Tripp & Diana were pumped to have Tim Whitaker from The New Evangelicals join us for this edition of Ruining Dinner and our upcoming open online class - Faith and Politics for the Rest of Us. Our contemporary public square is increasingly chaotic, toxic, and repulsive. Yet, our challenges as a people, nation, and species are growing. The rise of Christian Nationalism repulses a growing number of Christians who have a hard time thinking and speaking from a more vibrant theological vision. We are bringing together several alternative theo-political visions to introduce a multiplicity of vibrant, yet neglected traditions in public theology. With the help of some of the most powerful voices in the academy, participants will be introduced to these traditions and get to put them into action as we wrestle with our present moment, discovering the potential for an alternative public Christian witness. In a time where the public square is increasingly tribal and algorithmically addicted to outrage, over-simplification, and performative politics, a tour of these rich yet neglected theological traditions can inspire and fund a more vibrant Christian voice in the public square as we seek to embody the love of neighbor to which we are called. This class is donation based (including 0), so join the fun and tell your friends:) www.FaithAndPolitics.net Come hang out with us at Theology Beer Camp, Oct. 17-19 in Denver. Hyperpigmentation. It's a topic you've likely heard about either from your own experience, hearing a friend complain about it or after a pregnancy. Christine has personally dealt with both melasma and hyperpigmentation since her early 30s when she started hormonal fertility treatments. Then with each pregnancy over the past decade it became worse. Christine tried many skincare brands and in office treatments to cure her hyperpigmentation and nothing seemed to make a dent. Enter model, actress, entrepreneur, podcast host, author, mom and beauty enthusiast Molly Sims. She is also the founder and chief creative officer of YSE Beauty. As with everything she does, she brings her authentic stuff to this brand because she also struggled with her own skin for decades. From cystic acne in her 20s to sun damage, hyperpigmentation and melasma in my 30s and 40s. Molly spent too many years dependent on her concealer. This led her to create a YSE Beauty, a product that was effective and simple for the woman on the run, not to mention the beautiful packaging. Since it is the season of sun and sun damage, Molly is here to share her journey to healthy skin: 1:30 Molly's childhood in kentucky and leading to modeling 2:30 Molly's role model 4:00 how molly celebrated her “30th birthday” with a new goal 6:30 why she threw a big birthday bash in Africa 10:45 how Molly keeps up with her kids at 50 years old 12:22 Molly's plan to keep her kids off drugs and make good decisions 13:00 The benefits of kids playing team sports and what they learn 14:00 Values of kids participating in individual sports 15:00 Molly talks about her podcast lipstick on the rim 18:30 why Molly launched YSE beauty 20:00 Molly's personal skin struggles with hyperpigmentation 22:00 Molly's skin turning point and what she did to resolve her hyperpigmentation 24:15 how her skin struggles lead to her to help women with the same issues 25:30 transinemic acid benefits 26:50 why our skins need vitamin c 27:30 women don't want stinky cream and what she created instead 29:20 why glowing skin comes from skincare not makeup 31:00 why dry skin is actually what's making you look older 32:00 the benefits of a gel oil cleanser 33:00 the community she's building with her brand YSE 36:00 YSE is cool girl clinical 39:20 Molly's philosophy about aging and feeling good 42:10 Molly's best piece of self love advice Connect with Molly Shop https://www.ysebeauty.com/ Learn https://www.mollysims.com/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mollybsims/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/MollySimsOfficial/ YouTube https://www.youtube.com/mollysims Connect with Christine Instagram https://www.instagram.com/christinebullock/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ChristineBullockFitness Pinterest https://www.pinterest.com/chrissybullock/_created/ Text Christine 1-310-361-8697 Sponsored by Kayo Body Care Kayo Body Care was the first to create Face Grade Body Care® products. There are countless ways to launch a celebrity-founded skin-care brand nowadays. One can partner with an incubator (à la Peyton List and Pley Beauty), build a company within the framework of a larger conglomerate (i.e., Fenty Beauty and Rihanna with Kendo, or JVN and Jonathan Van Ness with Amyris) — or, you can build from the ground up. Some of the most successful celebrity-founded brands were birthed from the final option. They include Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez and Rhode by Hailey Bieber. Molly Sims has taken a somewhat hybrid approach to create her new skin-care line, YSE Beauty. She built her own team, tapping veterans from brands like Dr. Barbara Sturm and Poosh. However, she brought in a partner in the business, too —formulation expert and founder of SOS Beauty Charlene Valledor, who has created products for brands including Shani Darden and Patrick Ta. YSE Beauty is launching with six products, all focused on addressing hyperpigmentation, which became a major concern for Sims in her 40s — Sims will turn 50 in May. Sims has been working on the brand and its product development for the past three years, but she's been enmeshed in the beauty space for much longer. She has a weekly beauty podcast — "Lipstick On The Rim," which launched in 2021 — plus she's published beauty content on her shoppable blog, Mollysims.com, for the past seven years. Of course, she's also gained valuable beauty experience through her modeling and acting careers. The latest Pop Edition of the Glossy Beauty Podcast features Sims discussing the development of YSE.
