In this episode, Dr. Erin sit down with women's health educator and author Tierra Duncan to pull back the curtain on hormonal birth control and the often-ignored "fifth vital sign" the menstrual cycle. After a decade of coaching and deep research, Tiara challenges the "one-size-fits-all" approach to women's health. We dive into the stark differences between synthetic and natural hormones, why common symptoms like PMS aren't necessarily "normal," and how to bridge the communication gap between you and your healthcare provider. Whether you're looking to optimize your performance or simply feel more at home in your body, this conversation offers a practical, science-backed roadmap to hormonal literacy. During this episode, you will learn: Why many symptoms women are told to accept (like extreme PMS or irregular cycles) are actually vital red flags from the body. How the synthetic estrogen and progestin in birth control differ from your body's natural hormones and the downstream effects they can have on mood, bone health, and the gut microbiome. What questions you should be asking your doctor before starting hormonal birth control to ensure you understand the trade-offs. Why ovulation is about much more than just making babies, it's a full-body health indicator impacting your heart, brain, and bones. The "base of the pyramid" habits including sleep, stress management, and nutrition that must be in place for any hormonal treatment to truly be effective. How to track your cycle and symptoms to become your own best health advocate and bring better data to your next clinical appointment. In this Founder Spotlight episode of the HerSuiteSpot Podcast, Marsha sits down with Tiara Slater, a graphic designer, digital illustrator, and the creative force behind Black Is Gold. Tiara's work transforms Black women's stories into art that heals, empowers, and activates joy. Through clean design and bold, soulful visuals, she celebrates softness, strength, and sacred self-love — while challenging the idea that rest and gentleness are luxuries instead of necessities. Beyond the art, Tiara curates healing-centered experiences for Black women, creating intentional spaces rooted in rest, peace, and community. From sip-and-paints to soft-care circles and creative rituals, her work reminds us that creativity can be both a business model and a form of collective care. This episode explores creativity as leadership, softness as strategy, and what it means to build a business that honors Black women's wholeness.

In a day and age where we're too often looking in the mirror and focused on our own problems and successes, Tiara Minor is all about empowering others. As the Director of CDI for University of Miami Health system Tiara makes things happen for her team, because she's all about sharing her expertise and education, growing her staff, and now the CDI profession itself. She's giving back on the broader stage as an ACDIS advisory board member, conference speaker, and now biggest achievement—guest on Off the Record. (I wrote that last one with a straight face, barely). One of the things that impressed me about Tiara was her observation that most training seems to be geared for CDI leaders. Her focus is on her staff, making sure that they have not just mastered the fundamentals of chart review, but also clinical nuances across service lines. We get into education, mentorship, and more on today's episode. Listen in as we cover: Tiara's broad responsibilities and a typical day in the life System focus, CDI metrics, and dashboard Her nontraditional journey into CDI--ER nurse to pediatrics, a foray into consulting, and return to the hospital setting. And winning over some skeptical coders along the way... Mentorship: Growing her staff and how she differentiates mentorship that from management. Her role as educator and an example of an interesting clinical query/quality opportunity she presented to the team An ACDIS splash—getting elected to the advisory board, winning both an individual award (recognition of professional achievement) and an organizational award (Diversity in CDI), and the speaking circuit.

