GenZ Brianna Cea, founded Generation Vote to get GenZs and Millennials involved in the political process. One of the big focus is on voter suppression which has been targeted toward young people by taking away places to vote on college campuses and not accepting certain voter IDs. Generation Vote is now located in New York and Florida but will be branching out to involve more young people in other states. At age 9, Katie Stagliano grew a cabbage that weighed over 40 lb. She took it to a shelter where it was prepared and served to over 200 people. That set Katie on fire and she started a garden with various vegetables to feed more people who were food insecure. Katie, now in her early twenties, has started kids from 9-16 all over the country growing food to help those in need. And, is branching out to other countries. Katie is typical of Gen Z's determination and entrepreneurial spirit.

When he saw the people in Venezuela, suffering under the dictatorship there, it touched John Miles, a digital entrepreneur. He partnered up with another entrepreneur and they decided the best way to help was to find a way to employ these educated, talented and hard-working people. He also paid them in US dollars because the Venezuelan currency would lose it's value very quickly and people could not provide for themselves and their families. He came up with the idea for iWorker, which pairs talent like web design, social media skills, etc. to business who need these skills. Soon he had 7,000 companies on board and over 350 skilled workers, some of whom are now employed by these companies as regular employees via Zoom. His work enabled many of the workers to leave Venezuela to the safety of other countries to live a safe and normal life.

SQuire Rushnell ( yes the Q is supposed to be capitalized), coined the word, "Godwinks" which is now in the dictionary and means events and happenings that have no logical explanaton other than coming from a spiritual force. Based on that he wrote a series of books telling about the many Godwinks happening for people who had sent him their stories. He also along with his actress wife created Hallmark Godwink movies and is now creating inspirational cards and other products based on those wonderful unexplained happenings. This will help you remember the Godwinks in your own life because they are there.

He created Slumcode as a place where education, entrepreneurship and the ability to be sustainable could be taught to change the circumstances of children, youth and women. She was the only female, person of color in the executive suite.When they executives went to a meeting and after went to look at BMW cars, Cleo, who was in the market for a car for her son, realized that she couldn't buy him one because as a young black male he would be at risk of being stopped.Putting all of this together Cleo wrote some powerful books to wake people up and started History Matters Institute and now travels all over the country helping people understand what really went on and is still going on for the African-American community. When Katie was a teacher in a poorer area she found out that her students never owned a bike, something she loved from her own childhood. And, for these children, the bike was a means of escape from an abusive home and a chance to see friends for support and a chance to experience joy in an otherwise dismal world. She contacted a bike manufacturer, did social media and got invited on all major news networks and the Steve Harvey Show. Going Places was off and running and now every year there is a new bike with cool colors and a cooler name. Plus Katie has done it again and gotten Halloween costumes for kids who never had them. Steven Sedylmayr is a serial entrepreneur with many patents under his belt. But when he went to buy a water filter for his family he realized that while pure water is necessary it's in short supply. Bottled water was often not pure and the filtration systems didn't do what they were supposed. He developed a system that gives water that is 100% free of contaminants, this based on results from several independent laboratories. Divinia Water is the only one so far to fit into that category. He has now developed water purification systems that can be used by cities and states so people have contaminant free water.His gave up a lot to do this and you will be inspired by everything he had to overcome.

Abeer Seikaly, is an architect living in Jordan. She has designed portable huts woven of natural wool which keeps out rain, wind, sand and keeps the temperature constant. to make sure these huts would work, Abeer took one to Mt. Everest and spent a night which proved there would work they way they were designed. The designs are being reviewed and produced to help the huge refugee population in the area.

Pivot helps young people ages 12-24 with housing, counseling, food, staying in school, job training and everything any one of them needs. They have a peer teen group which also works with them. Their point of view is when a young person acts out they don't need punishment, they need empowerment and a place to learn skills which is working so well that participants who have been helped stay in touch and keep the team updated. Pivot has even gone as far as making sure kids know how to contact them by having stores, libraries, fire departments, police, churches, etc. know about their programs. Plus they keep expanding and offering new kinds of support.

As part of the Center for Citizenship and Social Responsibility, at Medford High, Emily McDaid founded Common Ground. She began it because she became aware there were whole groups of students not meeting and interacting with one another. One of the groups was students with disabilities. She felt that students should be segregated and all should know one another. She also felt that students with disabilities were being left out of sports and student activities and she worked out ways they would be included thus changing student life for everyone. Kelin Mark, principal of 7 & 8 grades decided that the young men in his high school needed exposure to a different way of thinking if they were going lead productive lives. He borrowed from a friends book, Young Men of Purpose and started a program teaching students how to interact with teachers, family, each other and what appropriate behavior was. He also had them dress in shirt and tie and took them to various college campuses so they could see what they could have if they applied themselves. He also taught them critical thinking, which he had found lacking. He is turning out successful, conscious, young men who apply critical thinking to make good choices.

An former combat Marine, Bryan was a co-found of Veteran's Community Project. All of the founders are combat Marines. Their commitment is that no matter what a veteran needs they will find a way to connect them with a resource or help develop one. They never turn any veteran away. They have also built 75 tiny homes for homeless veterans and are moving into other cities to do the same kinds of service. Part of their mission is to integrate veterans into the community and the community into the veterans so there is inclusion and understanding.
