The Alabama Bass represents a tremendous threat to Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass fisheries. Alabama bass negatively impact smallmouth bass by outcompeting them for resources, hybridizing with them to the point of replacing the native species, and creating fisheries with smaller adult bass.
