On A Bowl of Soul we are continuing the celebration of February is Black History Month. We celebrate the legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson, civil rights activist and ordained Baptist minister. In 1972, Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Push Coalition organized a Black expo in 1972 which featured Black businesses, art, educational institutions (HBCU's) and political leaders. Many Black musical artists performed during this expo which is highlighted in the film called "Save the Children" On A Bowl of Soul we celebrate the musical artists who perfomed at this concert. We celebrate Rev. Not only was Lamonte well known for singing with the superstar group, the 5th Dimension, he was a photographer for Ebony and Jet Magazines for over 40 years. Lamonte was the first African American athlete to try out for the St. Louis Cardinals. After he moved to Los Angeles, he was a minor league strong-arm pitcher with the Los Angeles Dodgers for a short time. Lamonte McLemore was definitely part of Black History. Woodson who founded the Association for the study of African American Life and History. We celebrate Black History with some Classic Soul and New R&B from Maggie Ray and Jill Scott. Also, we celebrate our new ancestors, Richard Smallwood and Demond Wilson who passed away in January. Wow! Here it is, the very first episode of ParaReality that I ever did. I had just signed up for a Live365 account and all I had was a headset microphone and an idea. I also had no clue what I was doing! I think that the first version of ParaReality Radio was a unique one. It combined stories of the paranormal with a nice dose of rock music, ending with one of the most popular segments that I ever did - News of the Strange. Back then, I could get away with playing music because Live365 covered me with music licensing. I know I'm not supposed to play licensed music without permission, but I feel that I need to keep the integrity of the original episode by keeping it as is. If I get into trouble, so be it. For some reason, I decided that for my very first episode of ParaReality ever, I wanted to tackle the story of the Devil's Footprints. a legend of hoof-like marks left by the Devil left in Devon, England. After heavy snowfall, mysterious, hoof-like prints appeared in a straight line for over 100 miles, crossing obstacles like rooftops and rivers, causing widespread panic. Explanations vary from escaped animals (kangaroos, donkeys) and unusual atmospheric conditions to a hoax, but the mystery remains unsolved.  Please keep in mind that this was the very first episode that I did, so I had no clue what I was doing.
