What happens when the business you built to protect your family becomes the very thing that holds you together when that family falls apart? In this episode, Andy Goddard sits down with Cachay Wyson, a doTERRA Blue Diamond with 16 years in the business, for one of the most honest and vulnerable conversations we've had on this show. Cachay shares how she built her business while hiding a pregnancy, quit and came back while racing to Blue Diamond in 28 days, and then watched her entire "why" collapse during a devastating divorce two years ago. Today she's rebuilding slowly, intentionally, and authentically, and she has a lot to say about what really matters. Whether you're just starting out, coming back after a hard season, or wondering why your leaders have gone quiet, this episode will remind you why your integrity is your greatest business asset.

Sherrie's journey into doTERRA was not a polished one. She stumbled into enrollment after buying a homemade roller bottle for her husband's allergies, could not find anyone willing to sign her up, and eventually paid $35 for a wholesale account thinking it was like a Sam's Club membership. With no oils, no upline support, and no computer, she taught her first class from handwritten notes she pulled together after Googling "how to teach a doTERRA class." What she lacked in knowledge she made up for in passion, and that passion is what built her business in the early years. The road to Blue Diamond was far from straight. Sherrie hit Gold, then toggled between Gold and Diamond for years while navigating a serious antibiotic reaction that affected her nervous system, the passing of a close Platinum leader on her team, and deep personal confidence struggles. She had never seen herself as a leader. The turning point came when she stopped and invested heavily in personal development through books, prayer, and growth programs before re-committing to the business with full clarity about who she was and what she was building. The systems that ultimately carried her to Blue Diamond are refreshingly simple. She runs customer appreciation events quarterly, uses a paper checklist to onboard every new enrollee, schedules the membership overview before anyone leaves the room, and runs a six-day Oil Camp program every other month to keep customers engaged and loyal. Her PGV has stayed above 2,000 consistently, a reflection of how seriously she takes retention over raw enrollment numbers. A few standout moments from this episode: Sherrie's first thought when she hit Diamond was "Oh no, I'm going to have to wear high heels now." She met a new builder at a customer appreciation event who had tried the business years earlier and came back, leading to her Diamond qualification. Her grandson's anxiety and OCD transformed after starting omegas, Adaptiv, and Serenity, which deepened her conviction about sharing these products with others. A few resources mentioned in this episode: The Live Guide, which Sherrie uses as the foundation for her membership overviews, can be purchased at doterra.com or downloaded for free. And if you are ready to build your own Oil Camp experience, the original template and step-by-step setup guide is available at Oil Camp Academy. Golden Slipper Day 2026 is delivering five Group 1 races, a stack of talking points, and enough chaos to keep us talking for a week — and BJ, Pat, DJC and Woodhead are all over it. This is the full episode in the lead up to the biggest day of the Sydney Autumn Carnival. We kick things off with the Ranvet Stakes — Aeliana versus Sir Delius in a $1 million weight-for-age battle over 2000 metres. Then comes the George Ryder Stakes — the race Winx won four times — and this year its all about Autumn Glow and whether she makes it win number 11 on the trot. And then the big one. The TAB Golden Slipper 2026 — the 70th running of the world's richest two-year-old race. Twenty runners, five million dollars, and a wide-open market with Chayan the $5 favourite, Blue Diamond winner Streisand looming large, and Bjorn Baker's pair Paradoxium and Warwoven both in the mix.We close out the day with the Kia Ora Galaxy — the $1 million sprint that always throws up a result — featuring last year's Golden Slipper winner Marhoona dropping back in trip and Grafterburners leading the market. The boys had strong opinions. As always. If you're new here — The Leg Up Australia is the horse racing podcast for punters who love the sport and don't take themselves too seriously. BJ, Pat and Woodhead have been best mates for 20 years, and that banter is what makes this show different. No corporate fluff, no scripted takes — just three blokes who love racing, love a bet, and love giving each other shit – especially when DJC is on the show!If you enjoy the episode, hit subscribe and leave us a comment with your best or worst bet for Golden Slipper Day. Another classic recast! One of the craziest stories from recent Thai history. Continuing our series on interesting episodes in Thai history, this episode focuses on the infamous Blue Diamond Affair, It all started when a Thai gardener named Kriangkrai Techamon, who was working in Saudi Arabia, decided to make off with $20 million worth of gems and jewelry belonging to a Saudi royal. Although the thief was caught shortly after his return to Thailand, he had already sold much of the loot, including the famed 50 karat 'Blue Diamond.' No problem - the gems were returned to Saudi Arabia and an apology issued. Case closed! BUT! Soon after the treasure was returned, Saudi authorities claimed that over half of the returned gems were fake, including the Blue Diamond. The Saudi authorities sent a special team of investigators to Bangkok to investigate...and what followed was a tale of murder, kidnapping, and black magic, with the ultimate result being a near-total diplomatic breakdown between the two countries that continues to this day (update - diplomatic relations were restored in 2022). It's a plot almost too twisty for Hollywood, but listen in for details on one of the strangest episodes in Thai history.  