On this episode of The U16 Pod, Connor and Ryan recap some more U16 playoff action, as a couple leagues headed into the March Break, while the Alliance has their first round underway, and the GTHL's regular season is coming to a close shortly. We also feature 4 outstanding interviews with several top prospects for the 2022 OHL Draft in Antonio Tersigni from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, Braydon McCallum and Marek Vanacker from the Brantford 99ers, and Nick DiPaolo from the Blyth Academy Bruins!
On this episode of The U16 Pod, Ryan and Connor each had a busy weekend, with Ryan taking a trip to Ottawa to take in some HEO Quarterfinal action, and checking out some ETA Playoffs on the trip back. While Connor spent Saturday at Westwood Arena taking in a full slate of GTHL games, and catching some SCTA Playoff action the Sunday and Wednesday! In addition to attending these games, we had 3 outstanding interviews with 3 players who have tremendous seasons thus far and had great performances in the GTHL Top Prospects game. We spoke with, Forward Jack Van Volsen from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, Defenceman Justin Huynh from the Mississauga Sens, and Defenceman Rowan Topp from the North York Rangers.
On this episode of The U16 Pod, we review the GTHL Top Prospects Game which took place March 1st. We also have three phenomenal interviews. We have Quinten Lisle (forward who played in the GTHL Top Prospects Game from the Mississauga Senators), Tate Vader (forward from the Huron Perth Lakers), and Callum Cheynowski (defenceman with the Southern Tier Admirals). We also reviewed the first week and a half of the playoffs from a couple different leagues, the SCTA and ETA.

On this episode of The U16 Pod, we previewed the second half of the Eastern Triple A (ETA) league out of the OMHA. We highlighted teams set for a big second half and potential playoff run, as well as players to watch who will likely be impactful for their teams down the stretch. We also talked to three outstanding prospects: Forward Ethan Procyszyn from the North Central Predators, Defenceman Frankie Marrelli from the Markham Waxers, and Goaltender Jacob Brown from the Greater Kingston Jr. Gaels.

As part of our second half preview series, we continue the series with the SCTA league out of the OMHA. We discussed what to expect from the different SCTA teams, and the top players to watch out for in the second half of the season. We were fortunate enough to have three great interviews for this episode with: Parker Forlin (Niagara North Stars), Hudson Gill (Burlington Eagles), and Finn Wilson (Niagara North Stars).

In this Christmas Eve episode, we talk to 2 standout players who's teams made the final of the Waterloo Gold Puck Tournament. We talk to Forward Josh Lepain from the Championship winning Windsor Jr. Spitfires, and Defenceman Aidan Renaud from the Finalist Don Mills Flyers. We also recapped the rest of that tournament with the games we were able to catch at the tournament, as well as any other games the past week and a bit before the Winter Break!

We also discussed our standout players for the remaining four tournament groups.

In addition to those, we recap the week that was in scores and games we had the chance to attend, as well as provide a recap of the Kitchener Blueline Tournament that took place last weekend.

We recap a couple tournaments that happened over the last week. 1 in Barrie and the other called the Clash in the YGK in Kingston. Connor and Ryan talk to four standout performers after the first tournaments of the year. Ethan Toms of the Quinte Red Devils and Jacob Therrien of the Clarington Toros hopped on to talk about their game, and the Wendy Dufton Memorial Tournament in London. In our other interviews, we had players who battled it out in the final of the Sylvia Jacobs Fall Memorial Tournament in Markham.
