Who am I walking with? Given 7th June 2026
Send us Fan MailSome Bible passages don't just inspire you, they reframe your whole inner world. Romans 8 is one of them, and we read it with the kind of attention it demands: slow enough to hear the logic, honest enough to feel the comfort, and clear enough to take it into real life. It starts with a stunning declaration that hits shame at the root: there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. From the first line, we're talking about Christian assurance, freedom in Christ, and what it means that the Spirit of life sets us free from sin and death. As the chapter unfolds, we lean into the contrast between living “according to the flesh” and living “according to the Spirit.” We explore why mindset matters, how the indwelling Holy Spirit changes our direction, and what it looks like to put sin to death without sliding back into fear. Then the tone shifts from effort to belonging: adoption, crying “Abba, Father,” and the Spirit bearing witness that we are God's children and heirs with Christ. We also don't dodge the hard parts Romans 8 names, like suffering, waiting, and the groaning of creation, because biblical hope is built for real pressure. We end where Romans 8 ends: prayer when you're weak, the Spirit's intercession when you don't have words, “all things work together for good,” and the unbreakable conclusion that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. If you're searching for Bible teaching on suffering, prayer, sanctification, and confidence in God's love, this is a chapter to return to often. In this final message of the Set Free series on the book of Galatians, Dr. Roger Patterson explores what true spiritual liberty looks like to an outside world . Moving past the traps of legalism ("Jesus plus" rules) and license (using freedom to gratify the flesh), Dr. Patterson dives into Galatians 5:25–26 and Galatians 6:1–10 to deliver three core principles for living in step with the Holy Spirit . Key Takeaways From This Sermon: Bearing Burdens vs. Being Conceited: Spiritual believers do not mock or exploit those overtaken by sin; instead, they seek to restore them with a spirit of gentleness and humility . Blessing the Body vs. Being Greedy: Walking in the Spirit means maintaining open hands with our finances . Dr. Patterson challenges us to stop giving God our "leftovers" and instead step into kingdom economics by sowing generously into God's house . Thinking Like Farmers: God is not mocked—we reap what we sow . We harvest later than we plant, we harvest more than we plant, and we harvest exactly what we plant . Boasting Only in Christ: True liberty means getting out of the spotlight and placing the cross of Jesus Christ at center stage . A Note from the Sermon: "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. ... The flesh is scarcity. The spirit says invest, bless, serve, give, release, and be resupplied." — Dr. Roger Patterson

Walk By The SpiritSeries: The Holy Spirit Speaker: Dr. Wes FeltnerDate: 24th May 2026Passage: Galatians 5:16-25
Freedom in Christ isn't freedom to live for ourselves—it's freedom to walk by the Spirit. As we turn to Galatians 5, Pastor Josh reminds us that the fruit of our lives reveals what's happening in our hearts, and that spiritual transformation happens as we welcome the Spirit, attune ourselves to His voice, and keep in step with Him.
This week, our Senior Pastor, Miles Fidell, continues our Eternal Fruit series with an encouraging message: fruit-bearing isn't something we strive for—it's the natural byproduct of deep, abiding friendship with Jesus.

We often think that we need to work to please God when we are really set free! But what are we set free for, and can we do whatever we want?

Why is it so hard to live like Jesus? In this message, Pastor Nate Nupanga teaches that Jesus doesn't just save you, He gives you power through the Holy Spirit to help you become like Him.
Our hearts can still accuse us even when we belong to Christ. John shows that the Spirit reassures believers of God's love and empowers obedience. This message looks at how the Spirit brings confidence and peace to those who walk with Him.
How to Walk by the Spirit (Galatians 5:16) | Life in the Spirit, pt. 3 Galatians 5:16 says, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh." This is the basic behavioral command for Christians. We can obey all other commands only insofar as we are obeying this command, because the Spirit's presence and power is what enables the transformation necessary to become the kind of person who can obey the other commands. Why do human philosophies keep promising freedom—yet leave people more anxious, confused, and broken? In today's MY Devotional, Dr. Michael Youssef traces the root of our modern spiritual crisis back to the first temptation in the garden: Adam and Eve believed Satan's lie and chose rebellion over God's perfect wisdom. That same pattern still drives every ideology that elevates human desire above God—and it's why man-made “solutions” always fail. But there is real hope: only God's wisdom can repair what sin has destroyed. And God hasn't left us guessing. Through the Holy Spirit, believers have access to the mind of God—yet Dr. Youssef reminds us that the Spirit's guidance isn't experienced through information alone, but through surrender. You'll hear why: daily yielding to the Holy Spirit is essential for clarity and spiritual strength, ignoring the Spirit grieves Him—and persistent disobedience can quench His voice, many can read the Bible and still miss its meaning without the Spirit's illumination, and it's never too late to invite the Spirit back into the “driver's seat” of your life. Today's MY Devotional has been provided by Leading The Way. The voice you hear on the MY Devotional podcast is digitally generated with Dr. Youssef's permission. If today's devotional stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don't have to walk through it alone.

How do we walk by faith and not by feelings? Aaron made an excuse for his sin, and God didn't punish Him? How can I know that God's gospel promises are for me individually? What do you think of Billy Graham? Is the Bible on audio a good approach to learning more? How do we walk by the Spirit consistently? What tools do we need? My wife and mother passed away on the same day a year ago. I can't help but think sometimes that it was God trying to tell me something; and it's just a lot to grieve all at once.

The Christian life has never been about our talents or our efforts to achieve something spiritually significant. It has always been about the work of Jesus within us and His supernatural work through us. This week, we resumed our series on the Holy Spirit, specifically part 3: "Walk by the Spirit." Believers need to understand that living a holy and supernatural life is not only possible; it is the inevitable result for anyone who is truly submitted to Jesus and filled with His Spirit.
We evaluate peoples' character in numerous ways. One factor with strong influence is whether or not an individual follows through on promises made. If someone says they're going to provide, and then fails to provide, our opinion of them is affected. Today's study explores the danger of that skepticism leaking into our spiritual life. On stage versus backstage… You've probably experienced it. Someone says one thing, but once the spotlight is turned off, that person is completely different. Main Idea: "Christian, walk by the Spirit."1. What it is to "walk by the Spirit"2. Why we are called to walk by the Spirit3. A word of encouragement
The Christian life isn't about striving harder—it's about surrendering daily to the Spirit. In Galatians 5, Paul contrasts the destructive works of the flesh with the beautiful fruit of the Spirit, reminding us that only God can produce real transformation in us.
Pastor Troy Dobbs explains how Paul warns the Galatians against gratifying sinful desires, contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit, and instructs them to live in alignment with the Spirit's guidance - avoiding the “acts of the flesh” and cultivating the “fruit of the Spirit.”