As always, the podcast will continue to be 100% funded by listeners just like you who get some special swag from us. And we'll keep our Facebook, Twitter, and LINE accounts active so you can send us comments, questions, or whatever you want to share.Bangkok History Highlight: The Blue Diamond Affair

Many punters have noted the absence of Luke Currie from the Melbourne riding ranks in recent weeks. The popular jockey has simply taken advantage of the off-season period to attend to a nagging knee issue he's been dealing with for quite some time.  He's making great progress and hopes to return to the saddle in just a few weeks. Luke Currie has had a presence among Victoria's top bracket of riders for close to three decades posting more than 1500 winners with 13 Gr 1's prominent on his CV. He's been on our podcast shortlist for a long time and we've been able to make it happen during his current layoff. Luke begins by tendering a full report on his troublesome knee. He says the timing of his hiatus wasn't ideal. He'd been riding winners everywhere. The jockey looks back on his Tasmanian upbringing and an early apprenticeship to his father Ricky. He looks back on a couple of winners in his home state. The system was such that any Tasmanian wins would have had an effect on his Victorian claim. He had to relocate as soon as possible.  Luke looks back on his time with trainer and former champion jockey Pat Hyland. He talks of a transfer to Robbie Griffiths in the latter stages of his apprenticeship, and the golden opportunity he was given by his new boss. The high profile jockey looks back on a six race association with champion mare Makybe Diva. Luke remembers his first Gr 1 success on hardy gelding Roman Arch in the famous Toorak Hcp. He pays tribute to mentor, confidant and friend the late Deane Lester. He reminisces about two C.F Orr victories on Suavito and Manuel. The jockey pays a heartfelt tribute to brilliant mare Sunlight  who provided him with ten wins including two Gr 1's. He recalls her fighting effort to beat some star colts in the Coolmore Stud Stakes.  Luke marvels at the mind boggling money generated by Sunlight and her relatives in the sale ring. Currie will always have a soft spot for Hey Doc. He rode the sprinter-miler 27 times for 8 wins including 4 Gr 1's. He reviews his two memorable Blue Diamond wins on Lyre and Artorius. Luke says he was thrilled to win the 2021 Newmarket for old friend Matthew Ellerton. He agrees his McKinnon Stakes win on Arcadia Queen was perhaps the easiest elite level win he's ever been involved with. Luke looks back on his Hong Kong experience at the height of the covid pandemic. He won at his first race ride, but everything went “belly up” from there. He says there was one memorable development during his time in Hong Kong when invited to fly home to ride Mr. Brightside in the All Star Mile at Moonee Valley. The story had a happy ending. Luke pays tribute to his girls- wife Sophia and daughters Mia and Miley.  This is a laid back chat with a Melbourne jockey whose reputation for hard work and reliability precedes him wherever he goes.

The Hope Diamond.  The Hope Diamond is now known to have been cut from a gem owned by the Royal Family of France and looted during the early days of the revolution.  A lore of the cure of the Hope Diamond made it famous and it now resides in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. where it can be visited by the public.  Take a listen to our podcast and learn a bit about the history of the stone and the rumors of the curse that is supposed to follow it.

In the last episode of Casual Chats for 2024, Arun and Patricia discuss about the 2024 stop motion animated film Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, the 2nd film of the Wallace and Gromit franchise by British animation company Aardman Animations. Taking place decades after the 1993 short Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers, Feathers McGraw, the evil penguin who tried to steal The Blue Diamond thanks to Wallace's invention, The Techno Trousers, is planning for revenge to break out of his prison at the zoo thanks to Wallace's new invention, The Norbot. The Norbot is a robot gnome programmed to do any job, no matter how small. Can Wallace and Gromit stop Feathers for a second time? When the film premiered, it received critical acclaim from critics and fans calling it a great return of the dynamic duo with great animation, a solid soundtrack, a stellar voice cast, and an interesting message on artificial intelligence and relying too much on technology. What did Arun and Patricia think of the film?

Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Masonic and satanic ritual abuse, MK ULTRA and child trafficking survivor, overcomer and whistleblower, qualified Survival Instructor, Instructor for Hostile Environment Awareness Training, alpine climber, Tibetan medicine practitioner, adventure sport instructor, outdoor lover, my new friend, and all around badass and inspiration, LouLou was born into a multi-generational incest-based, bloodline family and is a survivor of the highest levels of Masonic and satanic ritual abuse and mind control and was the daughter of a channeler and healer mother and a father who was former Merchant Navy, worked at Shirley Oaks Children's home as a maintenance worker and builder, and who was a former model with celebrity friends like David Prowse who played Darth Vader in Star Wars. In early childhood, Lou was accepted into special school called Pilgrims as a child after testing off the charts for her IQ. Pilgrims was a school for children like her that had eczema, asthma and other conditions who were often used in medical research and experimentation among other types of child abuse. She realized at age 9 she had forgotten her past when on a live talk show she was asked a question about a childhood event and couldn't remember anything at all. Her mother's decades long friendship with a Grand Master Knight of Malta named Andrew Bertie led to further Lou's abuse and programming. She also was used for covert missions in her late teens and twenties - going to places like Lake Erie and the ecovillage of Canada where she was taught by people who had come up from a CIA training base. She also attended events as a child at Westminster Abbey with the Duchess of Kent and Pinewood Studios. After Lou's father died when she was 30, she discovered photos and exploitation material he had taken of her as a child, and it was then she discovered she had dissociation. Lou has done extensive healing and learning over the past few years to better understand what happened to her as a child and is still on her healing journey. Today is the first time Lou is publicly speaking out about what happened to her as a child and it's a great honor we get to learn about and hear her testimony for the first time. Lou believes its important people know the truth about the Grandmaster and Masonic orders practicing old Babylonian magic and every tradition - especially the left-hand path. There is such a veil over the eyes of society that such heinous abuse, crime and corruption could be at the highest levels of these secret societies and it's testimonies like Lou's that will help lift that veil from everyone's eyes. Lou is so brave and courageous for coming forth to share her testimony and I ask you all to please put away whatever you are doing give her your full attention as we shine a light on some dark topics and expose what's been hidden for far too long. It's time to make the world a better place for the children of the present and future and it's heroes like Lou who are going to make this dream a reality.CONNECT WITH LOU: Twitter: https://x.com/LouiseBrookes8CONNECT WITH THE IMAGINATION:EMAIL: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.com OR standbysurvivors@protonmail.comMy Substack: https://emmakatherine.substack.com/BUY ME A COFFEE: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/theimaginationAll Links: https://direct.me/theimaginationpodcastSupport the show

Show SummaryOn today's episode, we're featuring a conversation with Navy Veteran and military spouse Melissa Washington. Melissa is the CEO of the Women Veterans Alliance, Women Veterans Giving, and publisher of Women Veterans Magazine. Provide FeedbackAs a dedicated member of the audience, we would like to hear from you about the show. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts about the show in this short feedback survey. By doing so, you will be entered to receive a signed copy of one of our host's three books on military and veteran mental health. About Today's GuestMelissa Washington, Navy Veteran, Founder & CEO: Award-winning advocate, speaker, author, entrepreneur, CEO, publisher, Radio Show Host, and proud Navy veteran Melissa A. Washington wears many hats. Yet woven throughout her diverse pursuits is a mission of service—and a passion to empower her fellow women veterans. The daughter of a Bronze Star Army Vietnam War veteran, Melissa grew up in San Francisco's East Bay. Fiercely independent as a child, she spent many afternoons in her family's video store, developing an early sense of business acumen. That enterprising spirit continued into her teenage years when Melissa began training for a career in early childhood education while still in high school. But something else sparked in Melissa just as she was finishing her certification. Seeking to expand her world and serve her country, the 18-year-old enlisted in the Navy, spending three years on active duty and five years in the reserve. She did a 6-month "Med Cruise" and a 6-month "West Pac" deployment during her active duty. That formative experience set her life on a completely new trajectory—not only taking her across the globe and teaching her vital lessons but also introducing Melissa to her husband and, ultimately, inspiring her to transform thousands of lives. In the mid-nineties, she chose to leave the Navy early, having witnessed the burdens that come with a dual-service family. While her husband would remain in the Marine Corps for 21 years, Melissa embarked on a new path, earning her bachelor's degree in business management. She followed with a decade-long career in corporate recruiting and human resources, working with such