Why Did This Happen to Me? A Radical New Way to Understand Betrayal, Trauma & Life's Hardest Moments Why did this happen to me? If you've ever asked that question after betrayal, infidelity, or a life-altering experience… this conversation may completely shift how you see your story. In this deeply thought-provoking episode, I sit down with Rob Schwartz, author of Your Soul's Plan, to explore the concept of pre-birth planning—the idea that we may choose our biggest life challenges before we're even born. Yes… even betrayal. Before you dismiss this as “too out there,” stay with us. Because whether you take this literally or metaphorically, this conversation opens the door to something every woman healing from betrayal needs: Meaning perspective and the possibility of peace We explore what it means to view betrayal not as punishment—but as part of a larger soul journey… without bypassing the very real pain and trauma that comes with it. If you've ever wondered: Why did he cheat? Why did this happen to me? Is there any deeper meaning in this pain? How do I stop feeling like a victim of my life? This episode will stretch your thinking in the most powerful way. And most importantly—it will invite you back into your own power. Top 3 Takeaways What if your hardest experiences weren't random—but chosen for growth? The concept of pre-birth planning offers a radically different lens on betrayal, trauma, and life's biggest challenges. Understanding meaning doesn't replace healing—it deepens it. This is NOT about bypassing pain. True healing still requires emotional, somatic, and psychological work. You are not a victim of your life—you are a participant in your evolution. Shifting from “Why me?” to “What is this here to teach me?” can unlock profound clarity, forgiveness, and self-trust. His second book, Your Soul's Gift: The Healing Power of the Life You Planned Before You Were Born, explores the pre-birth planning of spiritual awakening, miscarriage, abortion, suicide, caregiving, sexuality, adoption, having pets, poverty, mental illness, and other life challenges and experiences. Recorded Sunday, 01 March 2026. This sermon teaches that Christianity is not about knowing about God but entering into a deep, intimate relationship with Him—becoming one with Him and receiving His love rather than striving for it. It emphasises that God's desire is covenant, not contract, where we respond to His unconditional love and live from that love in unity with Him and others.

"The goal, here, is options—the power to choose the life you want. And this life is not going to happen without investing."—Amanda Holden, author of How to Be a Rich Old Lady The key to learning anything we don't know is to choose to learn. Then, we need to find people who not only know what we want to acquire as knowledge, but also know how to teach it. Not only do they know how to teach it, but they sincerely want us to learn. As this episode/post finds you, we are all at different points along our life journey regarding our age, but we also, regardless of age, are at different points regarding our knowledge of investing. Wherever you are is exactly where you need to be to begin deepening your knowledge of what will set you free once you apply the skills and language of investing that Amanda Holden teaches in her book. Holden founded Invested Development after beginning her career in investment management. With degrees from UCLA in economics and communications, which make her a helpful guide as a teacher for the economics we want to learn, she transitioned into becoming one of the leading voices on women and money. Teaching in-person and online classes on money, her primary objective is to equip us with the tools and know-how so that finances don't prompt fear, but instead eradicate it and give us freedom. "To be a Rich Old Lady is to be rich in life, options, experiences, and especially love." —Amanda Holden In today's episode, I'm going to share with you seven guiding truths as a way to lay the foundation of where to begin and how to maintain steady progress to becoming rich. So that you aren't looking into your older years and fearing or wondering how you will survive, but instead are eager (but not rushing) for them to arrive because you know you will be thriving. ~Find the Show Notes for this episode on The Simply Luxurious Life blog - https://thesimplyluxuriouslife.com/podcast420

What does Romans 13 really say about submitting to government, loving your neighbor, and living urgently for Jesus in today's divided world? In this message, discover the biblical balance every believer needs between politics, love, and the soon return of Christ.Too many Christians either idolize politics (putting hope in leaders above the Kingdom) or ignore the world completely. Romans 13 shows a third way: joyful submission where possible, courageous resistance when necessary, and an unending debt of love we gladly pay every day — because Jesus paid it all on the cross. If you're tired of fear-driven politics or apathetic Christianity, this sermon will rekindle your hope. The Gospel doesn't call us to retreat or rage — it calls us to love sacrificially, live urgently, and point everyone to the mercy of Jesus.
Reincarnation has so many facets! Do our past lives determine our current bodies? Have we committed suicide in past lives? How does our method of death affect our future lives? Do our homes offer us a clue to what our past lives may have been?

