In this episode, we caught up with the talented artist and songwriter God. He shared the story behind his name choice and how his skills as a music artist developed by watching his father, the lead singer of the legendary R&B group Public Announcement. We took a deep dive into God's journey, exploring his past, including a period when he was on the run from the law. He left Chicago for Atlanta, giving himself 90 days to lock in on his music career before the police could catch up to him.God also revealed how his cousin, who worked on videos for 2 Chainz, got an opportunity from the famous vlog site Worldstar. This connection helped God attract attention from major names in the industry. At one point, he was preparing to sign with Jermaine Dupri, but Juicy J swooped in and offered him a publishing deal. He shared an incredible story of crossing paths with hip-hop legend Rick Rubin and how he collaborated with Kanye West on one of the biggest tracks from "The Life of Pablo" album. Although Kanye was interested in signing him, the deal never materialized. With a Grammy nomination and over 30 million records sold, God has worked with numerous favorite artists and is now focusing on his own music, which is set to be released soon, while continuing to collaborate with Juicy J on other artists' records. His journey is a remarkable testament to perseverance and the power of seizing opportunities in the music industry.--Connect With Us On Social Media ----- Instagram: www.instagram.com/illanoizeradioTwitter: https://twitter.com/illanoizeradio Facebook: www.facebook.com/illanoizeradio

In this episode, (the 89th!) I share some great news and also invite you to get to know artist, rapper, DJ and expert manifestor, Prince Hakim. It's an encore presentation of my interview with Hakim, who is an internationally known performer and whose family is no stranger to musical success (he's the son of Robert “Kool” Bell of Kool & The Gang). Hakim and I chatted about just about everything during this episode - from his friendship with music mogul Jermaine Dupri, to touring with the legendary Kool & The Gang, and opening for Van Halen and other music greats. And of course, we dove deeper into Hakim's thoughts on spirituality, meditation, and the power of manifesting with regard to his life and career. Hakim also spoke about the “Kool Kids Foundation,” which was founded by his father, Robert “Kool” Bell and his late mother, Sakinah Bell. The Foundation supports arts and music programs in schools. Since this episode originally aired, Hakim's career has only continued to skyrocket, and Kool & the Gang have gone on be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - an honor that is both well-deserved and long overdue. As a bonus, at the end of the interview, you can listen to Hakim's song, “So Impressive,” featuring Walt Anderson. (You'll be walking around singing for the rest of the day!) In this episode, I share updates on why my recent content has focused solely on the upcoming elections, just 3 days away, and the importance of staying informed. I discuss the trend of artists going independent and their frustrations with record labels, as well as the changing landscape of the music industry. I explore my theory that music isn't evolving as it once did, attributing it to a lack of competition and the diminishing drive among young artists to excel.I also dive into Jermaine Dupri's thoughts on the battle between physical and digital marketing, and I address Young Thug's recent release from prison, including his 15 years of probation and the implications of the RICO Act being used to advance district attorneys' careers. Additionally, I touch on Ari Lennox's beef with Dreamville and discuss Drake's struggle to find his sound after the beef.I also reflect on the culture surrounding the honoring of athletes with statues, questioning why we don't celebrate everyday heroes in the same way. Lastly, I explore how we often judge historical figures based on a small part of their lives, even as we take down statues of generals once seen as heroes during the Civil War.Join me for a thought-provoking conversation that tackles these pressing issues!

Felons From Voting, Axios' Border Control Lie, JD Sets Record Straight MAGA lawmakers in Nebraska are making sure to suppress to voting of those re-entering society by reverting to 19th-century voting restrictions that block former felons from voting. But we have one running for the highest office in the land. I'll talk to a Nebraska State Senator about how the state's attorney general and secretary of state are implementing lifetime disenfranchisement. A Latino civil rights group is demanding that the Justice Department investigate Texas "voter fraud" raids led by state Attorney General Ken Paxton. Tennessee's top Republican leaders are threatening to withhold tens of millions of dollars in state funding from left-leaning Memphis for their plans to place three local gun control initiatives on November's ballot.
