“Tron: Ares” ist ein Film, den man trotz aller Schwächen gesehen haben sollte und zwar im Kino. Denn was Regisseur Joachim Rønning hier visuell entwirft, ist keine bloße Science Fiction, sondern ein ästhetisches Erlebnis aus Licht, Bewegung und Sound. Die Rückkehr ins “Grid”, diese ikonische, künstlich leuchtende Welt aus Neon und Dunkelheit, gelingt auf eine Weise, die zugleich vertraut und radikal modern wirkt. Der Film entfaltet auf der großen Leinwand eine Energie, die man in Zeiten formelhaft gestreamter Actionfilme kaum noch erlebt. Das ist die große Stärke von “Tron: Ares”. Dieser Film glaubt noch an das Kino.Doch so sehr das Auge verwöhnt wird, so wenig Futter bekommt der Kopf. Die Handlung wirkt oft fahrig, die Dialoge sind stellenweise schlicht und die Figuren bleiben seltsam flach. Man versteht, was sie tun, aber nicht immer, warum sie es tun. Es fehlt an innerer Notwendigkeit und an emotionaler Tiefe.Was “Tron: Ares” dennoch rettet, ist seine kompromisslose Sinnlichkeit. Der Film ist ein Fest für die Sinne. Die Kameraarbeit hypnotisiert, der Soundtrack von Nine Inch Nails schiebt sich wie ein dunkler Strom durch jede Szene und die Lichtarchitektur ist präzise komponiert. Gerade in den ruhigeren Passagen entfaltet sich ein melancholischer Sog, der an das ursprüngliche Versprechen des “Tron”-Universums erinnert, an die Sehnsucht nach der Verschmelzung von Mensch und Maschine.Trotz erzählerischer Schwächen bleibt “Tron: Ares” also ein Film, den man nicht einfach abtun kann. Er stolpert, aber er stolpert nach vorn. In einer Zeit, in der viele Blockbuster in kalkuliertem Zynismus erstarren, wagt dieser Film Pathos, Farbe und Vision. Vielleicht ist das sein größter Verdienst. Er erinnert daran, dass Kino mehr sein kann als nur ein Produkt. Nämlich Rausch und Idee zugleich. “Tron: Ares” ist kein perfekter Film, aber ein schöner Beweis dafür, dass Perfektion manchmal gar nicht das Ziel sein sollte. Každý se bojí, jde jen o to, jak to dokážeš potlačit a jet podle nacvičených drillů,“ popisuje Němec první střety v Afghánistánu. Jednotka SOG, složená z vojáků, policistů a zpravodajců, byla podle něj unikátní – uměla bojovat i působit v operativě. „Dnes tady není útvar s takovým záběrem, jaký měl SOG,“ dodává.Návrat do civilu popisuje jako šok. „Potřeboval jsem zaplatit složenky a alimenty. Jenže když jsem přišel do firmy a řekl, co umím – střílet, řídit tank a skákat padákem – tak se mě zeptali, jak tím budu přínosem. Moje první práce byla ve Všenorech. Hledal jsem černé skládky. Weil Naturmaterialien schwanken, verändern sich Nuancen, Texturen und Dynamik – und genau das macht für viele den Charme dieser Linie aus. Auch der Vertriebsmodus kommt zur Sprache: Zuerst erscheint das komplette Set, später folgen Einzelverkäufe. Chris' Fazit fällt nüchtern aus: Für ihn ist in dieser Classic-Box kein unumstößlicher Must-Buy dabei; wenn er wählen müsste, würde er War & Peace 3 nehmen. Insgesamt ziehen ihn andere Areej-Linien – vor allem die „tierischeren“ Moschus-Arbeiten – noch stärker an. Im Frühling 1925 wurden im sogenannten Tscheka-Prozess eine kommunistische Gruppe für ihre Anschlagspläne in Deutschland verurteilt, wobei eine Unterstützung dieser Gruppe durch Russland nachgewiesen werden konnte. Die Antwort aus Moskau erfolgte prompt in Form eines, heute würde man sagen, Schauprozesses, bei dem die drei nach Russland reisenden Studenten Kindermann, Wolscht und von Dittmar als vermeintliche Spione, die angeblich Anschläge auf ranghohe Kommunistenführer verüben wollten, zu Tode verurteilt wurden. Weil in der Folge auch ein Mitarbeiter der deutschen Botschaft in Moskau in den Sog dieses Prozesses hineingezogen wurde, erreichte die russische Diplomatie ihr Ziel: Verurteilte im Tscheka-Prozess wurde an die Sowjetunion übergeben, was dazu führte, dass die Studenten begnadigt wurden und nach Deutschland zurückkehren konnten. Diesen Ausgang konnte der Hamburgische Correspondent vom 3. Juli nicht kennen, die Unrechtmäßigkeit des Prozesses erkannten damals aber alle Zeitungen rechts der kommunistischen Parteizeitungen. Jim Hawes, a Navy SEAL and CIA paramilitary officer, whose covert maritime missions in the 1960s helped shape the early fight against communism in Vietnam and Africa.In 1964, Jim became the first SEAL Team 2 officer permanently assigned to MACV-SOG in Vietnam, where he led maritime operations into North Vietnam - operations initially run by the CIA and unknown to most outside a tight circle of operatives. From a remote base outside Da Nang, Jim conducted coastal raids and intelligence-gathering missions behind enemy lines. These formative missions, including involvement in what was to become known as the Gulf of Tonkin incident, laid the groundwork for the Navy's involvement in the larger SOG effort. Following Vietnam, Jim brought his maritime expertise to Africa, joining the CIA's paramilitary ranks during the height of the Cold War. On Lake Tanganyika, he helped run one of the most successful clandestine operations in Agency history - intercepting weapons, disrupting communist movements, and tracking Che Guevara's insurgency in the Congo.Jim is the author of Cold War Navy SEAL: My Story of Che Guevara, War in the Congo, and the Communist Threat in Africa.
