Kevin Reeve was a one-of-a-kind instructor, friend, and family man. As a featured guest on our podcast over the years, Kevin always shared his real-world experience in some of the most esoteric "survival sciences" you'll ever find - from remote tracking, to his signature "Urban Escape & Evasion" class. Kevin passed away this month after a long battle with illness and as a tribute to his legacy, we're bringing back a "members-only" Q&A he did with us several years ago. It's a great look into the widely-varied skills and experience Kevin had, and brought to all of his students - whether they were military units he was called in to train... or the civilian "Warriors" he loved to rub elbows with. Enjoy this special broadcast... and Rest In Peace Kevin. You'll be missed brother.

The Politics of Being America's Professional Diplomats (0:28)Guest: Paul Richter, Former State Department Correspondent for the Los Angeles Times, Author of “The Ambassadors: America's Diplomats on the Front Lines”Some of the most damaging testimony against President Trump in the impeachment inquiry has come from people who've made their careers working as diplomats for the US government. They're not political appointees, so they often stay on the job even when they disagree with the President. Rarely do those differences burst into the spotlight as dramatically as they are right now. Let's take a closer look at the politics of America's Foreign Service. This Guy Trains People to Escape from Kidnappers and Avoid Capture (40:03)Guest: Kevin Reeve, Founder, onPoint Tactical Tracking SchoolUnless you're a foreign correspondent, aid worker or defense contractor, the chances that you'll be kidnapped for ransom or forced on the run trying to evade capture are very slim. But apparently a fair number of ordinary folks fantasize about escaping a hostage situation like one of those tough characters Liam Neeson plays in movies. Kevin Reeve is their guy. He does kidnap and evasion simulations and teaches participants things like how to manipulate your captor and break free of duct tape or zip ties. Reeve has also consulted on movies and with the military. How Corporations Avoid Paying Federal Income Tax (51:12)Guest: Matthew Gardner, Senior Fellow at the Institute of Taxation and Economic PolicyYou've maybe heard that some of America's biggest corporations managed to pay nothing in federal income taxes last year. Netflix, Amazon, Chevron, Delta Airlines, Eli Lilly, General Motors, IBM, US Steel–that's a partial list. And these companies were profitable in 2018. So the fact that they paid no income tax sounds like cheating. They're very touchy about being called tax cheats. When the New York Times did a front-page story on FedEx's zero taxes for 2018 a few weeks ago, the CEO of FedEx called it an “outrageous distortion” and challenged the publisher of the New York Times to a duel. Okay, not a duel. A debate about taxes. But it had a sort of Hamilton/Burr feel to it. So, what's going on here? How do profitable companies pay no income tax on those profits? Humanitarian Forensic Scientists Identify the Dead after Disasters (1:06:21)Guest: Stephen Cordner, Professor of Forensic Pathology at Monash University and Head of the International Programmes at Victorian Institute of Forensic MedicineIn any humanitarian response –whether it's for a natural disaster or a war –the focus is primarily on the survivors. Unfortunately, there are usually also the dead to attend to. Fifteen years ago, the International Committee of the Red Cross recognized the need to formalize that part of the humanitarian response and created something known as “humanitarian forensics.” Humans Drank Milk 6,000 Years Ago (1:19:52)Guest: Sophy Charlton, Researcher of Biomolecular Archaeology at the University of YorkTheaverage American consumes more than 600 pounds of dairy products per year. But it definitely didn't used to be that way –humans couldn't always drink milk. Ancient adults were lactose intolerant, and it's still a mystery why so many humans aren't anymore. That's why it was a big surprise when researchers from the University of York examined teeth from people who lived 6,000 years ago and discovered that they consumed dairy.

