Rico Abreu only wins because of Ricky Warner, Kyle Cummins leads USAC into a busy week around Indy, and where do we draw the line between track prep and the fan experience?
This week we recap Duane's visit to Kokomo for the High Limit Series event, where our friend Rico Abreu took the checkered flag at the finish line over Justin Peck. Unfortunately the biggest news out of Kokomo wasn't the amazing finish but the topic of smart watches as Rico was visibly wearing one in victory lane. We talk about the social media swarm that ensued over the topic of smart watches. We also talk about Duane's AFCS weekend, T-Mac getting back to victory lane (twice) and other racing news from the area!
Did we get a simple slip of the tongue from Jonathan Davenport, or an admission of a big change to his car? We'll talk about that plus Rico Abreu's not fun win, multiple winless streaks broken, and we are absolutely not going to talk about more qualifying wings that showed up at Williams Grove.
Mostly Motorsports Ep. 359 Rico Abreu, Chase Raudman Scott Traylor and Kirk Elliott have been the host of "Track Talk" with the RacinBoys on Sports Radio 810 WHB in Kansas City for 24 years. Traylor spent the past 13 years on the road as anchor and producer of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour broadcasts. The Freaks are back and chomping at the bit to get into the stellar snooze fest that was NASCAR at Martinsville. Crash joins the show from "the paperclip," as the crew dives into Denny's dominance and the wild Xfinity Series spectacle from Saturday. Hear from one of the most exciting young talents across motorsports in Connor Zilisch on his journey to this point, Rico Abreu following High Limit's first race at Arizona, as well as a very blunt Graham Rahal on the state of IndyCar.
USAC National Midget Series Champion Rico Abreu sat down with Kenny after High Limit Racing's debut at Central Arizona Raceway. The dirt devil dishes how he keeps a clear head behind the wheel, bonding with the team and the car-and-driver balance in racing sprint cars.
Today we're talking Hunt the Front series full timers, plus an update on their crew chief situation. I've also got details on Rico Abreu's big plans for 2025, and we'll talk racing coming up, including the Icebreaker at Lincoln.
Carson Macedo's offseason plans are dashed after it's revealed he's injured, Rico Abreu talks Chili Bowl, Ian Madsen is back, plus sprint car news in Central Pennsylvania and with USAC.
High Limit Eldora Winner Rico Abreu is a Friend of the Freaks. He's a regular in The Nation. But his fourth win in the Eldora 4 Crown event is four reasons why Rico is drawn to the western Ohio track. The 4 Crown event features winged Sprint Cars, non-wing Sprints, USAC Midgets and USAC Silver Crown cars. These open wheel racers are some of the fastest in short track racing all over America. And Abreu is a winner in most of them. Listen...
