The Winning Post crew preview the weekend in Australian racing.

This week, Caulfield hosts the final Group 1 of theMelbourne spring, with Jimmysstar and Angel Capital facing off the in the $1 million C.F. Orr Stakes. The NSW action switches to Newcastle for the $1 million Hunter, while it's Keith Noud day at Doomben. Out west, we tune up for the Perth Pinnacles carnival with five black-type races including the $500,000 Placid Ark Stakes.

This week, a superb Flemington carnival concludes with three magnificent weight-for-age Group 1s featuring the stars ofAustralian racing: Via Sistina, Pride Of Jenni, Mr Brightside, Ceolwulf, Joliestar, Giga Kick, Tentyris and more. Sydney racing returns to Rosehill for Five Diamonds day andPerth racing builds towards the Pinnacles carnival.

A big team of raiders has arrived to take on Half Yours and co in what promises to be the wettest Melbourne Cup in years. Who will prevail? No surprise that Joel's tipping a $34 pop. Plus previews of the other black-type races at Flemington, a Big Dance preview and specials for other venues.

This week, it's the purists' day at Flemington, with group racing from start to finish capped by three massive Group 1s. In Sydney, the $10 million Golden Eagle will be run for the first time at Randwick, while the Everest horses reoppose in the Russell Balding Stakes.

This week, it's the last dance at Moonee Valley before the track's redevelopment, featuring the Moonee Valley Gold Cup on Friday night and the our weight-for-age championship, the Cox Plate, on Saturday. There's plenty of riches up for grabs at Randwick too, with the Group 1 Spring Champion, the Invitation and more.

This week, two of the biggest races on the calendar. It's Caulfield Cup day in Melbourne, while at Randwick the $20 million Everest takes centre stage.

This week, one of the great days on the calendar as the best of our miler colts clash in the Caulfield Guineas on a triple Group 1 card. There are more big dollars on offer at Rosehill, where the $2 million Hill Stakes is the feature. There's also black type at Murray Bridge and Eagle Farm.

This week, a huge day at Randwick, where undefeated mare Autumn Glow will be aiming to graduate to Group 1 glory in the Epsom. The Metrop and the Flight complete a triple Group 1 day, while the local Everest hopes have their final tune-up in the Premiere Stakes. At Flemington it's Via Sistina versus Aeliana versus Sir Delius in the Turnbull Stakes. This race produced the winners of all three Melbourne majors last spring and could do it again.

A huge weekend of racing kicks off with the Valley night opener on Friday, headlined by Lady Shenandoah in the Group 1 Manikato. Saturday is Golden Rose day at Rosehill, with black type at Sandown.

This week, a massive Group 1 double-header at Caulfield with the Sir Rupert Clarke and the Underwood, a huge day at Randwick with Briasa and Private Harry resuming in The Shorts and Pink Ribbon Cup day on the Goldy.

It's round two between gun mares Via Sistina and Aeliana in the Group 1 Makybe Diva at Flemington (but don't forget Mr Brightside, who's going for a hat-trick). At Rosehill, the crack three-year-olds clash in the Run to the Rose while in Adelaide it's Wylie Handicap day.

This week, spring has well and truly sprung with Everest auditions in two states. The short-course sprinters match motors over 1000 metres in the Group 1 Moir Stakes to cap a 10-race card at The Valley, while Randwick is the venue for the $1 million Concorde Stakes heading the traditional spring Tattersall's program.

This week, 10 Group 1 winners descend on Caulfield for the Group 1 Memsie Stakes, one of five black-type races on the card. At Rosehill, the three-year-olds battle it out in the Up & Coming and the San Domenico.

This week, champion mare Via Sistina returns for the first Group 1 of the new season, Randwick's Winx Stakes. There's also black-type action at The Valley (Carlyon Stakes), Morphettville (Leon Macdonald Stakes) and Belmont (IdyllicPrince Stakes).

This week, Private Eye returns in the Group 2 Lawrence Stakes on a quadruple black-type card at Caulfield and the road to the Golden Rose starts at Rosehill with the Rosebud. Sunday's features include Grand National Steeple day at Ballarat.

This week, the race-fit winter sprinters meet some smart first-uppers in the Group 3 Bletchingly at Caulfield while the youngster clash at weight-for-age in the Lightning Stakes at Morphettville. Sydney racing is back at Randwick and in Brisbane they're at Doomben.

This week, the Adelaide carnival concludes with the return of Giga Kick in the Group 1 Goodwood. It's Hollindale Stakes day on the Gold Coast while in NSW all eyes are on Gosford for the Coast, the Gosford Cup and the Takeover Target.

It's South Australian Derby day in Adelaide, the Brisbane winter carnival heats up with a pair of Group 2's, Hawkesbury hosts a strong Cup day program and Pride of Jenni goes around at Caulfield. The boys have it all covered.