Pssst. Hey, buddy... Are you an international spy? Of course you're not (well, everybody except the one guy reading this who IS). But there are CIA-style "spy skills" that can protect you and your family from a VERY REAL threat. That threat is made up of the stalkers, kidnappers, and sexual predators who are all around us. Don't think it can't happen to you and your family... That's because nearly 800,000 kids are reported missing every year, while thousands of adults are ALSO targeted. In fact, kidnapping is one of the most common crimes in the industrialized world. If you and your family were targeted by a kidnapper or a stalker, would you know how to tell? What can you do to safeguard yourself and your family from stalkers, or evade a kidnapper who has targeted you? If you WERE kidnapped, would you know what to do to survive... and to escape? Grid-down blackouts... Ebola-like pandemics... economic collapse... Any number of threats we face could trigger a wide-scale shutdown of our entire infrastructure that keeps us "safe and secure". When that happens, most people will suffer because they aren't prepared... not prepared with the skills... the supplies... or with the knowledge of what to expect over the next days, weeks, months. This week, Kevin Reeve and I take a "no b.s." look at exactly what you can expect to see in the streets across the country should we face the impending doom of an all-out collapse (or even a temporary local-based disaster)... ... and what you need to do NOW to survive! Here's what you'll find in this week's episode... The #1 threat you'll face in a collapse! (Hint: It's not food, water, or shelter!) Why the heart-warming "cooperation phase" after a disaster can set you up for a nasty beat-down within just a few days! Real-world insights into anarchy and chaos that could threaten you and your loved ones when your fellow citizens freak out! How to survive when it's "every man for himself"! Why our civilized society isn't that far off from transforming into a remote African Civil War with warlords, checkpoints, and terror! The 3 steps you need to take NOW to prepare for a collapse! This isn't fantasy survival doomsday stuff, my friend. We've seen these collapse phases take place around the world and even here in the good 'ol U.S. of A. Don't make the mistake of putting off your preps!

Whether it's a search-and-rescue mission to locate a lost child... or evading the desperate masses of zombie citizens after a collapse, your ability to "read" the land for clues is a skill that few survivalists ever prepare for. Big mistake. In this special broadcast, we speak with expert trainer, Kevin Reeve of OnPoint Tactical, about methods used by the legendary Apache Scouts that YOU can use to master the skills of "survival tracking". Here's what awaits you in this week's episode... How to train yourself to see more... sense more... and develop an invisible communication with the land around you! Big mistakes made by most people that will never allow you to track another person's movements when you need to be on their trail! Secret signs to look for when tracking a lost team member or recovering supplies stolen by rogue "war parties" after a collapse! How to employ "counter-tracking" skills to hide your movement when bugging out to safety! Strategic tactics to find... approach... and "read" an area (especially urban zones) to avoid danger when on the run! These are the survival skills very few will ever know about and Kevin really over-delivered with this over 1-hour brain-dump. The only thing better is his personal scouting course he's known for! Enjoy!

Urban Escape & Evasion Tactics To Stay Off The Radar
Modern Combat & Survival | Tactical Firearms | Urban Survival | Close Quarters Combat Training
During periods of collapse or martial law, the last thing you want to do is "stand out" from those around you. If you're noticed, you can be targeted - either by looters, police, or just desperate citizens looking for a handout. Your goal should be virtually invisible to others as much as possible - a "Gray Man" - and stay off the radar of the wolves among the sheep. This week, escape and evasion expert, Kevin Reeve, joins us for some of his best survival tips for urban invisibility. Here's what you'll discover when you listen in: The key factors in "going Gray" so you can avoid unwanted attention from the authorities and "zombies" looking to take what you have! How to override the instinctive biological "radar system" of those who are actively seeking out targets for looting or a government "round up" of potential threats! "Collapse camouflage" - how to blend into any environment like a chameleon (without looking like a dorky human shrub)! How to project a "don't mess with me" aura without raising the red flag that you could be trouble to those in power around you! How to spot the "wolves among the sheep" so you can see danger coming a mile away - long before you and your loved ones can be victimized! Whether navigating the chaos of a societal meltdown or a town siezed by martial law, these tactics of invisibility will help keep you and your family safe. Learn them... know them... practice them (now)!
