On Eavesdroppin' comedy podcast this week, Geordie and Michelle look at two mysterious murders – listen with discretion! When Texas land leaser Greg Fleniken settled in for the evening at the Eleganté Hotel in Beaumont, Texas, with a ciggy and some snacks, he was expecting a quiet night in, just him and the telly. The next morning when Greg's wife Susie couldn't get hold of Greg on the phone, she asked a couple of Greg's co-workers to check in on him. What they found was Greg dead on the floor, ciggy in hand, not a scratch on him. At first, the police put Greg's death down to natural causes – but unexplainable internal injuries pointed to murder. So what happened to Greg? How did he receive extreme internal injuries without any noticeable external injuries? And was it really murder? Listen now to hear Geordie discuss one of the biggest online murder mysteries and unravel the case…Michelle then discusses one of the most shocking, horrifying and all-round disgusting cases ever covered on Eavesdroppin' – the murder of Christina Parcell, also known as the Rose Petal Murder… When vet technician Christina was found stabbed more than 30 times in the face and neck, the community of Greer in the USA was in shock – who would want to murder their vet? But when the police dug a little deeper into the case, what they found was deeply disturbing. Photos and videos on Christina's phone uncovered a dark side that no one saw coming. Trigger warning – this case touches on child abuse, bestiality, murder and more, so please listen with caution. So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week's episode, plus chit-chat about Chloe Koyce's viral hotel-lift tiktok vid, cupcakes, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visiting an Eavesdropper and more, only on Eavesdroppin' podcast. Hey well read baddies! She's baaaaack! Dating and relationship expert, podcast host, and author Damona Hoffman returns for another #Black365 ep and for a much-needed update on love in the year 2025. We're talking about learned dating skills, how to change your mindset for better matches, and why this is still actually the best time in history to be single (yes, even now). On Eavesdroppin' comedy podcast this week, Geordie and Michelle look at the confusing, confounding, reality-bending Jejune Institute… If you were in San Francisco in 2008, you might have seen intriguing posters and flyers for something called The Jejune Institute. After tearing off a small square of paper from the bottom of the poster and calling the number, you would be transported into the world of Nonchalance and into a game of inter-dimensional hopscotch that saw people questioning reality, themselves and the world they lived in. You'd follow clues, make phone calls, get followed, realise an entire street with thousands of people was fake... It was a mind-bending experience and highly organised. Or was it? This week, Geordie looks at this bizarre institute and questions whether the entire set up was just highly complex immersive theatre, a real game that actually existed or whether it was an art hoax designed to blur the lines between fact and fiction with a fake documentary...So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week's episode, plus chit-chat about Gene Hackman, fluffy pussies and more, only on Eavesdroppin' podcast. Leave a Voice Note for a chance to get on the Podcast Follow Sheila on IG Grab time with Sheila If you've ever been told that being a service-based professional means you have to suck it up, accept whatever client walks in the door no matter how little they want to pay you, and that you're never going to make any money unless you scale and grow a huge team, then you're in for a spin, because none of that is true! >>>> Transcript: If you've ever been in a sticky client situation, not knowing what to do or what to say, afraid to get a lawyer involved but knowing you needed guidance, then the Managing Client Disputes™️ podcast is for you! Hi, I'm Sheila M. Wilkinson, and I've got lots of titles: Attorney, Social Worker, Career and Business Coach, Educator and Consultant for Creatives of all kinds - designers, architects, artists, web developers, and everyone in between. My favorite clients call me their Business Mom, their Punk Rock Group Leader, Momma Bear Sheila, and the OG Digital Nomad. My clients always ask themselves, What Would Sheila Say?®️ - because the truth is, I will always say to do what feels right in your body, not in your brain. But that's all easier said than done, right? Well, in 2010, I walked away from a multi-million dollar business that I built from scratch because it wasn't right for me anymore - success had always been about the material things - the car, the money, the gadgets and the clothes. But in 2007, I realized that there's no amount of money that can take the place of the peace I feel when I work with the right people, taking on the right projects, for the right pay. Since 2010, I've built the actual life of my dreams - I live on two continents, have a fully virtual business with incredible, joy-inducing clients, and I have an amazing partner I adore. I'm happier than I ever was before because NOW, I do what's right for ME, even though it's wildly different than what the rest of the world told me I should do - and I teach my clients how to do the same. 15 years ago, I had the idea for CreativesEd®️ - a Business Academy for Creatives, Designers and Other Service-Based Business Owners who care about their community and who care about doing good work for good people. A place where LGBT folx and our allies