Ryan and Dave struggle to achieve the right tempo in discussing what is essentially The Little Drummer Boy Meets The Big Bad Wolf, Damien Chazelle's dynamite breakout film that put him on the Hollywood map. From references to color-coded feminine afflictions to the hot-button issue of gender neutrality, Ryan and Dave go on many unrelated but amusing tangents in their heat-addled attempts to give due deference to an amazing movie that showed just how horrifying it can be to achieve one's dream. Needless to say, J.K. Simmons is so scary he eats Conjurings and craps Babadooks. Next week, Dave's old buddy Moses stops by as guest reviewer to take in his choice - "The Big Sick"!
