1992 was a weird year for WCW. The WWF was rolling hard! Meanwhile, WCW had multiple World Titles, Tag Titles, meaningless prizes like The King of Cable and BattleBowl, WCW Champion Ron Simmons wasn't drawing houses, there was no Ric Flair or Four Horsemen, and Bill Watts was booking. This was definitely an interesting period for WCW, who wouldn't hit their boom period for another 3 years. However, they were still loosely affiliated with the NWA, they were bringing in Japanese talent from NJPW, and they were trying their best to build up BattleBowl and the Lethal Lottery at this Starrcade to mean something. That's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for them! Also, in the news, we discuss the WWF steroid trial, Nailz (allegedly) assaulting Vince McMahon over a payoff before claiming Vince sexually assaulted him, the British Bulldog demanding more money in Japan and getting shot down multiple times, Road Warrior Hawk having his way in Japan, and much more!ALL PODCAST, SOCIAL MEDIA, & MERCHANDISE LINKS: linktr.ee/MainEventMarksCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.com & bonfire.com/store/maineventmarksGET FUELED WITH SHOCKED ENERGY: https://shockedenergy.com/collections/all?sca_ref=1814354.mOXH7RrwKh&sca_source=MainEventMarks (promo code: MainEvent for 10% off)KEEP YOUR COFFEE GIMMICK FREE AND FRESH ROASTED TO ORDER WITH COFFEE BRAND COFFEE: https://coffeebrandcoffee.com/?ref=WC7vE0tK (promo code: MAINEVENT for 5% off)GET AWESOME SPORTS T-SHIRTS: intheclutch.com/MAINEVENT (use code "MAINEVENT" for 10% off)ORDER FROM SWIFT LIFESTYLES: SwiftLifestyles.com, use PROMO CODE: MainEventMarks at checkout for 15% offLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 9PM EST: tikilive.com/channel/BURNS
In December of 1997, it wasn't Vader Time...but it was time. Time for what? Time for Sid vs. Bret Hart for the WWF Title! While this show wasn't a complete crapper with no redeeming qualities, it certainly won't go down as a great show, by any means. This is the final stop before Shawn Michaels wins the WWF Title back from Sid in his hometown, at the Alamodome, at Royal Rumble 1997. On top of that, Hunter Hearst Helmsley defends the Intercontinental Title against "Wildman" Marc Mero, the fake Razor Ramon and Diesel get a Tag-Team Title shot at Owen Hart and British Bulldog, The Undertaker and the Executioner have a weird take on a Texas Deathmatch, and more! In the news, we discuss what's going on in the Mexican wrestling scene, WCW racing to sign the best luchadores before WWF poaches them, the upcoming Shotgun Saturday Night WWF show, another wrestling organization goes under, and much more!ALL PODCAST, SOCIAL MEDIA, & MERCHANDISE LINKS: linktr.ee/MainEventMarksCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.com & bonfire.com/store/maineventmarksGET FUELED WITH SHOCKED ENERGY: https://shockedenergy.com/collections/all?sca_ref=1814354.mOXH7RrwKh&sca_source=MainEventMarks (promo code: MainEvent for 10% off)KEEP YOUR COFFEE GIMMICK FREE AND FRESH ROASTED TO ORDER WITH COFFEE BRAND COFFEE: https://coffeebrandcoffee.com/?ref=WC7vE0tK (promo code: MAINEVENT for 5% off)GET AWESOME SPORTS T-SHIRTS: intheclutch.com/MAINEVENT (use code "MAINEVENT" for 10% off)ORDER FROM SWIFT LIFESTYLES: SwiftLifestyles.com, use PROMO CODE: MainEventMarks at checkout for 15% offLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 9PM EST: tikilive.com/channel/BURNS

Where did all of these rules come from? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys bridge the gap between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania with In Your House 13: The Final Four. We get the debut of a familiar face, as well as a first-ever Pay Per View Jobber of the Week. Owen Hart & the British Bulldog take it up a notch in their story, Crush continues to be a weak link, and Marc Mero's knee is still intact. Shawn Michaels would do anything for the title (...except for one thing)!
The Golden Era of Wrestling was the pinnacle of the tag team division. Every fan remembers teams like: The British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, Demolition, The Road Warriors, The Midnight Express but what about the under-rated teams? The teams that seldom get mentioned in the "Greatest Tag Teams" conversation? Today, we talk about underrated / forgotten / not often-mentioned Tag Teams.

