The history of Zarin Racing. The story began with Jim Zarin in 1987 while he was still in high school and continues with Logan Zarin headed to Florida in February. Logan Zarin and his Zarin Truck and Automotive Service Racing Team will make their second trip to the Sunshine State to test their mettle against some of the strongest teams in Dirt Late Model racing during the Lucas Oil Late Model Winter Series races at All Tech Raceway and East Bay Raceway Park. Logan relies on the support of his family which has been involved in the sport for many years. His father Jim spent 14 years in the seat of various types of dirt cars with quite a few wins under his belt. Jim's grandfather Pap Zarin also wheeled a dirt car many years ago. The other family members on the team are Logan's mother Nicki, sister Lacey and girlfriend Fran Barchetti.

Show #85 - May 18, 2009 Dave Westerman brings fans an update on Volusia Speedway Park and Orlando Speedworld and speaks about some recent racin' controversies and plans to broadcast VSP races on Internet TV. Christian Augspurger is the youngest dirt late model racer in the Sunshine State, and he is beginning to get some real confidence racing with his heroes. Justin Ellison talks about the upcoming City Boys 100 at Columbia Motorsports Park. Finally a race for just regular "city folks". Joe Lewandoski with the weekly FASCAR update. Imagine 12 street cars doing five caution free laps on the high banks of New Smyrna, passing all the time. Joe explains! No doubt one of the most successful touring series in Florida is the DeSoto Champ Karts, the creation of Phil Harp and helped immensely by Mike Portman and others. Phil tells the story. Todd Hutto previews the upcoming Scott Thompson Memorial on May 23 at East Bay Raceway Park. Todd was as close as anyone to one of Florida dirt racing's most popular drivers. David Augspurger has been helping hands-on creating the new Hendry County Motorsports Park. As David explains, when the track opens July 18 the only thing the same will be the location. Everything else will be different as drivers prepare to race on "Everglades Clay" for the first time. Drew Brannon held of a hard charging Landon Cassill to win his first ASA Challenge race by 4/10ths of a second. Steve Carlson finished third and Eddie Hoffman was fourth in the 150-mile event at the Milwaukee Mile. It is Brannon’s fourth ASA Late Model win of the young season and his seventh feature victory already in 2009. Congratulations Drew. Next Week: Lake Speed won the International Karting Federation (IKF) National Championship six times and in 1978 he won the prestigious Karting World Championship over among others, future Formula One legend and icon Ayrton Senna. As of 2009, Speed is the only American to win the championship. Also 6-time United States Karting champion. Lake ran in 402 NASCAR WINSTON CUP races run over 19 years, won at Darlignton in 1988, had 75 top tens.

March 19, 2009 LIVE FROM EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK A great lineup of racers from around Florida for this show. Currently the state's top sprint car driver is Gene Lasker. Lasker talks about his beginnings at East Bay in the Street Stock, the move to sprints in 199, and the success that has followed one of Florida's most entertaining drivers. Sprint car promoter Don Rehm, currently promoting the Top Gun Sprint Car Series (dirt) and the Checkered Flag Sprint Car Series (asphalt),sits in with Gene and the two compare notes on the current sprint car scene. Promoter Bobby Diehl (Charlotte County Motorsports Park) talks about the reasons behind the success he is having as a track owner and other current racing topics. ASA Late Model Series drivers Jeremy Gerstner and Ross Chastain share the stage with Sean Bass, an asphalt late model driver who has recently started racing on the dirt at East Bay. Jeff Mathews is dedicating this year to try and win both the late model and modified championships at East Bay. He is presented with the Hilderbrand Jewelers Driver of the Month award for February, presented of course by the Real Racin USA Monday night show, "Inside Florida Racing". He was joined at the microphone with East Bay Raceway park co-owner Todd Hutto. Susan and Rick Auriemma, promoters of the FAST Mini Cup Series introduce one of their new drivers, Bobby Rogers, a spry 60 year old who now has time ( and energy) to go tackle the short tracks. The duo also announce their addition of Bronson Motor Speedway to their 2009 schedule. Debi Garcia, owner of Ambassador Racing, talks about the karting and quarter midget programs in Florida and upcoming events. Also on the agenda tonight was a discussion of the Ric Flair as Honorary Race Director debate and other current events. The two hour show was hosted by Rick Anges, Jack Smith and Bill Green. The ever popular dirt racing offering from Real Racin USA, Dirt World with Joe Dirt and Billy the Kid, kicked off the new year in 2009 with a couple of late model stars. The driver of the Rusty Wallace Toyota sponsored dirt late model, Shannon Buckingham, was the featured guest on Wednesday night's show. Shannon is still buzzing over the big win in the NeSmith Chevy Dirt Late Model Series race at East Bay Raceway Park in December.

The evening is topped off by a return to Inside Florida Racing by the "Superman" Sport Allen, who came of "retirement" to get a big sprint car win at East Bay Raceway Park.
Randy took home the $5000 winner's purse Nov 8 at East Bay Raceway Park, taking the lead with 10 laps to go and driving away to a big win for the Illinois based driver.
East Bay Raceway Park co-owner Todd Hutto appeared on Real Racin' USA's INSIDE FLORIDA RACING show on Monday night to announce the new dirt racing organization and the sprint car series they have created. Four dirt tracks including East Bay, Ocala, Volusia and North Florida have been holding regular meetings throughout 2008 moving in the direction of creating meaningful cooperation between the tracks. The Dirt4Dirt.com Promoters Association grew out of these meetings with the group's first major creation being the Top Gun Sprint Car Series The series will hold its first race on March 7, 2009 at North Florida Speedway under the direction Don Rehm, longtime sprint car racing organizer.
