This episode takes that tension seriously, treating motherhood not as a private contingency to be managed individually, but as a question of academic culture and institutional design.In this episode, Sissy Katsoni and Polina Kulish sit down with Michelle Staggs Kelsall, Joyce De Coninck and Tania Ixchel Atilano to discuss the realities of motherhood in modern legal academia, the anxieties many women academics experience when considering whether and when to have children, as well as practical steps needed to make academic legal spaces more inclusive.Before the interview, Céline Chausse introduces the discussion by reflecting on the ‘Women in International Law' symposium and the importance of bringing mothers' experiences into conversations about legal academia as a workplace. Geflüchtete und Migranten, die darüber nachdenken, wieder in ihre Heimat zurückzukehren, können sich im Stadthaus in Mainz unverbindlich beraten lassen: bei der Rückkehrberatung der Malteser. 2005 wurde sie eingerichtet und wird als Teil des Programms „Freiwillige Rückkehr“ vom Land Rheinland-Pfalz gefördert. In den vergangenen zwei Jahren sind etwa 80 Familien und Einzelpersonen mit Unterstützung der Rückkehrberatung in ihr Land zurückgekehrt. Sie kamen vor allem aus den Balkanstaaten, Armenien, Aserbaidschan und Georgien. Die Schicksale sind sehr individuell. Unsere Reporterin hat sich einmal erkundigt, wie die Rückkehrberatung der Malteser in Mainz bei ihrer Arbeit vorgeht. Dabei hat sie einen afghanischen Flüchtling getroffen, der sich gerade auf seine Ausreise vorbereitet. Weitere Themen in der Sendung sind unter anderen. Der Migrationsbericht der Malteser und eine Wohnrauminitiative für Flüchtlinge und Obdachlose. Moderation Cüneyt Özadali.