entities as Nissan, Oracle, Tickets.com, Randstad, and the 2002 Winter Olympics. But in 2009, amid The Great Recession, Melissa was laid off. Despite the setback, she relied on her military training—which taught her to be adaptable and resourceful—and her innate sense of resilience. Above all, Melissa saw an opportunity to reinvent herself once again.Initially, she held LinkedIn workshops from her dining room table, imparting her vital knowledge to others. Soon, she was hosting larger workshops, which eventually grew into speaking engagements with hundreds of attendees. In 2011, she established Melissa Washington, Inc., a consulting service catering to businesses and individuals that incorporates LinkedIn for research, recruiting, job seeking, and collaboration. After four years at LinkedIn, where Melissa managed global meetings, she returned to her entrepreneurial roots. But this time, she focused on her fellow women veterans. A natural networker, Melissa initially sought to connect with her peers outside of traditional veterans' organizations. Yet, the more meetups she planned, the more she realized the need for a dedicated support system for women veterans. In 2015, what started as a local meetup turned into Women Veterans Alliance—a global organization that seeks to empower and positively impact the lives of women veterans. Three years later, she established the nonprofit wing of WVA, Women Veterans Giving. Both entities offer women veterans opportunities to gain valuable career experience and successfully integrate back into civilian life. WVG also helps fund women veteran-owned businesses, which other organizations often overlook. To date, they have awarded over $20k to women in veteran-owned businesses. In 2016, created and produced the first "Women Veterans Unconference."  Developed The Beyond Call of Duty Award Honoring Sgt Nicole Gee to honor and recognize the women in our communities. In 2021, Melissa expanded her role in the community by co-founding Women Veterans Magazine—the first publication of its kind to address the issues affecting women veterans and provide them with local and national resources. Aside from serving as CEO of WVA and WVG and publisher of Women Veterans Magazine, Melissa stays busy as an in-demand public speaker whose topics range from Maximizing Impact to Unlocking the Power of Purpose. She speaks regularly at conferences and events around the country and has spoken at over 100 events—presenting for the likes of Marriott, the Urban League, Blue Diamond, and IMEX America. Melissa has also appeared on the Dr. Phil Show and the Lifetime Channel's The Balancing Act, as well as on SiriusXM, iHeartRadio, ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox, among others.Additionally, Melissa is the author of Get Back to Work: Smart & Savvy Real-World Strategies to Make Your Next Career Move (FriesenPress, 2014). And Unstoppable: Being Fierce, Fearless & Unf*ckwithable in Life and Business, based on her experiences with WVA, which offers practical advice on creating a meet-up group and becoming an influencer within one's community (Brave Healer Productions, 2022).A longtime resident of Northern California, Melissa was a 2011 recipient of the Sacramento Business Journal's prestigious 40 Under 40 award and was among the Journal's Women Who Mean Business honorees in 2017. She has also been recognized by the National Association of Women Business Owners with an Outstanding Women Leader Visionary Award and received the 2016 Soroptimist Ruby Award, which recognizes women helping women. In 2019, she received the Center for Women Veterans' Trailblazer Award.   In 2022, she received her first Federal Appointment to the Small Business Administration Advisory Committee on Veteran Business Affairs (ACVBA).   In 2022, Thrive Causemetics Inc. featured a "Melissa" Warm Sienna Sheer Strength Hydrating Lip Tint to honor her infinite impact on the community.   In 2023, she started Veteran.Events to provide event services to the veteran and military community. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Jarrod, and daughter, Maya. In addition to being an avid genealogist, Melissa loves vacationing with her family—particularly trips that involve a beach. Her grandfather, a WWII Army Air Corps/Air Force Veteran who received the Bronze Star and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters, served in the 509th Bomb Squad AC in the Eastern European Theater with 37 missions over Germany. Her husband is a retired Marine who served in combat in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).Links Mentioned in this Episode Women Veterans Alliance Web SitePsychArmor Resource of the WeekFor this week's PsychArmor resource of the week is the PsychArmor course, Women Veterans Series. Want some Doritos? For years, you might have only been able to get one or two snack chip flavors. But right now on Amazon, you can find numerous varieties, from barbecue to nacho cheese, spicy sweet chili, or Late Night Loaded Taco. And this is really just scratching the surface. There are now dozens of flavors of Blue Diamond almonds, including blueberry, smokehouse, toasted coconut, sriracha, habanero BBQ, and wasabi and soy. So how did this happen? It turns out that some of it is a tech story. Thanks to breakthroughs in automation at both the plant and warehouse level, companies are able to create and ship more varieties than ever before. On this episode, we speak with Ryan Harlan, the director of business development at the E Tech Group, about the rapid changes in the industry over the last decade and how that turned into so many more consumer offerings.