Ex-Marine FBI Chief Exposes Dark Truth: How Military Training Helped Decker Evade Capture Former Marine officer and FBI Behavioral Analysis Chief Robin Dreeke delivers a chilling analysis of how Travis Decker's military training transformed from honorable service to deadly expertise in evading justice. As the $2 million manhunt enters its second week, Dreeke exposes the dark reality of what happens when elite infantry skills meet severe mental illness. Decker's Expert Infantry Badge and Afghanistan deployment gave him advanced wilderness survival capabilities, tactical evasion techniques, and the discipline to disappear off-grid for months. Dreeke, uniquely qualified as both a Marine and FBI expert, explains how military-trained fugitives think differently - they plan escape routes, cache supplies, and understand counter-surveillance at a level that challenges even federal manhunt teams. But here's what authorities know: military precision degrades under psychological pressure. Dreeke reveals the specific mistakes Decker is making - daylight movement near Blewett Pass, predictable water source patterns, and the helicopter flight response that confirms his location. The very training that makes him dangerous also makes him predictable to those who understand military psychology. Most disturbing, Dreeke analyzes how Decker's military mindset enabled the methodical murder of his daughters - using zip-ties and plastic bags with tactical efficiency. This wasn't rage; it was a mission. Understanding this military-familicide connection is crucial for identifying future risks among struggling veterans. Dreeke's insights into the Rapidly Advancing Manhunt program reveal how authorities are using Decker's own training against him. In April 2023, he fled from ICE agents in his truck. In July 2023, he set fire to his Norcross apartment to evade arrest, displacing 20-30 residents and injuring himself. Federal prosecutors highlighted his dangerous actions, which endangered law enforcement and the public. The case involved multiple agencies, emphasizing the commitment to holding individuals accountable for reckless and violent behavior. STORY 2: Gwinnettians denounce Trump policies during 'No Kings' protest This weekend, over 1,500 people gathered in Suwanee for a 'No Kings' protest against President Trump's policies. Organized by local volunteer Kevin Vazquez, the event aimed to highlight concerns over women's rights, immigration, and the administration's direction. Suwanee resident Maria King-Smart joined to advocate for democracy, declaring, 'History repeats itself, and I don’t want it to.' Protestors held signs like 'Defend Democracy' and 'No Kings Since 1776.' The peaceful demonstration contrasted with clashes at protests elsewhere. The event emphasized community unity, with Gwinnett County’s diverse voices calling for change. State Rep. Jasmine Clark labeled Trump a 'parasite' needing history lessons. Struggling to stay dry amidst constant rain, they now wander the streets, battling trench foot and exhaustion. Denied stable shelter, the pair survives by collecting scrap metal, yet earn only enough for basics like food. Workman dreams of buying a vehicle to improve their situation, but obstacles remain. Local businesses, citing cleanliness and safety concerns, have pressured authorities to clear camps. Despite hardships, Workman warns, 'Anyone is one paycheck away from being here.' Their resilience remains unwavering. STORY 5: Piedmont Eastside Medical Center Opens Neurology Practice Piedmont Eastside Medical Center welcomed neurologists Dr. Ogonna Iwuora [Oh-GOH-nah Ee-WOR-ah] and Dr. Paula Lee to Piedmont Neurology at Eastside. Located on Tree Lane, the practice now offers advanced treatments for conditions like epilepsy, dementia, and headaches. Dr. Iwuora, board-certified in neurology and neurophysiology, completed her fellowship at Emory University and specializes in dementia and epilepsy care. Dr. Lee brought over a decade of expertise, focusing on refractory epilepsy and therapies like RNS and VNS. She trained at Tufts Medical Center and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Accepting new patients, the team provides personalized care options with modern, non-invasive techniques. Break: STORY 6: Summer school is a time to get ahead at Georgia Gwinnett College This summer, a record 5,300 students enrolled at Georgia Gwinnett College, proving summer isn’t just for vacations. Many are earning credits to graduate early, boosting GPAs, or exploring new subjects. Nursing student Phoenix Winbush says summer classes help her stay focused, earning top grades. IT major Isaiah Jones uses the term to explore history and psychology. With compressed five-week courses, students like Winbush emphasize the need for discipline. Financial aid is available for eligible students, but Assistant Director Jacqueline Garcia Mendez advises balancing workloads to stay on track. For some, like visiting student Sara Swope, GGC’s atmosphere and professors are a major draw. STORY 7: NCG Cinemas opening new Snellville theater this weekend NCG Cinemas celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Snellville’s Presidential Markets shopping center last Friday. (The Center Square) – The Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended a Milwaukee judge facing two federal charges for allegedly trying to help a man illegally in the country escape from immigration officials. The order, released late Tuesday, said Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan faces two federal charges – one a felony and one a misdemeanor – and it is in the public interest to relieve her of her duties temporarily. “The court is charged in the Wisconsin Constitution with exercising superintending and administrative authority of the courts of this state. In the exercise of that constitutional authority and in order to uphold the public's confidence in the courts of this state during the pendency of the criminal proceeding against Judge Dugan, we conclude, on our own motion, that it is in the public interest that she be temporarily relieved of her official duties,” the order reads. Join Jim and Greg for the latest 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss the FBI arresting a Wisconsin judge for helping an illegal alien evade ICE, Colorado Democrats moving to criminalize cooperation with ICE, and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker signaling a likely but probably futile 2028 presidential campaign.First, they break down the shocking story of Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan, who allegedly allowed a criminal illegal alien defendant to escape her courtroom through the jury door to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from taking him into custody. Democrats and the media are trying to portray Dugan's arrest as political retaliation for opposing former President Trump's immigration policies. Jim and Greg explain why that narrative is completely false.Next, they dive into Colorado's efforts to punish government employees, school officials, and others who cooperate with ICE agents. Jim finds it amusing how the