could come together to focus on making a positive impact on the world. A place for people who care about getting it right, who have an appreciation of all things, great and small. A place for people who care about the future of our world. A place where you're not just a service-provider providing a deliverable but a human who wants to beautify our world and not just add to the noise. I envisioned a place where people like you can access the business and legal information you need without breaking the bank. After spending all those years working with creative freelancers and small businesses, I realized they all had the same thing in common: they all wanted a successful, Joyful and Thriving™️business, but they were afraid to stand up for themselves, they were afraid to price themselves appropriately, and they were afraid to say no to the clients and the projects that did not light them up. In this podcast, you'll get the practical, realistic, no holds barred information you need NOW, so you can get clear about the people, projects, and pay you actually want. Yes, my goal is to help you manage client disputes, but I also want you to take what you learn here and prevent client disputes in the future! I want to help you confidently navigate client relationships so you can protect your peace, your heart, and your reputation. Today, and every day together on this podcast, we'll think big. No more fear! No more whack a mole with client disputes - we're going to fix the problem and prevent the problem in the future - letting the world know you deserve to be treated with respect, paid fairly, and not nickel-and-dimed for the amazing work you do. New episodes usually drop every other week so you have time to implement what we talk about in each episode. To get the most out of our time together, I encourage you to listen to each episode at least twice. Your brain needs time to process what we're going to cover together, so give it the space and time it deserves and implement the tips, strategies, and scripts I'm going to give you on the show. So, for now, hit follow on your podcast platform and share this podcast with another creative who struggles with work/life balance and who wants to create the life and career they dream about, too! After you listen to a few episodes, I'd love it if you'd leave a 5-star rating and review and tell me what you loved most, and don't forget that you can send me a voice note and ask any question you have about how to manage your client disputes. I'll answer your question, and I might even invite you to join me on the show for live coaching! So, with that, I will let you get back to your day, thanks so much for listening. I'm super excited about what's to come and once you see how easy it is to really, truly have the life you want, you're going to kick yourself for all the years you spent stressed out!

On Eavesdroppin' comedy podcast this week, Geordie and Michelle look at two missing persons cases with a twist… In 1981, 13 year old Mary Louise Day disappeared without a trace. Her parents told her sisters that Mary had run away from home, but Mary was never reported missing by her parents and according to them, Mary never made contact again with her family. Twenty two years later, Mary's sister, Sherrie, wanted answers and finally reported Mary missing. What happened next was a bizarre set of circumstances that has left police and the public confounded to this day as to what REALLY happened to Mary. Listen now to find out more about this strange case!Geordie follows with a story of trail-cam footage, a missing backpack and a skeleton found in a forest that remains, as of the time of this recording, unidentified. What makes this case even more strange is that this all happened in 2022, but the details of the case only came to light in 2024. No media attention, no news reports and, if not for a handful of Reddit sleuths, this case might never have seen the light of day. With speculation around the identity of the skeleton, the public is wondering, is the skeleton that of missing Bullhead City Arizona woman, Amber Rae Johnston? Listen now to know more...So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week's episode, plus chit-chat about Charlize Theron and what the heck is she doing in Canberra, charity shopping and more telly recs, only on Eavesdroppin' podcast. Hey well-read baddies! This week we're back with another #Black365 minisode and are joined by Cecily (@CecilyAlexa)—singer, songwriter, and one of the 13,000 members of the recording academy. The Washington, DC native has a rich, soothing sound rooted in mid-century Soul and Jazz. Often drawing comparisons to Minnie Riperton and Amel Larrieux, her music is imbued with a unique sensuality that informs not only her vocal approach, but also her self-reflecting lyrics. Cecily has been heralded for her poetic writing style. Grounded in an easy vulnerability, her lyrics speak of deep lessons around self-acceptance, freedom, community and love. We dive into her creative process, how All About Love by Bell Hooks shaped her latest project, and why music is basically a spell (so choose your bops wisely). 01:52 Introduction and Shout Out Corner 3:42 Coffee Break 31:03 Get into the Guest Books mentioned and recs- https://bookshop.org/shop/shewellread We can't wait to hear from you! :) Please send any questions or comments about this episode to shewellread@gmail.com or use the form at the bottom of the SWR Podcast page: https://www.shewellread.com/contact OR leave us a Voice Note at https://www.speakpipe.com/shewellread Follow SHE WELL READ!
