Rabid Flesh Eaters- After over 30 years of a brotherhood founded on the searing fire of classic metal bands like Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Slayer, and Rigor Mortis, the aggressive foaming at the mouth sonic assault of the R.F.E. is more relentless than ever. R.F.E.’s eight vicious new tracks are stronger and achieve heavier, faster heights than anything they’ve released before. With developed dynamics, extreme tightness, and a heart pounding impact this band has clearly evolved since their last album, 2016’s Reign of Terror. Beyond setting new standards for today’s speed metal genre, this record is a visceral homage to their longtime friends, Texas metal legends Rigor Mortis - drummer Harden Harrison, bassist Casey Orr, and their fallen brothers, guitarist Mike Scaccia (1965-2012) and vocalist Bruce Corbitt (1962-2019). Japan Nick's Quarantine Podcast Episode 1 Rabid Flesh Eaters 04/22/20 I had Mike Taylor (Guitars) and John Hill (Bass) of Rabid Flesh Eaters on my show. A decent amount of insight when it came to the recording of the title track RFE which featured Bruce Corbitt’s final song. They talked about working with DFW recording engineer Kerry Crafton. They were some brief memories from hanging out with Rigor Mortis during the self titled album sessions. We talked about the songs Veangance of Nightmares as well as Hallucinations. There was some good discussion on Italian horror movie soundtracks. They spoke about recording their versions of the Rigor Mortis classics Die In Pain, Contagious Contamination, and Welcome to your Funeral. We wrapped things up speaking about how the corona virus has affected them as a band.

This interview with Warbeast Drummer Joey "Blue' Gonzalez was conducted on December 9th 2012 by Japan Nick of WMSC 90.3's Japan Nick's Rock and Metal Pandemonium. Joey Gonzalez is a Dallas, Texas based drummer who is a full time member for Warbeast as well as Philip Anselmo, and does live work for Hank Williams III and Protest. He has been out to Europe twice, once with Hank Williams III and just recently getting back from the Warbeast/Down Tour with a great many performances in Germany. He joined Texas Metal Alliance which is now known as Warbeast at the age of 17. People he views as teachers/mentors include Philip Anselmo, Marzi Montazeri, Bruce Corbitt, Scott Shelby, and Hank Williams III. This coming year Joey will be appearing on 3 albums including The War of the Gargantuas Split with 2 Philip Anselmo songs paired with the Birth of a Pyscho and IT songs which have been featured in the setlists of a great many live Warbeast concerts, Warbeast’s Destroy album, and Philip Anselmo’s Solo Album Walk Through Exits Only. There has been talk of a music video for Warbeast perhaps being BloodMoon ; an upcoming track from the Destroy Album that’s a pretty have fun with it type track with the whole werewolf scene deal going on. It’s not the most serious stuff in the world, Warbeast tries to pick songs that they can have the most fun in a music video, make people laugh but still get the essence of the song through. Major talking points include Joey Gonzalez's first days in Texas Metal Alliance which is now called Warbeast, the story of Bruce Corbitt bringing Joey into the band as a full member with a story about a trip to the Rockstar Sportsbar. New songs for the upcoming album Destroy were discussed such as Nobody, War of the Worlds, BloodMoon and the Day Of were discussed. The memory of the final show with Down from the European Tour with a special perhaps one time only performance of The Terrible Terribles, a Spanish band comprised of Joey Gonzalez on lead vocals singing in Spanish, Phil Anselmo on drums and a number of techs from the European production of Down comprised the band. The War of the Garguantuas story and how it developed over two years is thoroughly explained. A discussion on the preparations that needed to take place and afterthoughts on the European Tour were spoken about. Song Writing with Philip Anselmo, Scott Shelby, and preparing for live performances with Hank Williams III were gone over in an depth style.
This interview was recorded on August 27,2012 by Japan Nick for airplay on Japan Nick's Rock and Metal Pandemonium on WMSC 90.3 and http://wmscradio.com Topics of discussion included the American tour with Down, different bands sharing the stage with Warbeast in the US as well as Europe, a release date for the album Destroy (January 1st 2013) , and speaking about Bruce Corbitt's metal wedding show.
