It's Roses v Thistles this weekend, so Emma Wassell returns from north of the border, to join Mo, Katy & Elma in the studio to spill the tea on what's been going on in camp! Mo asks the big questions, like why would you throw a baby out with the bathwater? & do they really have ‘Homes Under the Hammer' in Scotland? Emma beautifully reflects on her own grief, too, having recently marked a year since her mother passed away unexpectedly during last year's Six Nations. AJ and Rhys return to a firestorm surrounding the contract future of Lachlan Galvin. We have a fierce debate about the role of controversial player-manager Isaac Moses in this and several other contract sagas.Away from that, we look at the Dolphins big win over Penrith as the Panthers have a serious fault in them. We also look at the win from the Dragons over the Titans as Fifita and Egan shine on the edges. We have fierce debate on the refereeing in the Roosters upset win over the Broncos as Rhys cries wolf. We also look at Super Saturday which kicked off in WA as Trindall and the Sharks deliver a big blow to a Manly side that cop a basting for their forward pack and we break Origin embargo to talk if the NSW captain will keep his spot. Souths struggle in attack and in the middle as Jaxon Purdue shows his class. While the last game (for now) in Darwin brought further pain for Parra against the Raiders.Sunday footy saw Melbourne put on a clinic against a Warriors side missing their heart and soul for a potential long time as JFH awaits results on a pec injury. The last game left a lot to be desired as Newcastle's attack sputtered out of control against a controlled Tigers side.

We've finally reached the end of the national final season of this year's ESC, but not without a Super Saturday sized helping of drama! We've got our takes on Croatia's Dora, San Marino's San Marino Song Contest, Portugal's Festival de Cancao and Sweden's Melodifestivalen, and not all of them turned out quite how people expected. Jeremy's ready to have his life destroyed, Dimitry longs for a little more of that schlager-y goodness, and Oscar can't stop laughing at one of this week's winners.Croatia's Dora: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqB8Kr2lB5YSan Marino's San Marino Song Contest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdeSEj1wvHEPortugal's Festival de Cancao (free login required): https://www.rtp.pt/play/p14573/festival-da-cancao-2025Sweden's Melodifestivalen with English commentary: https://www.svtplay.se/video/j16Gnw7/melodifestivalen-the-final/melodifestivalen-2025-the-final?video=visa The Eurovangelists are Jeremy Bent, Oscar Montoya and Dimitry Pompée.The theme was arranged and recorded by Cody McCorry and Faye Fadem, and the logo was designed by Tom Deja.Production support for this show was provided by the Maximum Fun network. The show is edited by Jeremy Bent with audio mixing help was courtesy of Shane O'Connell.Find Eurovangelists on social media as @eurovangelists on Instagram and @eurovangelistspod.bsky.social on Bluesky, or send us an email at eurovangelists@gmail.com. Didn't get enough national finals last weekend? Well this time we've got FIVE national finals to talk about, starting with Ireland's Eurosong. After that, it's Ukraine's Vidbir, Latvia's Supernova, Malta's MESC, with Finland's UMK to round things out. Five finals means five new competitors in this year's ESC, and some of them have us thinking we might have heard a winner. We are now just four weeks away from the start of the Cheltenham Festival - and this week's edition of The Front Page is a must for festival fans. Lee Mottershead, Jonathan Harding and Liam Headd kick things off by reviewing Super Saturday at Newbury, where the William Hill Hurdle was dominated by Joyeuese. A change to the rules looks set to keep her away from Cheltenham. Does that rule need changing? Willie Mullins is set for another fantastic festival, as was obvious when he paraded some of his likely runners last week. How many winners will he have and which ones will they be? We end the show by paying tribute to the Aga Khan and reporting on a Westminster debate that further exposed the ignorance of some MPs when it comes to gambling.

[DONATE] The latest episode of The Collective US podcast, produced by the Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency (NMCAA), highlights the organization's impactful programs and events designed to support the community. Hosts Erica Austin and Ryan Buck are joined by Justin Marcum, Tax Program Coordinator, and Emily Marek, Lead Intake Specialist, to discuss NMCAA's free tax preparation program and the upcoming Super Saturday event. The tax program, available across seven northern Michigan locations, provides free assistance to individuals and families earning up to $100,000 annually, helping uncover valuable tax credits and easing financial burdens. Super Saturday, scheduled for February 8th in Traverse City, features free tax filing, financial workshops, giveaways, and community resources, with support from local partners like Huntington Bank and DTE. The episode also highlights the vital role of NMCAA's volunteers, who assist with taxes, intake, and events, making a tangible difference in their neighbors' lives. With programs that returned over $6 million in credits and refunds to the community last year, NMCAA continues to provide essential resources and empower individuals through housing support, financial workshops, and more. Listeners are encouraged to participate in Super Saturday, explore volunteer opportunities, and share information about NMCAA's programs to help uplift their community.

Sorry to end the week with bad news but tomorrow, January 16th, is Blue Monday, often cited as the most depressing day of the year. Blue Monday has existed since 2005, and is based on an equation which takes into account various factors. However, its detractors criticise the idea as pseudoscience and say it is driven by money. Since the first Blue Monday equation was devised by psychologist Cliff Arnall, there have been a few different variants, but there are common elements to each. Of course you've got the winter weather, which explains why Blue Monday isn't a phenomenon in the southern Hemisphere, where January is a summer month. Blue Monday is also not well known in the United States, as it usually clashes with Martin Luther King Day. Why does Blue Monday occur in January? Black Friday, Super Saturday, Blue Monday - why do I get the feeling this is just another marketing thing? Is there any scientific evidence backing Blue Monday ? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! To listen to the last episodes, you can click here: What is the internet of senses? What is goblin mode? What should I eat before going to bed?
