The host's of CSN The Network Podcast return this week for Part 1 of an interview with the legendary shooting guard from UNC Chapel Hill, PJ Hairston. PJ Hairston was a ESPN top 100 recruit (No. 13 overall) coming out high school, he was the #1 ranked player in the state of North Carolina and was ranked #3 at his position in the nation. The interview starts out with PJ discussing his child hood, where he is really from, what it was like growing up in Greensboro, NC. PJ discussed his high school experience at Dudley High School, which is a prominent high school in Greensboro, where he played against John Wall and many other star athletes. He discussed why he chose Dudley High School over smith, he discussed what he averaged and his top performances in high school, including his 59 point performance in which he did this in just 3 quarters, and he discussed his aau days. He also discussed his recruitment process, the school he was originally going to before committing UNC, he spoke about some of his UNC experiences and how he was able to elevate his mental health after hurting his hip while playing in the NBA. He spoke about some of the things he had to go through for his role in the NBA, and some of the matchups he had to face. He also spoke about meeting one of his favorite players in Kobe Bryant, how well he played against him, and how they developed a rapport. His career skills include strategic planning, finance, accounts receivable, relationship management, client services, and project management. Hugh has lived, worked, and engaged in Greensboro, North Carolina for over 30 years. His wife, Olymphia (LeGrand) Holston, is a native of Greensboro and graduated from Dudley High School.
