That blessed Man is Jesus Christ. The only way that we can ever be blessed, and to truly be the man in this Psalm is if we trust in that "Blessed Man."
Preacher: Josh Ryan Text: Psalm 1
This is a text I was made to memorize in Christian school, but I believe it's a text that most Christians don't truly understand. Any-time is a good time to meditate (speak of, think on, memorize, etc.) Yahweh's teachings, instructions, and guidance.

The blessed man is not corrupted by the influence of the wicked. While sinful counsel can appeal to the flesh, the blessed keep guard against the allure of evil men. The blessed man delights in the law of God day and night. A person meditates upon that which they love. One who loves God meditates on His law and is not burdened by adherence to it. While the blessed man's life is planted like a fruitful tree by a river, the wicked will be like chaff, driven away at the judgment.

Which path will you choose? Its a good question for a new year, but if you open up to the book of Psalms, youll find that same question implied in its opening words.
This Sunday, we kicked off a new series, "Echoes of Christ in the Psalms". Readings were from Psalm 1 and Matthew 5:1-10.

This week at our Perdido Key Campus, we welcome our new senior pastor, Kyle Valaer, who will kick off the series ‘Stay Focused.' This journey through select Psalms aims to encourage us to remain faithful to Christ in a world vying for our attention. We hope this resource is a blessing to you. For more information about the Point Church, please visit us online at www.tothepoint.church. Take Aways: The word "blessed" refers to the lasting, satisfying happiness that comes from being in right relationship with God. Whatever you most delight in will color every part of your life. The blessed life never lacks what's needed, it always bears the right fruit at the right time, and it lasts regardless of the difficulties. Nothing in your life will last or matter if you're not in right relationship with God. Jesus is the Blessed Man of Psalm 1, but through faith in Him, we can experience His blessing in our own lives.
Jim Osman explores Psalm 2:1-3, examining the futile rebellion against God's authority. He highlights the raging, defiant, and lawless nature of this cosmic mutiny against the Lord and His anointed. Osman contrasts this rebellion with the blessed man of Psalm 1, emphasizing that true fulfillment comes from delighting in God's law rather than rejecting it. Despite appearances, he reassures that God remains the ultimate ruler. ★ Support this podcast ★

Jim Osman examines Psalm 1:5-6, revealing the contrasting destinies of the righteous and wicked. The wicked will perish while the blessed man is preserved and prospered eternally. Osman emphasizes that true righteousness stems from faith in Christ, not mere law-keeping. The righteous will stand in judgment, assured by God's intimate knowledge of their ways. Meanwhile, the wicked face will be removed, and their path will utterly vanish. This message offers eternal hope for believers while warning of wickedness's temporary nature. Osman concludes by urging listeners to choose righteousness, meditate on God's Word, and live obediently, with eyes fixed on eternal vindication rather than worldly success. ★ Support this podcast ★
Jim Osman explores the prosperity of the blessed in Psalm 1:3-4, contrasting the righteous with the wicked. He examines how those who delight in God's Word are like fruitful trees planted by streams, while the wicked are like chaff blown away. Osman emphasizes that the prosperity of the blessed is not merely material but includes spiritual fruitfulness, permanence, and, ultimately, eternal blessing through Christ. ★ Support this podcast ★