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Full show notes at www.LearningLeader.com X/IG: @RyanHawk12   https://twitter.com/RyanHawk12 Ariel wants to be the "Howard Cosell of MMA". “I got the interview skills from my mom, who my friends would always call for advice, and the work ethic from my dad, who never gave an excuse or took a sick day." "So one of the things that early on, before I became a dad was I want to be omnipresent. I believe in this quote from Woody Allen "80% of success is just showing up." I want to be at every single event. I want to be the guy that people when they think of big fights, they think of me. Howard Cosell, of MMA, all that stuff and more." Ariel's Parents: "My mom still watches my show every week, and it's a long show about a topic she doesn't know a hell of a lot about. But she does it because she loves and supports me." "She's the mom that a lot of my brother's girlfriends and stuff would stay in touch with, even after they broke up. Because she just had that connection with people. She asks questions, she listens, she has a good mind and eye for things." "My dad is a workaholic, and he'd be the first to tell you that. He's the kind of guy who, every day, I'd see him Monday through Friday, wake up, go to work at around seven, come home at around seven. He would have this massive box of papers, he would sit at the dinner table, and he would work on all the papers. He would take his shower at like 9:30, go to bed, and start over again, and he couldn't have been happier." Syracuse: In 9th grade, he was reading Sports Illustrated and learned that the U.S.'s top sportscasting degree is earned at Syracuse. Bob Costas went there. Marv Albert went there. So he went to Syracuse. Being homesick and full of anxiety in college: "I wouldn't want to go to the dining hall to eat, so I just stocked up on Blue Diamond almonds. Which I have a hard time eating till this day because it reminds me of those days. Chef Boyardee, Alphagetti, that's what I was eating. I was watching sports in my room, by myself, I had a single room, and I was just crippled with this anxiety. And every time I would leave home to come back to school, like Thanksgiving break was over, and whatnot, Christmas break, I was sad. I was down." When he knew he wanted to cover MMA – back home in the fall of 2006 when he found himself in Champs Sports Bar, on Saint Laurent Boulevard, where the TVs were tuned to a UFC pay-per-view special. When the Quebec-born fighter Georges St-Pierre beat up Matt Hughes and scored a TKO to win the welterweight championship, “the place explodes like the Canadiens just won the Stanley Cup. And I'm like: ‘I want to be a part of this sport.'” Being the Heel – He learned from Howard Cosell, who was known as a heel, the pro wrestling term for the bad guy who people tune in to see fall.  “Heelwani” What does it take to be a great interviewer? Be prepared. Ask thoughtful questions. Don't script the conversation. LISTEN. Ask better follow ups. Make it feel more like a conversation. Feuds with Dana White: "I'm the type of person who doesn't back down, in large part because of my parents and my family, and they never back down, so how could I? And why should I? Especially if I'm not doing anything wrong. So I would say I never sought it, I always try to diffuse it, privately. I don't try to get into Twitter wars and things like that, with other people. Where it seems like they spend their life over there trying to go back and forth. That being said, to your point, which is a great point, having an understanding of pro wrestling, and storylines, and feuds. And I come out of my ESPN chapter as Helwani, and punching back, and it's "High road Helwani, no more" and all that. Yes, sure, there's a little bit of pro wrestling in there, and I love pro wrestling. And I believe that there are a lot of elements in pro wrestling in a lot of different walks of life, including politics and whatnot. Good guy/bad guy, heel/face, all that stuff." How conduct a great interview? "You have to listen, you have to be ready to open your mind, open your heart, and not feel, again, like you're just coming out guns blazing, and hitting someone with haymakers. Listen to them, be soft, be gentle, be welcoming. But, again, Howard Stern, no one did it better, he breaks you down to the point where you think that you're just two guys sitting around, or a girl and a guy sitting around, and there are not even cameras or microphones. They forget that they're on a show, if you're empathetic, if you're warm, if you're welcoming, that's the best result." Make the ASK - Ariel knocked on the door of a senior executive at ESPN. The guy didn't even know who he was. And he asked to be a sideline reporter at basketball games. The senior exec said nobody had ever done that in 20 years. If you want something, ASK for it. Steve Jobs said the difference between the people who dream about stuff and the people who make it happen is the willingness to ask. You gotta ask. "I walked into his office, and there's a lesson, I think, here, for a lot of people. And I was like, "Hey, I have no credibility in the world of basketball, very few people know who I am. I don't have many sources. But if you ever need someone, in the 11th hour someone gets sick, someone gets hurt, I'll be your guy. I'll be your sideline reporter. I know to do that. And he said, "I'll be honest; I've never heard of you. I've never seen MMA. I've never seen your work. But I've been here 20 plus years, and no one has ever done what you just did, so I'll keep you in mind." Which was an amazing thing to hear, and mind-blowing that no one does that. All the offices are right there, just knock on the door."
