Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores appeared in a U.S. court in New York City earlier today following the illegal kidnapping of Venezuela's president. Donald Trump has now acknowledged that he consulted with U.S. oil monopolies before and after the attack on Venezuela. The U.S. Congress did not authorize this attack, and Trump, while consulting with the oil company executives, refused to even brief Congress. Brian Becker and Layan Fuleihan discuss.

Heartbreak nearly killed him.Kevin Crenshaw shares his raw and deeply honest journey through heartbreak, suicidal thoughts, addiction, chronic illness, and losing everything — long before his life ever “looked” like it was falling apart. In this episode of I Am Redemption, Kevin opens up about how heartbreak shattered his identity, how chasing love and relief slowly turned into deeper pain, and how avoidance led him down a path of addiction, mental health collapse, overdoses, homelessness, and a complete loss of self. What started as emotional pain and identity confusion escalated into a full unraveling. Kevin talks candidly about surviving his own mind, losing trust in himself, and hitting moments where he didn't know if he would make it out alive.Despite near-death experiences, illness, and repeated attempts to escape his pain, Kevin continued to spiral, a reality many people struggling in silence know all too well. This conversation dives into the truth about heartbreak, addiction, and healing, why “high functioning” doesn't mean healthy, and why awareness alone isn't enough to change.A significant part of Kevin's story also centers on his relationship with God, not in a polished or performative way, but in the moments where he had nothing left. He shares how faith entered the picture at his lowest points, how surrender replaced control, and how trusting God became part of rebuilding his life from the ground up.Kevin also talks candidly about:• Heartbreak and identity loss• Suicidal ideation and mental health collapse• Addiction, overdoses, and avoidance• Chronic illness and nervous system burnout• Homelessness and losing everything• Wrestling with God during suffering• Surrender, faith, and letting go of control• Responsibility vs. awareness• Rebuilding from nothing without romanticizing painThis episode is for anyone who:• Appears put together while quietly struggling• Has tied their identity to love, success, or validation• Is surviving instead of truly living• Is sober-curious, in recovery, or facing emotional pain alone• Is questioning faith, meaning, or purpose in the middle of sufferingIf this conversation resonates, you're not alone, and there is a way forward.Kevin Crenshaw Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/the.heart.guyI Am Redemption Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/iam.redemptionYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@IAmRedemption

As the U.S. military remains mostly opaque on the details of ongoing aggression against Venezuelan targets, Donald Trump lack of filter and braggadocious inclinations mean there is little holding him back from blurting about a recent U.S. attack. Margaret Donovan, former federal prosecutor and former Judge Advocate General officer, and MS NOW senior national security reporter David Rohde discuss what is known about what the U.S. is doing in Venezuela and whether the Trump administration is reverse engineering legal justifications for its actions. With the arrest of Pastor Joe Campbell earlier this month on child sex abuse charges, the women who have spent decades seek justice for abuse they accuse Campbell of committing may be closer to that goal. Abuse survivor Phaedra Creed talks with Antonia Hylton about her feelings about Campbell's arrest, the effort it took, and insights her experience offers for women who were abused at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates. The ongoing release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files continues to raise more questions than answers. PREVIEW; In this interview, historian James Tabor discusses his research into the historical identity of Jesus's biological father, as explored in his book The Lost Mary. He examines the ancient name Pantera, which appears in early texts and has been linked to both the family of Joseph and a specific Roman soldier stationed in Germany. By analyzing a nineteenth-century archaeological discovery of a tombstone belonging to a soldier from the Sidon region, Tabor investigates whether this individual could be the man mentioned in ancient traditions. While traditional scholarship identifies Josephas the father, Tabor uses archaeological evidence and linguistic clues to consider alternative possibilities. His work seeks to reconstruct the life of Mary by synthesizing fragmentary historical records and physical artifacts. This investigation highlights the complexities of tracing ancestral lineages through the intersection of biblical tradition and Roman military history. MORE TOMORROW, CHRISTMAS DAY. 1687

What if God's greatest revelations come in the most inconvenient moments? In this captivating conclusion to the Advent series, “The Arrival: When He Appears,” Pastor Jordan Deal dives deep into Revelation 1:4-8, exploring God's eternal nature as He who was, is, and is to come—with a powerful focus on embracing “He is” in the present. He challenges us to let go of our preconceived expectations and graven images of God, leaning not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6), but on spiritual discernment through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:9-16). Unpacking the “inconvenient” timing of Jesus' birth in a brutal Roman world—born in a cave-like manger among sacrificial lambs, announced to Levitical shepherds, and sought by Magi guided by ancient prophecies—this message reveals how God's appearances often offend and reveal our hearts, yet invite us to place unwavering hope in Him alone. If you're struggling to see God in your now, this sermon will open your eyes to His mysterious ways!

In view of Christ's certain coming, three realities stand out for believers. First, they are commanded to abide in Christ, specifically to abide or remain in the true doctrine of Christ and to abide or remain in a Christian lifestyle that reflects the righteousness of Christ. Secondly, they are assured of the certain hope of Christ's return. This will mean their resurrection from the dead and their reception into his bodily presence, as well as the end of sin and evil and death. And thirdly, Christ's appearance confirms our privileged position before him as children of God. He loved us first before we ever loved him, and he sent his Son to die for our sins. He has done all that was necessary to remove our sins and bring us into his everlasting fellowship.

In our final episode of 2025, we discuss a tumultuous year in U.S. foreign assistance. It has not always been clear who is calling the shots in the new world of U.S. development funding, but we break down who we believe are the key players in this moment of uncertainty. We are also seeing that the State Department is rebuilding its workforce, and across the world, positions are opening up to fill the gaps created by the obliteration of the U.S. Agency for International Development. It's all part of a messy scramble to reassemble the staff needed to oversee billions in foreign aid — and the first visible sign of a system trying to piece itself back together. To piece together these emerging clues about the future, Business Editor David Ainsworth sits down with Senior Reporter Michael Igoe and Global Development Reporter Elissa Miolene for the latest episode of our weekly podcast series. During the sponsored segment of This Week in Global Development, Devex's Kate Warren speaks with Terre des Hommes Netherlands' Asia regional director about the organization's commitment to creating systemic change to address the root causes of child exploitation, as well as the importance of a multi-stakeholder protection ecosystem. The Pantera Mystery: Historical Inquiry Into Jesus's Biological Father — James Tabor — Tabor investigates the name "Pantera," which appears linked to Jesus in early Jewish texts and on a Roman tombstone discovered in Germany. Tabor explores whether this historical name indicates that Jesus possessed a biological father—potentially a Roman soldier or Jewish relative—thereby challenging orthodox Christian theology regarding virgin birth through historical investigation into what Tabor characterizes as "Mary's secret." Tabor emphasizes that this historical hypothesis requires examination of textual evidence and archaeological artifacts traditionally excluded from theological discourse. 1687