Actress and mega-influencer Molly Sims joins Gwen and Travis to chat about her just-launched skincare line YSE and the skin issues that led her to create the line.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

My Ain't No Big Thing radio show (http://djshmeejay.com/aint-no-big-thing-radio-show/), broadcast on the 2nd and 4th Thursday monthly at 8pm (gmt) / 11pm (EST) at http://BoxFrequency.FM. This episode I host the third installment, Early-Mid 90s Crossover Mix, of Yse Saint Laur'Ant's (YSE) three part mix series where he explores a semi-biographical history of the mellow/emotive house sound. Part 1, "Soho Radio Balearic History 80s - 90s Mix" can be found over on Silver Bear Recording's SoundCloud page. Part 2 "How I Remember House Pt.2 (Bar and Balearic from the early 90's)" was presented here this summer. This third installment is YSE's "Early-Mid 90s Crossover Mix" followed by musical ruminations. For the rest of YSE's series you can find part 1 here: https://soundcloud.com/silver-bear-recordings/yse-saint-laurant-balearic-mix And part 2 here: https://soundcloud.com/oloffolo/yse-saint-laurant-dj-shmeejay-aint-no-big-thing-2015-07-23 You can find much more of YSE at: https://soundcloud.com/yse http://discogs.com/artist/Yse http://www.facebook.com/ysemusic A hyper linked track list of my set can be found over on my blog: http://djshmeejay.com/2015/10/23/yse-saint-laurant-and-dj-shmeejay-aint-no-big-thing-radio-show-2015-10-22/ and If you want a copy of just YSE's set you can grab it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/02p8pnoa3848zxq/YSE%27s%2090s%20Rave%20Crossover%20DJ%20Mix%20For%20Ain%27t%20No%20Big%20Thing%20%282%29.mp3?dl=0 Next show will be on Thursday November 12, 2015, featuring another guest that will be announced a couple of days before the show. My Ain't No Big Thing radio show (http://djshmeejay.com/aint-no-big-thing-radio-show/), broadcast on the 2nd and 4th Thursday monthly at 8pm (gmt) / 11pm (EST) at http://BoxFrequency.FM. This episode I host Yse Saint Laur'Ant (YSE), a non-smoking, 5'11", spotlight-avoiding music producer, crate digger, occasional DJ but all-round music aficionado, currently living in Hong Kong. YSE enjoys nicely syncopated rhythms, heavy melodies, outgoing quirkiness and a quality glass of cheap Brandy and Coke - hold the ice. At weekends, likes to lead a more refined lifestyle, with his current favorite stench being anything by YSE Saint Laur'Ant or Paraíso. Bangs out music as one half of Matlock super duo Rhythm Plate so comes with a bit of history, mostly spanning 20+ years of DJing in clubs (was the only legal way of getting in!) and 17+ years of music releasing and remixing for numerous labels and artists; but don't let that put you off. YSE have provided part 2 in a three part mix series where he explores a semi-biographical history of the mellow/emotive house sound. Part 1, "Soho Radio Balearic History 80s - 90s Mix" can be found over on Silver Bear Recording's SoundCloud page (https://soundcloud.com/silver-bear-recordings/yse-saint-laurant-balearic-mix). This mix is "How I Remember House Pt.2 (Bar and Balearic from the early 90's)", and will be followed by a Part 3, "Early-Mid 90s Crossover Mix" on my 'Ain't No Big Thing show on October 22 of this year. You can find much more of YSE at: https://soundcloud.com/yse http://discogs.com/artist/Yse http://www.facebook.com/ysemusic A hyper linked track list of my set can be found over on my blog: http://djshmeejay.com/2015/07/24/yse-saint-laurant-and-dj-shmeejay-aint-no-big-thing-radio-show-2015-07-23/ and If you want a copy of just YSE's set you can grab it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q2aiof5p7tkuuji/YSE%27s%20Balearic-Early%2090s%20House%20Mix%20For%20Ain%27t%20No%20Big%20Thing%20%281%29.mp3?dl=0 Next show will be on Thursday August 13, 2015, featuring another guest that will be announced a couple of days before the show.
