This week on Eavesdroppin' comedy podcast… Michelle gets dark as she looks at serial killers known as Angels of Death, aka, nurses who kill… Starting with children's nurse, Lucy Letby, who made headlines earlier this year when she was charged with 22 counts of murder or attempted murder. Michelle then looks at the case of Beverly Allitt, the British nurse who was sentenced to 13 life sentences in 1993 after murdering or attempting to kill 13 children. Why did they murder? How did it go undetected? And where are they now? Listen to find out! Geordie then delves into the murky world of organ trafficking… In March 2023, Ike Ekweremadu, a senior Nigerian politician and his wife were convicted of organ trafficking by bringing a street trader from Lagos to London to do the deed. Spoiler alert - it didn't happen. Geordie then looks at China's forced organ-harvesting trade that is rife in Chinese prisons, before recounting the horrific case of Blanca Arellano, who was catfished online from her home in Mexico by a Peruvian man, Juan Pablo Jesús Villafuerte. Instead of finding love, she lost her life – and her organs. So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week's rough ride, plus chitchat about Ky the guinea pig (RIP), David Beckham and more, only on Eavesdroppin' podcast.
