Culture is one of the factors that shape us growing up. The role of it in our lives has a great impact on our morals and values. For Trish, she learned that her traits and dealing with relationships were heavily influenced by the environment she grew up with. Being aware of it motivated her to improve herself and set a good example for her children. Now, she's doing the same thing to others by encouraging them to be their best authentic selves using her podcast as a medium. For today's episode, I had the pleasure of talking to the host of StrongTalk podcast and my co-host in Clubhouse, Trish Nancoo. She shared about how her podcast made her become open about herself, her relationships with her children, and how other people resonate with her story. She also gave advice to her younger self and to others about resiliency and self-awareness. According to Nelson Mandela, education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. We grew up knowing education the traditional way; going to classroom, reading books, writing thesis, etc. What most people fail to realize is it's more than just learning through textbooks and being in school. Being an educator, Nancy identified that there is a gap in the education system: business and financial literacy gap. After learning that there is no formal education for both, she decided to pivot and build a consulting space and teach about innovation and entrepreneurship. She created an organization that focuses on business and leadership skills, business finance and teaching strategies to improve the business. Now, she is growing her consulting agency, Strategic Solutions LLC and helps scale and sustain other people's businesses through BLAC Model. For this episode, I am honored to talk to Nancy and discuss her growing company, the reason why she wants to help youth, her thoughts about why businesses fail and how she helps business owners to gain clarity and scale the business Follow me on Instagram and Join my Workshop and Meditation Membership! Racial discrimination is one of the problems prevalent in the world and occur on a daily basis. Being treated differently because of skin color, race and ethnicity is morally wrong. It's currently happening, and it will continue to happen in the future if we do not step up and act against it. For Sandra, she found a way on how she can help support and contribute to the community by building a brand that empowers Black people. It all started when she looked for something that represents what she wants to wear in her area but found nothing. So, she created one for herself and now, she's making it for other people who believes in what she's also fighting for - Black empowerment. In this episode, I had the chance to talk to Sandra and share her humble beginnings and how a social media post from a kid who promoted her clothing became viral and known by lots of people. She also talked through building an empowerment brand and how one can support and fight racism.