Test the Spirits (Verses 1–6): Believers are warned not to believe every spirit but to test them to see whether they are from God. A true spirit acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Those who deny this are not from God but from the spirit of the antichrist. 2.God Is Love (Verses 7–21): The second half of the chapter emphasizes that love is the defining mark of God's children. If we truly know God, we will love others—because God is love. •God showed His love by sending His Son to die for our sins. •If God loves us that much, we should also love one another. •Perfect love casts out fear—especially fear of punishment—because love involves trust and intimacy with God. •If someone says, “I love God,” but hates their brother or sister, they are lying.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sendme-radio--732966/support.

It takes years for a couple's love to reach full maturity. After years together, Solomon's love for his bride has fully matured, and the fruit of their love has fully bloomed. As their love matured, they began to see each other's deepest beauty. Growing in the deepest bonds of intimacy takes time and intentionality for a couple. Solomon says that just as the best wine takes time, so does the deepest joy of marriage intimacy. The imagery in Song of Solomon 7 portrays marriage as a garden and the wife as a vineyard. If marriage is a garden, husbands are the lead gardeners. To pick the sweetest fruit in marriage is truly costly. Like any fruitful garden, it doesn't come cheap, and it won't come easy. It takes work, time, attention, and intention. How husbands can create the right climate for their wives to thrive: 1. Value her unconditionally. 2. Initiate intentional conversations. 3. Nurture trust and security. 4. Empty yourself into sacrificial service. You have to work in your garden, but you will be blessed and happy if you do it God's way. The abundant life is found in working obediently, loving faithfully, and living in transparency. Join Pastor Phil Hopper as he walks through Song of Solomon 7 and teaches men how to be gardeners in their marriages to nurture a mature love.

Today, Rev. Wendy Craig-Purell's final message in the "Anchored in Truth" series, Anchored in Love: Living in Peace and Harmony, emphasizes that love is the antidote to fear and the key to both personal and collective peace. Drawing from spiritual wisdom, the teachings of John O'Donohue and Gerald Jampolsky, and practices such as compassion, forgiveness, service, and recognizing our shared humanity, it reminds us that in a fear-filled world, anchoring in love and unity—like the oxen in Aesop's fable—is our greatest strength.Website: http://www.theunitycenter.net Download Our New App: https://theunitycenter.churchcenter.com/setupAsk Yourself This: https://www.amazon.com/Ask-Yourself-This-Questions-Expand/dp/087159336XSubscribe to our YouTube channel: http://bit.ly/2hBqp7F Purchase Lesson Series Packages: https://theunitycenter.net/sunday-series-packagesListen to our Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/6YJWcAhQUnkEHFqBXQmz1G

There is a kind of love that breaks every yoke and limitation. A love so vast, so incomprehensible, that human understanding cannot contain it. This is the love of God—the love of the Father for His children. And today, as we approach Passover, I want to remind us of the greatest expression of love, the love that Jesus our Lord demonstrated on the cross when He laid down His life for us.
Are you trying hard enough? Many live with a faith built on rules, effort, and religious compliance, but Jesus calls us to something greater—a love that is radical, grace-driven, and transformational. In this message, Pastor Fred unpacks Mark 12:28-34 and explores what it means to move from effort-based faith to the freedom of radical love.
To find true healing and restoration in your life, you must begin on the foundation of God's love. This series, "Living Free," is all about living intimately with God and finding healing and restoration for our brokenness.

What anger or bitterness do you need to surrender to live as Jesus teaches?
