The Caving Podcast is a must-listen for anyone who is fascinated by the world of caving. Hosted by an experienced news person and avid caver, this podcast provides a unique combination of interesting stories and informative data. The host's ability to conduct a great interview is commendable, as he allows the guests to speak and guides the conversation sparingly. The guests being interviewed are true legends in the sport of caving, equivalent to the first mountaineers to summit Mount Everest. The technological advances that have allowed for the exploration of big caves are discussed, giving listeners a glimpse into how these discoveries have shaped the sport over time.

As someone who grew up in southern Indiana cave country, I was excited to delve into this podcast and learn more about the extreme nature of cave expeditions. The interviews take you deep into the caves and into the mindset of these legendary cavers, instilling a deep respect for their bravery and dedication. Many of the guests are older individuals who share details they may not have revealed when they were younger, showcasing a greater understanding of emotions as they age. These interviews provide invaluable historical accounts that will be cherished in years to come.

One minor criticism I have is that the volume could be slightly higher. As someone with hearing problems, I sometimes struggle to hear at full volume through my Bluetooth headset. Additionally, it would be helpful if there were more tags or keywords associated with this podcast on platforms like Apple Podcasts. Searching for terms like "cave" or "caver" did not yield results, so improving the searchability could attract more listeners.

In conclusion, The Caving Podcast is an entertaining and educational series that captivates both seasoned cavers and those curious about this unique sport. With its great storytelling and engaging personality, it fills a void in the online space dedicated to caving content. I highly recommend subscribing to this addictive show as it continues to grow and feature cavers from various locations. Kudos to the host for providing such high-quality production and content. I eagerly anticipate each new episode and look forward to what the future holds for this podcast.

The Out of Bounds Grotto is a caving club that was created for the 21st century–a virtual grotto that brings together cavers from across the country for the love of exploration, conservation, and the sport of caving with no geographic constraints. Tally founded the grotto with these things in mind and, as you'll hear, is a tireless volunteer for many of the causes cavers care about. She's also working to improve the caving experience for women who might otherwise have concerns about sexual harassment in what is still a very male-dominated world.Out of Bounds Grottohttps://outofboundsgrotto.org/Tickets to Floyd Collins: The Musical at SKyPAC in Bowling Green, KY 3/8/25https://www.theskypac.com/event/ramsey-theatre-company-presents-floyd-collins-the-musical/Order a custom cave suit from our sponsor, Sophireaptress!https://www.sophireaptress.com/Custom Cave Survey Pageshttps://www.customcavepages.com/Find your local grotto!https://caves.org/committee/i-o/grottos/new_grotto_page-v2.shtml