left, after years of demanding federal supremacy on immigration, now embraces state power when it suits their agenda. Greg points out that these first two martinis highlight an inescapable conclusion about many Democrats. Finally, they preview the likely 2028 presidential campaign of Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker. Jim and Greg note the irony of the multi-billionaire governor trying to position himself as a populist while urging Democrats not to give Republicans a moment's peace. But they see many reasons why Pritzker's likely campaign will be a dud. Please visit our great sponsors:It's free, online, and easy to start—no strings attached. Today I'm speaking with Asad L. Asad, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Stanford University. He is the author of Engage and Evade: How Latino Immigrant Families Manage Surveillance in Everyday Life (Princeton UP, 2023). A highly relevant book, Engage and Evade documents the interactions between undocumented people and the agents and institutions of government. One might expect undocumented people to avoid the IRS, but as Asad demonstrates, many engage with government institutions in the hopes that positive interactions and compliance might help their immigration cases down the road. Published in 2023, immigration policy and treatment of undocumented people by the government has shifted dramatically in a short time. What if a cancer treatment worked—until it suddenly didn't? A new case report, “Acquired RUFY1-RET rearrangement as a mechanism of resistance to lorlatinib in a patient with CD74-ROS1 rearranged non-small cell lung cancer: A case report,” published in Oncotarget, reveals how a non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patient developed drug resistance through a rare genetic alteration, allowing the cancer to evade therapy. This unexpected finding highlights the importance of advanced genetic testing and personalized cancer treatments. Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, Targeted Therapy and Drug Resistance Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer is the most common type of lung cancer, accounting for nearly 85% of all cases. Some patients with NSCLC have genetic mutations, such as ROS1 gene fusions, that drive tumor growth. These patients often respond well to targeted therapies like lorlatinib, a ROS1 inhibitor that blocks cancer growth. However, cancer is constantly evolving. Over time, it can develop resistance to targeted therapies, leading to treatment failure. Understanding these resistance mechanisms is crucial for precision oncology, the approach of tailoring cancer treatment based on a patient's unique genetic profile. On a day of a resignation at a fairly high level, we also have a confession in court from another high profile operator. The problem with "high profile" is it tends to be high-wire. More is expected of you because of your role. Or is it? From the details available, which aren't many, Andrew Bayly didn't commit a sackable offence as far as I can work out. Putting your hand on the arm of a person you are having a “lively” discussion with isn't very cool, or acceptable, but in and of itself it's not the end of a career. But the trouble with Bayly is the "loser" thing in some way, shape or form was going to haunt him. So a small infringement, by way of a follow up misdemeanor, was always going to be larger than it would have been with a clean sheet. Also, Luxon has set the behaviour bar high. The precedent is there, so any trouble and you're out. Contrast that to Caleb Clark, who has pled guilty to dangerous driving and failing to stop for police. The max sentence, with sentencing happening in June, is many thousands of dollars, or months in prison. His lawyer wants him discharged without conviction. Unlike Bayly he hasn't offered to quit, so the question becomes: is it a sackable offence? Drink driving has been established with a number of incidents over the years with high profile convictions as not being sackable, so the precedent is set there. But what about dangerous driving, and more worryingly, with the message it sends of failing to stop for the police? Failing to stop with a view to what? Scarper? Not get caught? Evade the law? Get away with it? Law and order has been a major election issue and the polices rolling in to get on top of law breaking has been a major focus for most of us of late. If I, as a high profile operator, was up on charges of failing to stop or dangerous driving, would you expect me to be sacked? Would this workplace, beyond whatever happens in court, expect to see some sort of resignation? Or does profile only count in politics, where no law was broken but emotions get you sacked? What does an All Black have to do, illegally, to be sacked as an All Black? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
On this classic ID the Future out of the vault, we hear commentary on the singularity from distinguished cosmologist Frank Tipler, co-author of The Anthropic Cosmological Principle. The singularity in question isn't the supposed future singularity imagined by transhumanists, but the evidentially well-supported singularity at the foundation of the Big Bang. The equations are clear, says Tipler, as are their implications: among its many arresting features, the Big Bang singularity had an existence outside of space and time, was intrinsically infinite, and was not subject to any laws of physics. Atheists today still resist this conclusion, Tipler says, but only this conclusion has experimental support, and the negative implications for atheism are hard to miss. Source
In this episode Hazel chats with Omid Mirzaei, a security research lead in the email threat research team at Cisco Talos. Omid and several Talos teammates recently released a blog on hidden text salting (or poisoning) within emails and how attackers are increasingly using this technique to evade detection, confuse email scanners, and essentially try and get phishing emails to land in people's inboxes. Hidden text salting is a simple yet effective technique for bypassing email parsers, confusing spam filters, and evading detection engines that rely on keywords. The idea is to include some characters into the HTML source of an email that are not visually recognizable. For more, head to the Talos blog
On this episode of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered,” details for upcoming ICE raids have been leaked to the press, most recently to the Los Angeles Times. This has led to many illegal aliens eluding capture. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and border czar Tom Homan believe that the leaks are coming from inside the federal government. Pam Bondi talks about criminal prosecution for the leakers. Democrats are now calling for the impeachment of Elon Musk, but the American people are clearly in support of the DOGE and Donald Trump. Trump's DOJ demands that prosecutors drop New York City Mayor Eric Adams' corruption case, and CNN cries foul. The episode concludes as Sara and the panel discuss the 2,400 pages of documents related to the JFK assassination that were just "discovered."
