeal. My goal was to help them promote their work by providing a promotional audio short story that showcases their writing skills to readers. They say the strongest form of advertising is word of mouth, so I offer a platform for readers to share these videos and help spread the word about these talented writers. Please consider sharing these stories with your friends and family to support these amazing authors. Storey initially claimed that Bowling shot himself while playing a game, however, he later falsely confessed to shooting Bowling, and was subsequently convicted of his murder. During the investigation, 17-year-old Daryl “Lee” Clark also became a suspect as the state believed that he acted as an accomplice who helped kill Bowling to exact revenge for an unrelated event. Despite evidence supporting the fact that Bowling accidentally shot himself, and Storey's assertion that Clark was not present on the night in question, false testimony led to Clark's conviction and ultimate life sentence. We're on our penultimate episode for our reading of Jack Bickham's Scene and Structure. So, what does the bullet point Meister have to squeeze into an end of a book that 90% of its readers will probably never get to?Well, first we give ourselves a little pep talk and then we see if we can make sense of all of these specialized scene situations. And, dear listener, there are a lot of them: interrupted scenes and sequels, non-viewpoint character scenes, flashback scenes, scenes with all-dialog, or all-action or unseen opponents or multiple agendas. After all that high level specialization, we stepped back and take stock of the eminently practical lessons that we've learned from reading Bickham. Also in this episode we interview authors Val Neil, Lee Clark, and Nick Chiarkas about how they keep their readers engaged in their novels. Want to hear more of our exercise workshop? Although many hearing and sighted people imagine DeafBlind life in tragic terms, as an experience of isolation and darkness, the poet John Lee Clark's writing is full of joy. It's funny and surprising, mapping the contours of a regular life marked by common pleasures and frustrations. Clark, who was born Deaf and lost his sight at a young age, has established himself not just as a writer and translator but as a scholar of Deaf and DeafBlind literature. His new collection, “How to Communicate,” includes original works and translations from American Sign Language and Protactile. He speaks with the contributor Andrew Leland, who is working on a book about his own experience of losing his sight in adulthood.

In 2015, poor control of my diabetes left me legally blind for the better part of a year. The doctors predicted an 80% chance I would never see again, but I changed the way I was living and through sheer willpower beat the odds. During this time I couldn't read or write. Two things that I had been turning to for comfort since I was a small child. With the sheer amount of stress I was under, this was devastating. My wife took me by the arm, lead me into the local library, and read out titles of audiobooks to me. I chose the audiobook versions of books I had loved such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter, and more. They brought my favorite stories to life in ways I never thought possible and helped me through the darkest time of my life. Once my vision recovered, I maintained a love for audiobooks. I decided I would turn my focus from being a writer to becoming a narrator. I devised Tall Tale TV as a way to help out all the amazing authors in the writing communities I had come to love before my ordeal. I created Tall Tale TV to help aspiring authors by providing them with a promotional audiobook video. A way to showcase their skills with the written word. After last weeks chat with Darius Charles, we stay on the football theme with another ex Professional footballer, Robbie Elliott. Robbie had almost two decades as a professional footballer, playing over 140 times for his beloved Newcastle United and over 250 appearances in total, which also included spells at Sunderland, Leeds, Hartlepool and an eventful four years at Bolton Wanderers. Over his career, he' worked under some iconic managers including Ossie Ardiles, Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish, Sam Allardyce and Sir Bobby Robson and we chat about all of those managers and the twists and turns Robbie had across his career and his learning from that. I met Robbie first when he was working for the Nike research lab and he's forged a career in sports technology, innovation and performance since his retirement. All of that we will chat about in part two next week, but as we sat outside the bustling Westfield shopping centre in West London, we started with Robbie's time in the Newcastle academy and how that compares to the modern-day set-up.Show Notes: Southampton Football Club - https://www.southamptonfc.com/Alan Shearer - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_ShearerGateshead Stadium - https://www.gogateshead.com/article/5829/Gateshead-International-StadiumNewcastle Football Club - https://www.nufc.co.uk/Ossie Ardiles - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osvaldo_ArdilesYTS - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youth_Training_SchemeAlan Thompson - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Thompson_(footballer,_born_1973)Lee Clark - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Clark_(footballer)Steve Watson - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_WatsonJim Smith - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Smith_(footballer,_born_1940)Middlesborough Football Club - https://www.mfc.co.uk/Bobby Saxton - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_SaxtonRoy Aitken - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_AitkenJohn Burridge - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_BurridgeACL Injury - https://mayocl.in/3MuoxcMLilleshall - https://www.lilleshallnsc.co.uk/nsc/ Kevin Keegan - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_KeeganNewcastle promotion against Grimsby - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNk_W6CFJKwRob Lee - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_LeeJohn Beresford - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Beresford_(footballer)Les Ferdinand - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_FerdinandDavid Ginola - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_GinolaBrian Kilcline - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_KilclineKevin Sheedy - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Sheedy_(Irish_footballer)David Kelly - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Kelly_(association_footballer)Steve Howey - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Howey_(footballer)Faustino Asprilla - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faustino_AsprillaBarry Venison - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_VenisonPeter Beardsley - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_BeardsleyDavid Batty - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_BattyZone Of Optional Function - https://bit.ly/3Nk3YzDKenny Dalglish - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_DalglishAlex Ferguson - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_FergusonPLC - https://bit.ly/3wuJKMUBolton Wanderers Football Club - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolton_Wanderers_F.C.Steve Black - https://bit.ly/38woNJmEarl Barrett - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_BarrettMichael Appleton - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_AppletonColin Todd - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_ToddSam Allardyce - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_AllardyceCharlie Brown - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_BrownMLS - https://www.mlssoccer.com/Arsene Wenger - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ars%C3%A8ne_WengerSir Bobby Robson - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_RobsonFreddie Shepherd - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddy_ShepherdNorthumbria University - https://www.northumbria.ac.uk/Bike for Bobby - https://bit.ly/3wlhNYZ=More About Robbie Elliott:Twitter - https://twitter.com/robbieelliott3?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5EauthorLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/robbie-elliott-6971383b/Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robbie_ElliottListen & Subscribe to The Ben Ryan Podcast:Ben's Website - http://benryan.co.uk/bio/Apple Podcasts - https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-ben-ryan-podcast/id1553400216Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/3iUL1eLA7HFKt5gxO7Uf4j?si=oN9YN6uFRSSGbO6kR01ONQAmazon Music - https://amzn.to/3shGDnOTuneIn - http://tun.in/pkdsmBen On Social:Follow me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2Z5QSitFollow me on Twitter - https://bit.ly/3ph5W7oFollow me on LinkedIn - https://bit.ly/3ah8FtvRead about me - https://amzn.to/2NLu0Ck