What was that sound? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys take a look at the go-home episode of Monday Night Raw, leading into the 1997 Royal Rumble. Matches featuring Marc Mero, Jerry Lawler, the Undertaker, and Crush all round out a sub-par Raw that does nothing to get anyone ready for the Rumble. Rocky Maivia and the British Bulldog have a great match, while the Hart brothers and Stone Cold Steve Austin rise to a new level of storytelling. Let's take one more look at Shawn Michaels!
“Dynamite & Davey: The Explosive Lives Of The British Bulldogs” is a new book about the lives of Davey Boy Smith and the Dynamite Kid aka Tom Billington. And Author Steven Bell along with Bronwyne Billington, the daughter of the Dynamite Kid, and Ross Hart, brother of Bret and Owen and Stampede Wrestling historian share stories about the tag team that revolutionized the business. Ross recounts how Dynamite and Davey first came to Canada to work for Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling, when and how they got put together as a tag team, and the impact they had on the business. Ross and Steven talk about Dynamite & Davey's unlikely friendship, incredible chemistry, and Davey Boy's fierce loyalty to Dynamite. They discuss the British Bulldogs' monster run in Japan, their WWE signing, and why things didn't work out exactly as planned for them. They also talk about the duo's final days in wrestling, and their respective tragic passings. Plus, Bronwyne shares stories from her childhood, and reveals details about her estrangement from her father, and how she was able to reunite with him not long before he passed. Please support our sponsors!Babbel: visit Babbel.com/TIJ to get up to 55% off your subscriptionFanDuel: download the FanDuel app & use promo code JERICHO to get a “No Sweat First Bet” up to $1000Cynch: download the Cynch app or go https://www.cynch.com/ and get your first tank exchange for $10 with code JERICHO.Bosch Tools: learn more at https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/SlingTV: check out https://www.sling.com/ for special offers STAY CONNECTED:TikTok: @TalkIsJerichoInstagram: @talkisjericho @chrisjerichofozzyTwitter: @TalkIsJericho @IAmJerichoYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/ChrisJerichoFozzyhttps://www.webisjericho.com/

On October 11, 1999, this was Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Federation planting their flag at midfield on WCW's home turf. WCW Nitro had packed out the Georgia Dome multiple times in the past, but now, the WWF was bringing their flagship show, Raw is War, to the Dome and laughing at the miserable state of their competition. Stone Cold Steve Austin was back from getting hit by a car and he sees red while going after WWF Champion, Triple H. All things are not great between tag partners, X-Pac and Kane. Mark Henry is going through sex therapy (yes, really). Chyna is gearing up to face Jeff Jarrett in a Good Housekeeping Match at No Mercy (again, yes, really). Also, this show ends with a giant pile of crap. And no, that's not hyperbole. Meanwhile, in the news, Gorilla Monsoon has died. Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara quit the WWF and head for WCW. We continue our classic World Wrestling Federation PPV run from 1992, picking up after WrestleMania VIII with SummerSlam 1992 from Wembley Stadium in London! This PPV was mostly remembered for it's main event which saw Bret "Hitman" Hart defending the Intercontinental Championship against his brother-in-law, The British Bulldog. Along with it's undercard, we discuss a couple of dream matches, the fact that several storylines were altered due to talent leaving the company before this event, and the fact that, SOMEHOW, The Ultimate Warrior managed to have a better match than Shawn Michaels.