Cat Moon and Mark Williams return to The Geek in Review wearing two hats, plus one tiara. The conversation starts at Vanderbilt's inaugural AI Governance Symposium, where “governance” means wildly different things depending on who shows up. Judges, policy folks, technologists, in-house leaders, and law firm teams all brought separate definitions, then bumped into each other during generous hallway breaks. Those collisions led to new research threads and fresh coursework, which feels like the real product of a symposium, beyond any single panel. One surprise thread moved from wonky sidebar to dinner-table topic fast, AI's energy appetite and the rise of data centers as a local political wedge issue. Mark describes needing to justify the topic months earlier, then watching the news cycle catch up until no justification was needed. Greg connects the dots to Texas, where energy access, on-site generation, and data-center buildouts keep lawyers busy. The point lands, AI governance lives upstream from prompts and policies, down in grids, zoning fights, and infrastructure decisions. From there, the episode pivots to training, law students, and the messy transition from “don't touch AI” to “your platforms already baked AI into the buttons.” Mark shares how students now return from summer programs having seen tools like Harvey, even if firms still look like teams building the plane during takeoff. Cat frames the real need as basic, course-by-course guidance so students gain confidence instead of fear. Greg adds a perfect artifact from the academic arms race, Exam Blue Book sales jumping because handwritten exams keep AI out of finals, while AI still helps study through tools like NotebookLM quiz generation.Governance talk gets practical fast, procurement, contract language, standards, and the sneaky problem of feature drift inside approved tools. Mark flags how smaller firms face a brutal constraint problem, limited budget, limited time, one shot to pick from hundreds of products, and no dedicated procurement bench. ISO 42001 shows up as a shorthand signal for vendor maturity, though standards still lag behind modern generative systems. Marlene brings the day-to-day friction, outside counsel guidelines, client consent, and repeated approvals slow adoption even after a tool passes internal reviews. Greg nails the operational pain, vendors ship new capabilities weekly, sometimes pushing teams from “closed universe” to “open internet” without much warning. The closing crystal ball lands on collaboration and humility. Cat argues for a future shaped by co-creation across firms, schools, and students, not a demand-and-defend standoff about “practice-ready” graduates. Mark zooms out to the broader shift in the knowledge-work apprenticeship model, fewer beginner reps, earlier specialization pressure, and new ownership models knocking on the door in places like Tennessee. Along the way, Cat previews Women + AI Summit 2.0, with co-created content, travel stipends for speakers, workshops built around take-home artifacts, plus a short story fiction challenge to write women into the future narrative, tiara energy optional but encouraged.Listen on mobile platforms: Apple Podcasts | Spotify | YouTube[Special Thanks to Legal Technology Hub for their sponsoring this episode.]

Episode Description: "Project Thaw" exposed—alleged plot to bring Harry back involves educating Archie/Lilibet in UK schools. What if the reason you haven't started writing your novel has nothing to do with how much you know?“I'm not ready yet” is one of the most common things I hear from writers. And on the surface, it makes sense. You want to feel prepared before starting something as big as writing a novel. But not feeling ready usually has very little to do with knowledge. More often, the root cause is a lack of clarity. In this bonus episode, I'm sharing stories from three writers who spent months, and even years, stuck at the starting line because they didn't know how to move from idea to writing. You'll hear about Tiara, who loved writing short stories but froze when she tried to write a novel. Jennifer, who dreamed about her YA fantasy for years but felt she needed more credentials before she could begin. And Sheila, a doctor and teacher who had read the books, taken the courses, and still couldn't put it all together.None of them suddenly became more qualified. What changed was their process. In this episode, you'll learn:[04:00] How a short story writer overcame her fear of full-length novel projects by shifting her mindset around perfectionism and learning to trust a step-by-step approach.[06:15] Why one aspiring author spent years frozen at chapter one and how a simple scene-by-scene roadmap helped her go from stuck to a complete first draft in just 90 days.[08:30] How one writer learned to use genre to map out her story's key scenes—and why this finally made everything click for her after bouncing between over-planning and under-planning for years. If you've been telling yourself you're not ready, this episode will help you rethink that. And if you want a clear, step-by-step path to help you finally start and finish your novel, you can get on the waitlist for the next round of Notes to Novel. Doors open January 22.Your story doesn't need more prep work. It needs one clear direction. And I'll help you do that.

01. What Happened at the Louvre? Louvre is in the heart of Paris There was an actual heist at the Louvre. 他们砸碎了玻璃窗(smashed the glass),据说是偷走了临时珠宝展(special exhibition)的数件贵重珠宝(several pieces of jewelry),最后匆忙逃走了(went off)。 生产该梯子的德国公司迅速在Instagram发布广告图:“We're not just part of your everyday life… sometimes, we make history.”“我们不仅是日常生活的一部分…… In France, a lot of people were actually shocked. 03. Attitude of Museum : France vs China This situation really shows the contrast in how museums are viewed. We hope it encourages more people to think about what we value, and how we protect it.期待珠宝早日回归—— not just for the money, but for what it represents(不只为金钱价值,更为其承载的文化历史意义)。
